“Please stay… don’t leave.. I need you here right now.” Her voice timid and pleading.
“I’ll stay, don’t worry just go to sleep I’ll be right here.” The brunette tells her; with love poured into the words.
Crawling under the covers whilst looking into Faith’s eyes, Buffy quickly drifts of to sleep, knowing her other halve is watching over her. Chocolate brown eyes, rest upon her slight frame and take in every inch. Faith keeps vigil until she is quite sure the older slayer is deep asleep. The brunette silently creeps out of the room to do what she knows she must, but not before swearing to her lover that she’ll be back in time for some loving.
*<at the beginning of dawn>*
The quiet peacefulness of the end of night was brusquely broken by a loud creaking. The bed couldn’t help but bring forth the noise, as the writhing blonde’s body that was lying in it was so forceful in its movements that it shook the frame into emitting protesting sounds.
Her flushed skin was covered in a fine layer of sweat, most likely from the tossing and turning she’d done. Her lips opened slightly, as her chest rose and fell in a quick tempo, to supply her deprived lungs with the necessary air. Pleading moans uttered with such desperation you would believe she was begging for her life. “Please… Oh god please…” were the only ones spoken clearly enough to catch.
Fists in-voluntary clenched so tightly around bed linens that the blood drained away from the knuckles leaving them stark white in contrast against the dark sheets. Whispers rising with desperation, gaining in intensity to finally rise to a long drawn out screech.
After the primal scream, which tore her from dream to consciousness, she was left with the almost deafening quiet that now filled the empty room. Only accompanied by the chills that were left in her body after the erotic dream. And she knew, knew that her dark lover would not return to this bed… because Caleb had succeeded. Faith was dead, and the only thing that Buffy could do was cry her loss to the rising sun.
