PART 21 - A Visit To New York

Faith sat with Buffy in the rec room. "Here B, your show is on." She brushed past all the other inmates and changed the channel.

Buffy looked at the television, and smiled. *Yes, I like this show.* Faith settled next to her and took her hand.

"Maybe, you would like some ice cream?" The dark slayer waved at Martha who approached smiling.

"Does she want a treat?" She bent close to Buffy. "What would you like, dear?" Martha looked at the silent slayer worriedly. Faith's girl still hadn't spoken a word, but Martha was more troubled by Faith's apparent lack of concern. It was as if her friend didn't notice that the little blonde was like a zombie.

"She'll have an ice cream sandwich. Thanks Martha." The brunette brushed a few unruly locks from Buffy's face. She noticed the black eye was completely gone. *How could I have missed that before?!* Faith reached down and gently touched Buffy's side, feeling her ribs carefully. *Healed. She's completely healed.*

Devon stood outside the doors of the luxurious townhouse. He was now in uptown, Manhattan, patiently waiting with his assistant. The doors opened and a maid peered out at them.

"Yes? May I help you?"

"We have an appointment with Miss Merteuil, please. I am Devon Randall and this is my assistant, Ms. McGregor."

"Yes, sir. If you'd please come in, I will inform Miss Merteuil." The maid's polite discourse was interrupted by a nasty shout.

"Who the hell is it, Maria?! I told you I wasn't accepting any visitors today! Are you as stupid as you are lazy! Send them away!"

"But Miss, they say they have an appointment." The maid stood wringing her hands nervously as a young and very beautiful brunette came around the corner. She was striking. Devon immediately could see the resemblance to Miss Summers.

He held out his hand. "Miss Merteuil, I am with Wolfram and Hart. We spoke briefly on the telephone."

Kathryn's lip curled up in a wicked grin. "Maria, why didn't you say it was someone from my attorney's office?!" She turned toward Devon. "You'll have to excuse my maid; she's a bit thick. It's hard to find good help these days, you know how it is." Kathryn chuckled as she led her guests toward the drawing room. "So what is it I can help you with? I was under the impression from Lilah that I had paid my debt. What other favors could you people or should I say creatures," with that the little brunette laughed. "I'm sorry. Perhaps you are human. Anyway, what else do you need?"

Devon sat down and opened up his briefcase. "We just need the details of the spell."

"How the hell should I know?!" Kathryn sauntered back toward a desk and removed a piece of paper which she handed Devon. "All I have is this. Lilah sent an assistant several weeks ago and I gave a sample of my blood. That's really all the information I can give you. Now, have you come to discuss my cousin's little predicament or not? Because I'd really like his situation cleared up. Drunk driving is such a nasty inconvenience on one's driving record, don't you think?"

His assistant leaned close and whispered. "I told her you'd take her cousin's case." Devon nodded and peered back at Kathryn.

"So I take it your situation regarding the cocaine charges and Sebastian's accident have been attended to?" Devon regarded the bitchy brunette carefully.

"Oh god yes. Lilah straightened that out for me. Now let's get back to my cousin's problem."

*****

"It was always you." Faith whispered to her fellow slayer as she ran her hands over the little blonde's side. "It had to be you. You're the only one I could ever love." The brunette could feel tears stinging her eyes as she regarded the beautiful little blonde in front of her.

*Faith loves me?! Things just keep getting stranger! Oh well, it's better then her trying to kill me.* Buffy looked at her and gave a faint smile before turning back toward the television.

"An ice cream sandwich for Faith's girl." Martha said proudly, holding it out. Faith took the treat and unwrapped it. Then she handed the ice cream sandwich to the little slayer who eagerly snatched it from her and began happily munching.

PART 22 - Calling For Help

Faith stood fidgeting as she waited for the guard to dial the phone. She needed to hurry and get back to Buffy. The slayer could hardly bring herself to leave Buffy for even a few minutes, but at least she had left the little blonde with Martha... and William said that he would keep an eye out for her too.

The guard handed her the phone. Switching it in her hand, Faith cursed silently. "C'mon someone has to be home. Dammit, answer the phone! C'mon C..." The answering machine picked. She rolled her eyes but left a message. "Angel, it's really important that you get a hold of me. It's an emergency. I can't explain it over the phone, but as soon as you can, get your butt up here. `kay? Gotta go. Bye."

She turned back toward the guard. "Please, can I have one more call. I've never used my calls before." Faith gave the guard a seductive smile. "C'mon, pleasseee..."

"Yeah okay, Faith. Don't tell anyone though." He reached over and began to dial the other number for her.

*****

"I'll get it." Willow called out as she ran into the kitchen. "Hello."

"Red, listen. Don't hang up! Please, don't hang up!"

"Why shouldn't I?! Faith, you really are something else!" The witch's eyes flashed.

"Red, I don't have time for this. Buffy needs help." Faith pleaded, knowing the witch was essential to undoing whatever spell Buffy was still under.

"IS THIS A SICK JOKE!" Willow's eyes went black. Glasses in the sink shattered, and plates slid off the table as the witch struggled to control her temper. "Faith, I don't know what kind of game you're playing. Buffy's dead and you know it! So if you think.."

Faith interrupted. "She's back. I swear it. She's here with me. But Red, she needs our help."

"Faith, if you ever call here again you'll be sorry. I'm a very powerful witch, and you're already on my list. I'm warning you!" The red head cursed and slammed down the phone.

"Wait!" Faith shouted, but it was too late. Willow had hung up.

"Back to your cell, Faith." The guard held open the door for her.

*****

"Honey, what are you doing?" Tara smiled as she came into the living room, but stopped short when she found her girlfriend sitting on the couch crying. "What is it, sweetie?" She sat next to her and pulled the little red head into her arms.

"Faith! That's what!" Willow sobbed some more. "She called here."

"Why?" The blonde witch tilted her girlfriend's face up. "Tell me what happened?"

"She said Buffy needed our help." Willow covered her face. "Oh god Tara, I can't stand it. Even a loon like Faith knows that we had failed Buffy."

Tara stared at her in shock. "She... she said what?"

Willow glanced up at the blonde's pale face. "Tara, you don't think...?"

The question went unanswered as Tara stood quickly. Spike was standing in the hall. The vampire stepped forward with purpose as he asked. "Well, don't you think somebody better bloody find out?!"

*****

Faith rounded the corner in time to hear the shouts and jeers. She took in the scene quickly. The guard, William was knocked out on the floor, and Martha had been cornered. *NO! B!*

The slayer raced past the crowd and into the rec room. Buffy was backing away from several of the inmates who where looking for revenge. Another guard, who had obviously been paid off, rushed Faith, catching her unaware.

The taser gun stunned the brunette and she fell to her knees. "B! NO!" She cried out as she reached toward Buffy with her hand. *They're gonna hurt my B!* The dark slayer could feel the tears stinging her eyes as she watched.

The inmates circled Buffy like wild animals. Her eyes were wide and frightened. *What do they want?!* She panicked and turned to run, but a few prisoners had gotten behind her.

"Where's your protector now, Kathryn?!" The woman grinned evilly before raising her fist. She struck Buffy hard in the mouth, causing the little blonde to grunt in pain and fall to her hands and knees.

Buffy slowly peered up at her attacker. "C'mon princess, show us what ya got?!" The big butch taunted mercilessly. She lifted her foot preparing to kick Buffy in the face.

Faith stumbled to her feet, trying to push past the crowd. "B!" She shouted as Buffy grabbed the woman's foot and flipped her. The little slayer bounced to her feet, holding up her fists.

"You little bitch!" Another raced toward her, but the blonde merely stepped aside and stuck out her foot, tripping her next would be attacker.

Some of the inmates moved away when they saw Faith coming forward. A few were too juiced up though, and charged the little slayer. Buffy spun around, punching one and tossing her then ducking the swing of another before sending her sailing with a spinning kick.

Faith grinned. "That's it, B. It's just like ridin' a horse."

Buffy glared as she sprung again, kicking another woman clear across the room. The women started backing away from her. Faith raced over and pulled the shaking little slayer into her arms. "It's okay, B. I'm here now. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you. I won't do it again. I promise." She led the tiny beauty back to their cell.

*****

"Come on, whelp. Can't you dig faster?!" Spike scowled as he glanced over his shoulder.

"Strangely, no." Xander snapped while pausing to take a breath. "Digging up graves isn't exactly my specialty."

"Guys, please. No fighting. We have to get this over with." Willow stood to the side with Anya and Tara, watching the two as they dug up Buffy's grave. The whole situation was disturbing to all of them, but it was the only way they felt they could be certain that Faith wasn't playing some kind of trick.

The vampire hit something with his shovel. "Here! Here it is!" He called out excitedly as he leaned down and began brushing the dirt away with his hands. "Get me the crowbar!"

Xander climbed out of the grave. Returning with the crowbar, he turned to the witches. "Wil, are we sure about this?"

"We have to. We have to know." The red head responded, resolute. He nodded and tossed the vampire the tool.

"Okay kiddies, step back. This isn't going to be pretty." Spike choked back a sob as he tore open her coffin. He couldn't believe that he was here desecrating the grave of the only woman he could ever love. Falling back, Spike shouted. "BLOODY `ELL!"

PART 23 - Is It Really You?

The scoobies rushed forward and peered over the vampire's shoulder. What they saw made them gasp. Buffy's coffin was devoid of a body. Instead several boulders lined the inside of the casket. Spike jumped from the grave, grinning. "She's alive! The slayer's alive!"

"Spike, we don't know that!" Willow tried to temper their excitement. She still didn't trust Faith. "All we really know is that Buffy's body has been stolen, and that's nothing to celebrate."

Despair replaced jubilation as the scoobies glanced around at each other.

"What's next?" Xander asked.

"We go visit this other slayer!" Spike shouted angrily. "She better bloody well hope that Buffy's with her, or I'll break that bitch's neck myself!" He stomped off, leaving the others to ponder the implications of Faith's involvement.

*****

"Are you warm enough now?" Faith asked as she put a sweater on the little blonde and kissed her.

Buffy looked at her fellow slayer then sat in the chair. She was waiting for Faith to brush out her hair like she always did before dinner. The dark slayer smiled as she picked up the hairbrush and gently worked through Buffy's golden locks.

"You know B, I called Angel and left a message. Somebody should be coming soon for you." Faith decided not to mention her phone call with Willow. There didn't seem to be a point.

Buffy peered up at Faith. *I'm hungry.*

The brunette studied her expression for a moment. "Do you want something? Are you hungry, B?"

The little slayer nodded her head.

"It's okay, B. It's almost dinner time." She smoothed back her hair.

"Faith." Maxie leaned in the cell. "You have visitors."

"Who?" The brunette edged over to Buffy and took her hand.

"I don't know... a bunch of kids, I think."

Buffy's face lit up.

"See, they're here." Faith guided Buffy along with her.

"They didn't ask to see Kathryn." Maxie narrowed her eyes.

"Yeah, but they'll want to. Trust me. Besides, I don't want to leave her alone again." Faith gave Maxie a pleading look.

"Yeah, okay Faith. But don't tell anyone that I let you drag your girlfriend everywhere." The guard smiled as she gestured for them to proceed.

*****

Spike, Willow, and Tara awaited Faith's arrival while Xander and Anya remained back in Sunnydale with Dawn.

The blonde vampire cursed as he paced. "I swear if this crazy bint tricked us..."

"Spike, please." Tara was having a difficult enough time keeping Willow calm. She didn't need the added stress of Spike's emotional outbursts.

The door to the visiting room opened. All three turned and peered through the glass. The beautiful brunette slayer entered. She was holding another girl's hand, pulling her along behind her.

Smiling at them, Faith gently guided her little companion in front of the glass. "Say hi to them... Please B, talk to them at least."

Spike's jaw dropped, and Willow broke down into tears. "Buffy! Oh my god, Buffy!" She reached out, wishing desperately to hug the slayer. There was nothing as frustrating as Faith being able to touch Buffy, and she couldn't. *Faith doesn't deserve her.* Willow squeezed her girlfriend's hand.

Tara asked first. "When? How?"

"I don't know how. I just know that she's been here for a little over a week. Look, you've gotta do something. She won't talk or she can't. I don't know which." The brunette sat Buffy down and handed her the candy she had brought. She hoped they didn't miss dinner. She could tell the little slayer was hungry.

Buffy smiled and immediately unwrapped her candy bar. She glanced back up at the visitors. *Willow! Spike! Tara! My buds!* She felt happy. She had candy, and her friends were here. The little slayer grinned as she nibbled the chocolate bar.

The scoobies stared at their slayer in shock. Faith played with Buffy's hair as she spoke. "Isn't it great?! She's really back. I keep thinking it's a wonderful dream, and that I'll wake up and she'll be gone. But Red, she's really here." There were tears in the dark slayer's eyes. She wiped at them, embarrassed. "Um... anyway, we need your help."

Willow finally got her wits about her. "We'll contact Giles. He's in England, so it will take him a day or two. What else can you tell us?"

Spike sat, touching the glass in front of Buffy, staring in complete amazement. "Buffy... slayer, is it really you?"

The little blonde tilted her head, studying them for a moment before reaching for Faith.

"Shhh... it's okay, B. We'll go to dinner in a second." The dark slayer comforted her then explained. "She's hungry. We should go. All I can tell you now is that it has something to do with those bastard lawyers, Wolfram and Hart. Get in touch with Angel. I'll be protecting her in here, don't worry." Faith let the small slayer take her hand and tug her toward the door.

Maxie came in. "Faith, that's all the time I can give you. Let's go."

Willow called after the departing slayers. "Faith, we'll be back next week."

Spike remained frozen, staring after them still dazed but elated.

PART 24 - Helping Buffy

"It was her, wasn't it?" Spike stared up at the witches, stupefied.

Willow reached down and grabbed the vampire's hand, pulling him to his feet. "Yes, it's her. C'mon, we have a lot to do."

*****

Faith filled up Buffy's tray and her own, carrying them both back to the table where the little slayer waited with Martha.

Her eyes lit up when she saw all the food. Snatching the tray, the tiny blonde dug in with zeal. Faith smiled indulgently as Buffy reached across and began taking food off of her tray too.

Martha watched the two, amazed by Faith's new docile and caring attitude. She had been close to the slayer since Faith first arrived, but she had never seen the girl behave like this. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that her instincts were right; Faith was ultimately good at heart.

*****

"Angel, I have some news for you. You may want to be sitting for this. It's pretty big." Willow took a breath.

"Buffy's alive."

"Uh.. yeah, that's it. How'd you know?" The witch sat down heavily, glancing over at her girlfriend who shrugged.

"Cordelia had a vision. Look Willow, she needs our help." Angel's voice betrayed his anxiety.

"Yeah, I know. Faith told us... Angel, we saw her. She's in prison right now with Faith."

The vampire mumbled to himself. "That's what Faith's call was about."

"What?"

"Nothing. What was Faith able to tell you?" Angel grabbed up a pen and paper.

"Not much. Just that Wolfram and Hart had something to do with it." Willow tensed as she heard the vampire curse.

"Okay, we're going to start research here. I'll be going to see Faith tomorrow night." He glanced back at Wesley and Gunn.

"Angel, Faith's not allowed visitors again for a week." The witch informed him.

"No, it's okay. I know someone who can get me in there. Just make sure to get a hold of Giles. Tell him to start his research with the revivification ritual. I'll be in touch."

"Wait! Angel, Buffy's trapped in there with Faith! We have to do something more!" Willow clutched the phone tightly.

"Don't worry. She won't hurt her, Willow. When I told her that Buffy was dead, it nearly killed her. She should be in slayer mode, fully intending to protect Buffy."

"I hope you're right. Thanks Angel." Willow hung up and turned toward the scoobies. "Angel believes Faith will protect her."

"Are you insane?! This is Faith we're talking about! Has everyone forgotten?! Psycho girl here!" Xander flared, turning toward Spike. "I know you're with me here, dead boy. We have to get Buffy out of there and pronto!"

"Wait a minute, Xander. Faith said Buffy's been there for over a week. She hasn't hurt her yet, and there's no reason to believe that she would. After all, Faith did call us. If she wanted to harm Buffy, why would she call Buffy's friends." Tara reasoned.

"Because she's a sadist!" Xander exploded, waving his hands. "Look I don't know what game Faith is playing. But I don't trust her!"

"Neither do I." Willow chimed in, glancing apologetically at her girlfriend.

"Well, I hate to burst your bubble, kiddies, but that just may be the safest place for Buffy right now." Spike finally weighed in. "Considering who ever did this, must be on the outside. I'm guessing it's their plan that we bust her out for them." He stood up and began pacing as he thought about it. "Makes sense, it'd save them a lot of work... an' they know Faith won't let Buffy go anywhere without her. The nutjob's obviously in love with Buffy... seeing the way she was dotin' on her and all." The vampire scowled, clearly jealous.

"That doesn't make any sense. Buffy will just kick their asses, once she's free." Xander was confused like the rest of them.

"No, you don't get it, you poof! Buffy won't be able to kick their asses! She's under a spell of some sort. She can't even talk." The bleach blonde vampire suddenly stopped in his tracks. "That's it! They'll use Buffy to bring them Faith, and once they have the slayers..." He left his sentence unfinished as he glanced back at the witches.

"Let's get to work!" Willow commanded, opening her laptop.

*****

Faith placed Buffy on the top bunk and pulled the covers gently over her. "Goodnight B." She got in the lower bunk and lay there contemplating her decision. She had no intent of staying here once Buffy was out.

Faith felt that she had to stay with the little slayer... to protect her. Buffy was her responsibility now. Her prayers had been answered and the little slayer was back; Faith had to keep up her end of the bargain and protect Buffy with her life. If she could do the right thing with Buffy this time... then she could feel okay about herself again.

Buffy was quietly clutching the blanket, frightened that the bad dreams would return. She peered over the side at Faith. The brunette already seemed to be asleep. Climbing down, the little slayer crawled in next to the taller girl. She sighed as Faith's arms went around her. *Faith will protect me. Faith loves me.* Buffy smiled as she drifted off to sleep.

PART 25 - A Way to Start the Day

When Faith awoke, it was to find Buffy sharing the bottom bunk with her. Her body was covered with little blonde slayer. Faith grinned as she glanced down at the small girl. "B. Hey, B." She gently rolled Buffy off and gazed at her. "I still can't believe you're really here." The brunette whispered caressing her cheek. "Buffy."

Buffy's eyelashes fluttered, and she groaned, muttering. "Nemo hic adest illius nominis."

"What the hell?! B, wake up!" Faith shook the little blonde in panic.

Her eyes popped open. The brunette gasped as she looked at Buffy's normally sea-green eyes; they went black as Buffy repeated the phrase. "Nemo hic adest illius nominis."

"Oh shit!" Faith sat up and pulled Buffy out of bed with her. "Listen, you thing! I don't know who or what you are! But you better get out of Buffy's body right now!" Faith shook her angrily.

"Ad extremum!" The blonde tilted her head back and laughed.

"YOU BITCH!" Faith slapped her hard sending the little slayer reeling. When Buffy peered up she had tears in her eyes. "Oh fuck! B, I'm sorry!" She lifted the small blonde into her arms and began kissing her. "I love you. I didn't mean to hurt you. Forgive me, B."

Buffy tilted her head and opened her mouth allowing Faith's tongue to slide in. It felt soft and warm.... delicious. She whimpered as the kiss deepened.

Faith muttered over and over again. "I love you."

The blonde fell back on the bed, pulling Faith down with her. *Oh god, this feels good!* Her hands tangled in Faith's raven locks as she held the younger girl tightly to her. *More! I want more of this!* She tugged at Faith's shirt, getting the slayer to lift her arms.

"Okay B, take it easy." Faith looked into Buffy's eyes to make sure it was her. She smiled at the passion that was reflected back. "Damn, I've wanted this for so long."

Pinning the small slayer to the bed, Faith raised up and began removing Buffy's pajamas. "I've always loved you, B. From the first moment I laid eyes on you." She reverently reached out, her fingers delicately moving over Buffy's stiff nipples.

"Do you want this too? Do you want what I want?... Do you want my mouth on you?... licking you... kissing you... tasting you?... Swallowing all that you have to give?... That's right B. I want you to cum all over my face and in my mouth." Faith growled as she grasped Buffy's wrists and shoved her back, climbing over her. "Use me... Keep me."

Buffy gave her a cute grin, her eyes sparkling. *Yes, I think I would like you to go down on me.*

*****

"What do we know?" Giles removed his glasses and began cleaning them.

"Not a whole lot." Xander stated as he set the ex-watcher's suitcases down. They had just arrived from the airport. Giles had managed to immediately catch a flight. He now stood in the Magic Box facing a very confused Scooby gang.

"I don't understand. How did they do it?" Anya peered over at Giles as Willow came down from upstairs carrying a book.

"It's a revivification ritual. At least that's what Angel believes. He's going to see Buffy and Faith tonight." The red head set the book on the table in front of Tara. "Giles, she looks perfect... perfectly Buffy." Willow became wistful as she thought about the visit. "She didn't speak, not a word. She just looked at us and smiled."

"And ate that damn chocolate bar like it was going out of style. You know, I don't recall the Slayer being such a fiend for food." Spike glanced over at the witches. "Yep, she was all around strange, wasn't she?"

"Well, we'll see what we can find out." Giles peered up at Willow. "Have you hacked into the prison records yet to get information on this Miss Merteuil?"

"Yes." Tara chimed in and walked over, handing him a piece of paper. "She lives in New York."

"Right then." He turned toward Spike. "Fancy a trip to New York?"

*****

Faith leaned close, breathing Buffy in. Her scent was delicious. Pressing her lips lightly along the inside of the little slayer's thighs, Faith slowly worked her way to the prize.

Buffy moaned and arched up as Faith's mouth covered her, kissing and licking her pussy. *YESSSS! SO GOOD!*

The sticky fluid filled Faith's mouth as she eagerly swallowed up all she could. Buffy's wetness ran down her chin as she buried her tongue further into the little slayer's slit. *Oh fuck me! This is B! I'm actually going down on Buffy!... I'm licking her pussy... and it's fuckin' amazing!.... God B, I love you!* Faith's hands reached up and loving caressed her.

She was still in awe that this was actually happening. That she was tasting the girl she had wanted for so long.... so long, that she couldn't even remember wanting anything else before her. Everything started from the moment she laid eyes on Buffy.

The little blonde moaned and gripped Faith to her, rubbing against her lips, needing release. She could feel her clitoris throb with each flick of Faith's tongue. *Holy crap!* Buffy went still and held tight as the orgasm bubbled over her. It was exhilarating. She began giggling uncontrollably and gazed down with a dazzling smile. *I love you too.*

The morning buzzer sounded. Faith slowly lifted her head and smiled up at Buffy. They grinned at each other for a moment before Faith jumped up and reached down for Buffy. "C'mon gorgeous, time to start the day."

PART 26 - Places To Go, People To See

"Faith, you have visitors." William stood outside their cell.

The brunette hopped down from her bunk, and lifted Buffy down too. "C'mon B, it's probably Angel."

*****

"So you think it's safe to leave Buffy in here with Faith?" Wesley asked glancing between Angel and Cordelia.

"Yes, she called us, didn't she?! Besides, Cordy's vision showed them both in danger." Angel retorted impatiently. "Now let's be supportive when Faith comes in."

They didn't have long to wait before the two slayers were ushered in. Faith led Buffy to a chair. The little slayer sat down and smiled up at her visitors. *Angel! Cordy! Hi. Good to see you. Oh and Wesley too. Hi.*

Cordelia looked at Buffy then turned to Faith, "What's wrong with her?"

"I don't know she hasn't spoken since... since the incident." Faith explained.

"What incident? Faith, what happened?" Angel sat down in front of the glass partition, staring at Buffy.

"When she got here, she wasn't Buffy. What I mean is, she didn't know she was Buffy. She thought she was this Kathryn person, and so did I until... until she died."

"Wait. What?! Slow down here, Faith. Buffy died again?" Angel put his hand up to the glass waiting for Buffy to put her hand up too. The little slayer glanced at the vampire and smiled, but she reached for Faith's hand. Angel blinked back his surprise. "Buffy?"

*****

Spike stood outside the townhouse waiting for Kathryn Merteuil. He had been watching the place since the sunset. *Hope this stupid bint goes somewhere soon.* The vampire leaned back and lit a cigarette.

He wondered if he'd even know her when he saw her. The most he had to go on was that the girl somehow resembled the slayer, at least that's what the watcher guessed. It would explain how Buffy was able to switch places with this girl and go to prison in her place. A perfect set up for those bastard lawyers to get to Faith.

Spike snorted angrily as he rested against the tree and thought about his little Buffy, locked up in prison and under some evil spell. His eyes shone yellow as he slipped into vamp face, and peered through the dark.

Someone was leaving the house, a girl. Spike made his way over to the limousine. He watched as the car door was held open for the young woman. *That has to be her.* He couldn't make out her features; a servant was walking next to her carrying an umbrella, but her build was similar to the slayer's.

Suddenly, it occurred to the vampire. *It's raining?* Spike glanced up. *Yep, sure is.* He chuckled softly at himself. He was so absorbed in watching the house and thinking about Buffy that he hadn't even noticed.

Slipping silently past the gates, the vampire made his way to the limousine. He waited for the car to begin moving then he grabbed the door handle. In one fluid movement he was inside the vehicle, smiling at the stunned passenger.

His vamp face receded, and he gave the girl a boyish grin, "Kathryn, I presume."

She tilted her chin up and glared. "And who the hell are you?!"

"Buffy?" Spike gasped when he saw her face.

"Freak!" The green-eyed beauty took a swing at him.

"Guess not." The vampire muttered to himself as he caught her wrists. "None of that, luv. We have some things to discuss so jus' settle down."

*****

"So that's about all I can tell you." Faith finished, leaning back and taking in the trio's shocked expressions. "Do you guys have any clues about this or what they're up to?"

Angel shook his head. "No. Cordy, tell Faith what you saw."

Cordelia took a breath and began. "You and Buffy working for Wolfram and Hart. It was awful; you were both like... like zombies." The brunette shuddered before continuing. "Faith, listen to me. You can't leave here! Whatever happens, you have to stay here until we can break the spell that Buffy's under. Do you understand? Please, promise that much."

Faith caught the look of desperation in the seer's eyes. "Okay. I promise."

Cordelia relaxed a bit as Wesley stepped forward. "You've told us enough to get started. Thank you, Faith. It's been a great help. Now you two, just hang in there."

The dark slayer nodded as the visiting room door opened. "Time's up Faith. Let's go." The guard ushered the two inmates out. Buffy turned back and waved.

The group frowned as they took in her apparently oblivious demeanor. *Something was seriously off about Buffy, and they needed to find out what... and quick. Angel sensed that time was a factor here. He turned toward the others. "Wesley, take Cordy home. I have a little visit to pay Lilah."

PART 27 - Change of Plans

Faith led Buffy back to their cell. She lifted the little slayer up and placed her on the top bunk, giving her a quick kiss. "I'll be right back."

The blonde watched her fellow slayer slip out of the cell. She laid back and stared at the ceiling. Everything was so confusing. She had no idea how she ended up in prison. She vaguely recalled someone named Sebastian getting hurt. But Buffy was certain she didn't know anyone named Sebastian back in Sunnydale.

As she struggled with her failing memory, Faith reappeared wearing a bright smile. "B, I have something for you." The brunette suddenly held up an ice cream sandwich which she carefully unwrapped. "Here you go."

*Yum!* Buffy excitedly reached for it, smiling warmly at Faith.

*****

Kathryn carefully took in her blonde companion. He was devilishly handsome and had a marvelous accent. Kathryn definitely liked his look; he was the quintessential bad boy. She gave him a nasty grin. "What do you want?!"

"You... I guess. I've been sent to fetch you, and I'm not taking no for an answer." Spike reached in his pocket for a cigarette.

A cold expression settled on her beautiful Buffylike face. "Really?" Her tone was almost bored, not what he expected. She must know more than she's letting on.

"You know who Buffy is, don't you?"

"What if I do? What are you going to do about it?" Kathryn snickered and took out her cigarette case. Spike arched an eyebrow as the tiny brunette then removed a cigarette holder from her handbag.

"A bit much, wouldn't you say?" He gestured at her smoking accessories.

"If I'm going to smoke I might as well do it like a lady. No need to behave like common trash." Kathryn leaned forward so he could light her cigarette. Spike smiled, intrigued. "So do tell, did Devon Randall send you?"

"No. I'm here to help Buffy, not those bastard lawyers!" The vampire growled.

"Hmm.. I see." Kathryn grinned at him and leaned back. "And why should I care?"

"Because if we can't help Buffy, I'll break your little neck." Spike's face changed, but to little effect. The brunette had obviously seen vampires before.

She eyed him carefully. *He could be useful.* Kathryn gave him a sly smile. "Perhaps if you do something for me..."

"Lights out!" The guards' voices could be heard echoing down the hall. Buffy went to the shelf and retrieved her pajamas as Faith rushed in.

"Hey B. See, I told ya I'd make it back in time." The brunette grinned at her before quickly changing and jumping up into the top bunk. "Goodnight B."

Buffy stood by the side of the bunk beds. She reached up and poked Faith.

"What? What is it?" The dark slayer peered over the side. She smiled as the little blonde held out her arms. Buffy wanted to be lifted up. "You wanna sleep up here with me?"

The slayer nodded and waited patiently for Faith to scoop her up. Buffy giggled as the brunette playfully tickled her. "You're so cute right now, B. Jus' like a little kid, but I'd really like it if you'd talk to me... hmmm? Could you do that, B? Please.."

The little blonde stared at her sadly before rolling over to face the other way.

"Lilah, could you come into my office please. I have something to show you." Devon leaned into the meeting room with a smile.

"Be right there." Lilah excused herself politely, leaving her demon client to wait and entered Devon's office. "I don't appreciate being interrupted. What is it?"

"Oh, I am terribly sorry, but I thought you should see this right away." The shady lawyer smirked as he popped a tape into the VCR. "It's last night's security tape. It appears that you had a visitor."

Lilah paled considerably as she recognized Angel entering her office. "Damn!" She cursed under her breath and stormed out. Devon sat at his desk smiling.

As soon as Lilah got back to her office, she picked up the phone to call the senior partners. "Yes, it's me. There's been a change of plans. I'm getting the slayers out of prison immediately if I have your permission."

PART 28 - Free

Sitting in the gym, sucking her popsicle Buffy happily watched Faith. The dark slayer had just finished working out and now was just showing off. The tiny blonde smiled proudly as Faith launched into another series of backhand springs and flips. Buffy clapped and waved. The brunette grinned back at her as she picked up a towel to wipe her hands off.

"Faith." Ruth came in with her friend. "Hey, are you going to show us some new tricks?" The ex-cheerleader asked suggestively.

Faith quickly glanced back at Buffy. She noticed a little scowl settling on the small slayer's pretty features. "Uh... No. Sorry. Can't." Brushing past the girls, Faith went to sit down next to Buffy. "Hey there, B. I see Martha got you another popsicle." She bent and kissed the little slayer.

Buffy rewarded her with a dazzling smile, holding out the popsicle for Faith to take a lick. "Thanks." Faith took a bite and smirked at the blonde's frown.

*You were just supposed to take a lick.* Buffy furrowed her brow and began to pout. Their playfulness was interrupted by the sound of William's voice.

"Faith, Kathryn back to your cell."

The younger slayer hopped down and reached for her counterpart. "C'mon B." She leaned close and whispered. "I'll get you another popsicle later. `kay?" Giving her a quick peck on the cheek Faith grabbed her hand and pulled her along toward their cell.

"What's this about?" Faith suddenly became concerned when she noticed the warden and Maxie standing in their cell.

"Gather your stuff. You're being released." Maxie announced, happy for the two girls.

"That's impossible. I'm here for murder." Faith shouted in panic. She had promised Cordelia that she wouldn't leave. *Shit!... Cordy's vision!*

"Not anymore." The warden stepped forward and placed a hand on Buffy's shoulder. "I'm going to miss our teas together, Miss Merteuil." He leered at the small slayer before nodding toward Faith. "Gather Kathryn's things for her as well. She's leaving too."

"We can't. This isn't suppose to happen. You've been tricked." Faith stepped in front of Buffy protectively. "Neither one of us is going anywhere. We're not supposed to be released."

"Yes, you are. Your lawyers have been appealing your cases for quite some time. It appears that you have suddenly stumbled upon some luck, Faith." The warden eyed her cautiously as he continued. "Now get your stuff together. You can't stay here."

*****

Faith held Buffy's hand as they stood outside the prison gates in the cold. "B, it's gonna be okay. We just have to get to Angel's."

The brunette took off her jacket and wrapped it around Buffy's petite frame. "That should keep you warm enough. Are you hungry? I have a little bit of money. We can get you something to eat."

Faith hugged Buffy gently as the little blonde smiled and nodded. *Damn, B is so cute!* The dark slayer laid one more kiss on her then they began the long walk toward the highway.

*****

The phone rang in the limo. Lilah reached past Devon to answer it. She hung up with a satisfied smirk before turning to Devon. "They've been released. Let's go."

PART 29 - One Slayer To Go

As soon as the slayers made it to the freeway's on ramp, the limousine pulled up next to them. Faith tugged Buffy behind her and waited, expecting a fight.

The door opened and Lilah leaned out. "Hello ladies. Care for a lift?"

The little blonde walked calmly toward the vehicle. "B, what are you doing?! Get back here!" Faith ordered her, baffled by Buffy's actions. "Please B, you can't go with them. She's with those bastard lawyers, Wolfram and Hart. B!"

Buffy climbed in the limo as Faith rushed over. Smiling up at her, the little blonde held out her hand.

"Faith, she's made her choice. Now make yours." Lilah raised an eyebrow, not yet certain if she would be completely successful.

The brunette looked from Buffy's smiling face and outstretched hand to the lawyers who were gazing at her with a predatory look. "Fuck!" The dark slayer cursed as she climbed into the vehicle next to Buffy.

*****

"What do you mean they've both been released?!" Cordelia shrieked as she listened to Willow explain.

The little witch had called early that morning asking to speak with Faith, only to be informed that she and Kathryn had both been released.

"It's impossible! Faith promised me that she wouldn't leave the prison until we helped Buffy." The seer held the phone away as Angel entered the room.

"Cordy, it's likely they didn't have a choice. Released is well... released. What was Faith supposed to do?" Willow shook her head. She knew that she should have followed her hunch and at least gotten Buffy out of there. "Hopefully, they're on their way over to see you guys."

*****

Faith paced around their room in frustration. There were no locks, no tight security, nothing holding them there. Buffy just simply wouldn't leave with her. The younger slayer even went so far as to try and knock her out and take her forcibly, but this morning it was Faith who had woke up with the splitting headache and black eye.

She couldn't take Buffy before, so it really didn't surprise her that she couldn't best the tiny slayer now. Glancing back at the blonde, Faith sat down heavily on the bed. Buffy was still asleep. She could hit her in her sleep. The brunette leaned close and looked at the beautiful slayer, lifting her hand to strike her.

Buffy rolled over, mumbling. She looked so cute. Faith kissed her instead. *I'll try to reason with her one more time first.*

Gently shaking the small slayer, Faith perched over her. "B, wake up. C'mon, we have to go see Angel."

Big green eyes just stared up at her. Faith tried again. "Okay, we could just go straight to Sunnydale. Everyone really misses you... Dawn, and Red... and Giles came back from England. Please, B. Leave with me.... I love you."

*I love you too. But we can't go.* Buffy smiled and pulled Faith into her arms.

*****

"How soon before we can perform the spell on the other slayer?"

Lilah leaned toward her witch who whispered in her ear. Anxiously, she peered back at the senior partners. They wouldn't care for her answer. "Not until the full moon, tomorrow night."

"I sincerely hope your control over Buffy is enough to hold them. It certainly doesn't seem like you've thought this all out, Lilah." Devon clucked his tongue, glancing around at the tense faces in the meeting room.

Lilah responded through clenched teeth. "It's holding them now, isn't it?!" But she new her adversary was right, her hold on the slayers at present was tenuous at best.

*****

"We have to get to them before the next ritual is performed! At present, Buffy is not herself and may be quite dangerous, but if this spell is performed on Faith there's no telling what evil it may unleash!" Giles tossed down his book and turned to Willow. "Get Tara. We must try a locator spell."

PART 30 - Raptus Regaliter

Spike opened his crypt door and stepped to the side. "Ladies first."

Kathryn eyed him suspiciously as she entered. "You live here?"

"Yeah, what of it?! I'm a vampire, ya know." He picked up her bags and carried them in.

"But still.." She glanced around with a look of distaste.

"You can take the bed." He headed downstairs with her luggage.

"Oh please! Gimme a break! You can sleep in the bed too. We're all adults here, aren't we?!" Kathryn rolled her eyes as she plopped down on a chair. "Do you have anything to drink?"

Spike grinned as he took in the beautiful but naughty Buffy look alike. *This might be fun.*

*****

Faith laid in the bed allowing the little slayer to hold her, but she knew what she had to do. She had to leave... without Buffy. As she started to get up, Buffy pulled her back into the bed.

"B, whatcha doing?! Cut it out!" Faith shoved at her, but the little blonde easily flipped her onto her back.

Buffy stared down at the former bad girl with an intensity that was frightening. Faith struggled suddenly nervous. This wasn't her Buffy. Someone else was in there too. The brunette panicked and pushed at the tiny slayer with all her might. "B, let me go!"

"Nullo modo." [No way!] Buffy smiled cruelly, bending close and biting Faith's bottom lip.

"You bitch! Whoever you are in there, I'll kill you!" Faith shouted as she tried to buck Buffy off.

"Tutene? Adque cuius exercitus?" [You and whose army?] The little slayer laughed delighted by her attractive captive. She would have great fun today. Soon the ritual would be performed and Faith would no longer fight. She would miss that. But still, at least Faith would be hers... forever.

"B, I know you're in there somewhere... please." Faith could feel the tears run down her cheeks. *Damn! Shoulda knocked her out when I had the chance!*

Buffy's eyes gleamed. Faith gasped as the beautiful green orbs darkened and became black. Buffy chuckled as she caressed Faith's cheek. "Quid me appellavisti?" [What did you call me?]

"B... I love you. Let me help you, please." Faith struggled some more.

"Nemo hic adest illius nominis!... pro tempore." [There's no one here by that name.... for the time being.] The blonde reached down and tore Faith's shirt open. She smiled at the shock she saw in the younger slayer's eyes.

"Don't make me hurt you! Get off of me!" Faith screamed out, enraged that she couldn't fight the demon,... because the demon was Buffy.

"Ita vero, esne comoedus?" [A comedian, huh?] The pretty blonde leaned close. She whispered in a husky tone. "Fac imitare." [Get real.]

Faith held her breath as Buffy reached down and undid her pants. *This isn't B!... This isn't B!*

"Usus est magister optimus." [Practice makes perfect.] With that she tied Faith's wrists above her head then lifted herself enough to pull down Faith's pants. She slid her fingers roughly into the younger girl.

Faith turned her head to the side and cried as Buffy raped her. She hated herself because some part her still enjoyed it. Every time she opened her eyes it was Buffy's beautiful face above her. The dark slayer cringed as felt herself getting wet. Each thrust became more pleasurable. Faith bit back a moan.

The little blonde grinned, well pleased. She could tell Faith was enjoying it. The younger girl was such a whore for her. She laughed as she bent her head, biting Faith's nipple.

"Oh fuck!" Faith arched up, gasping as wave after wave of pleasure washed over her. "Buffy!... I love you..."

The little blonde smiled cruelly while the younger slayer came. Sitting up quickly, she slapped Faith hard. "Visne illud iterare?" [You want to repeat that?]

"B? Wha... what are you doing? Why?"

Buffy slapped her again, grinning. "Diabolus fecit, ut id facerem!" [The devil made me do it!]

Faith twisted free and brought both her hands up, surprising the little slayer. She hit Buffy square in the jaw, sending the tiny blonde sailing off of the bed. Faith struggled to her feet and bolted toward the door. She was halfway down the hall before she managed to pull her pants up. Glancing back fearfully, she caught sight of a very angry Buffy coming toward her. Faith looked around and chose her only option. She dove out the window.

Buffy stopped in her tracks, shouting out. "Noli me vocare, ego te vocabo!" [Don't call me, I'll call you.] She laughed as she headed back to their room.

*****

Faith stumbled into the hotel crying. "Angel! Angel!"

"Oh my god, Faith! What happened?! Where's Buffy?!" Cordelia rushed to her side, catching the slayer as she fell forward.

The rest of the scoobies, and the two watchers looked on in horror. Faith was badly beaten and her clothes were ripped to shreds. She had obviously been assaulted.

Angel asked angrily. "Did Buffy do this?!"

"No! It's not her! It's someone else... a demon, I think. I had to leave her there." Faith began to sob as Cordelia wrapped a blanket around her. She peered up at the group guiltily. "She wouldn't come with me... so I left her... I promised B, I would never let anything happen to her and something has." The brunette broke down. Willow and Tara tried to comfort her while the others headed into Angel's office.

"Has Spike found this Kathryn girl yet? She should be able to provide us with some information." Angel paced while Giles telephoned Sunnydale.

He looked at the vampire sympathetically. "Xander and Anya are waiting for Spike. They should have news. Let's all try and be calm. At least we have Faith safe with us."

"Yeah, I know. But Buffy..." Angel left the sentence hanging as he turned away from the group.
