A Place In The World

Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: Sadly I don't own these charecters Joss
does even though I toyed with them for a bit.
Spoilers: Nothing really mostly AU here.
Notes: This is my first Buffy/Faith fic and pretty
much my first big Btvs fic. Didn't have a beta so
excuse the mistakes. Btw, Joyce is still dead and
Giles is in England. My first time posting and not
lurking as well so bare with me.
This is kinda AU. Faith isn't a slayer and
never came to Sunnydale until now. She's a thief, but
there's more to it than that. If you seen Jay and
Silent Bob Strike Back I kinda meshed Eliza's
character Sissy from there with our lovely Faith. She
comes to Sunnydale to steal an artifact but she's in
for a lot more than planned.
Feedback: Pretty please? I beg thee.
CHAPTER ONE
Faith stepped off of the bus and glanced around at her new surroundings. The small town atmosphere nearly gave her the wiggins. It was a warm day and the sun was just beginning to fade into the horizon. Sunnydale hmm this is so going to be a piece of cake she thought to herself. With that she grabbed her bags and hailed a taxi.
Once she was inside of her motel room she began to unpack her belongings. She pulled out a full body latex suit and hung it up in the back of the closet, along with the rest of her ordinary clothing. She opened a metal suitcase which held several small guns, and a slew of other modern gadgets. She grabbed the pocket sized pistol and locked the case back, sliding it underneath the bed. She sat down in a chair and pulled out the newspaper article she seen in Los Angeles. So the Sunnydale Museum just got in The Cross of Maleka. When Faith had first read the article she was more than intrigued. It seems this cross dates back several hundred years, and is worth millions of dollars. That is why she was here. If she could get that cross then she could live a life of luxury. Just one last job, and she could retire, be done with this line of work.
She wasn't used to working alone, but her crew was in prison all because that bitch Justice turned on them for a damn guy, a stupid guy at that. She had escaped jail though before they could transport her to prison. She was better off without the rest of them though, they just held back her true abilities, plus she wouldn't have to cut them a share of the profit. The diamond heist they pulled off was nothing compared to this. This was the big one baby. This was the one that was going to make her filthy fucking rich.
Buffy entered the Bronze and smiled as her friends waved her over to their usual table in the corner. Xander, Anya, Willow, and Tara were all seated when she got there and sat down herself. They were all so happy, and so couple like. She felt a twinge of jealousy at how good both couples were for each other. She wished she could find someone to be happy with, to be in love with. She hadn't dated anyone since Riley left.
"So Buffster how was patrol?" Xander asked.
"Dead, well as in no undead creatures roaming around itching for a staking" Buffy babbled.
"Ok so slow night" Willow smiled.
"I say we boogy down" Xander said rising to his feet.
"Yes let's dance and get turned on, so we can go home and have sex" Anya smiled taking his hand.
"She is really blunt" Tara blushed as they made their way onto the dance floor.
"That she is" Willow agreed and lead Tara in the same direction.
"No guys I'm ok, you just go dance" Buffy mumbled to herself once she was alone at the table.
Faith sat the bar finishing off her Jack and Coke. She was looking around the room to see if there was anyone who might catch her interest. As she was doing so a guy approached her. Not a bad looking guy, but she wasn't interested. She blew him off quickly and began walking across the room to get away from him. She stopped dead in her tracks when she was a foot away from a blonde sitting at a nearby table. Hmm now she's the hottest thing I've seen in this town yet and she's alone. With that Faith walked up and sat down across from the girl.
"Uhh hi?" Buffy said to the stranger who just sat down.
"Hi there..the name's Faith and who might you be?" She asked with a smile.
"I'm Buffy..it's nice to meet you." She extended her hand.
Faith shook her hand and felt a jolt go through her.
"Nice to meet you."
"So uh was there something you needed?" Buffy didn't trust people she didn't know, goes with the vampire slayer job.
Faith laughed lightly "You're not one for making new friends are you sugar?"
"No I mean it's just I never seen you around here" Buffy said.
"Well it's cause I'm not from around here" Faith grinned.
"Oh I see where are you from?" Buffy asked.
"Originally Boston, lately everywhere."
"Oh it must be fun to travel, is that for work?"
Faith cocked an eyebrow "Oh yeah always work."
"So what do you do?" Buffy was curious.
"I'm head of a national security system company, yanno install the systems, check on them so forth, kind of lame" Faith lied so easily.
"Oh no that sounds kind of exciting."
Buffy couldn't help but to look the girl before her over. She was very beautiful with her long brown hair hanging down in waves over her bare shoulders. She had on a strapless burgandy top, that hung low to her cleavage, and a pair of tight black leather pants. Chocolate brown eyes that held a mystery to them. It was nice to meet new, normal people for once.
"So what is it that you do Buffy?" Faith asked.
"I uh go to college, but since it's summer I don't."
God she had a knack for words, guess she couldn't say I'm a slayer.
"That's wicked cool. Never got to do the college thing."
"It's okay, and you never went to college? Must be really smart to get a job like you have then, and how old are you if you don't mind me asking?" Ok so she was nosey.
Faith laughed "Well at least I got you talking. Yeah I like to think I'm smart." She grinned "I'm 20 what about you?"
"I'm 21, wow you have a cool job for such a young age, I would of pegged you for 25" Buffy smiled.
"I'll take that as a compliment" Faith shrugged "So you wanna dance Buffy?"
Buffy glared at her for a minute, a dance wouldn't hurt nothing. "Sure."
They made their way to the packed dance floor as a fast paced beat began to play. Buffy slowly began moving her body with the rhythm. She watched as Faith quickly got into it her hips swaying, arms stretched out in the air, and then she was getting closer. Buffy felt her hands on her hips, as their bodies grew nearer, and were moving as one. Faith was an amazing dancer, and Buffy tried her best to keep up, and match her move for move. She was dimly aware of her thighs rubbing against the other woman's and the warm breathe against her neck. The song ended all too fast and she came back to reality and stepped away. She gave the girl a smile as she headed back to her seat.
Faith just stood there frozen for a moment. Buffy was hot, and that dance so just turned her on. She shouldn't be doing this though. Mixing business with pleasure. She walked back to the table to see the girl had four friends with her now. Something gave her the idea that Buffy was not the one night stand kind, but maybe she does swing this way since she's with a female couple. Something else inside told Faith that she didn't want a one nighter. What's up with that?
"Hey guys this is Faith" Buffy said for introduction. "Faith these are my friends Xander, Anya, Willow and Tara." She said while pointing.
"Hi everyone" Faith smiled.
She received an echo of "Hellos".
"Have a seat and join us Faith" Buffy patted the chair beside her.
"Thanks." She sat and suddenly felt uncomfortable with the group of people. So much for a low profile, though these people were small towners her age, hey maybe she could use their help. Ha yeah scratch that, these people wouldn't be able to pull off something so complicated. Plus they seemed like the nice type of people. ~Shiver~
"So Faith you're new in town?" Willow's question brought her back into the now.
"Yeah I'm here on business for a week or so." She replied. She hated playing formalities.
"Faith installs security systems" Buffy smiled.
"That sounds neat" Tara piped in.
"Yeah security rocks, this one time when I was an army guy..." Xander was cut off by Anya slapping his arm and Buffy's dagger throwing stare.
"Xander dressed as an army guy for Halloween, he got a little too into it" Buffy said quickly.
"Um ok I can dig that, I think." Faith shrugged "So are the rest of you in college?" It's always good to get the low down on people.
"Me and Tara are, Xander does construction, and Anya runs the Magic Box" Willow answered.
"Magic Box?" That piqued her curiousity.
"It's like a magic shop with all kinds of cool new age, wiccan, and other assorted things" Anya was all business.
"Wicked I may have to check that out."
"Oh yes and buy lots of things I hate when people just browse it upsets me and makes me wish I was a dem..." Xander clapped his hand over Anya's mouth.
"Makes her wanna be a demonstrater again, ah those good old days setting up the candy displays in Wal-mart."
Ok these people are freaks, and dumb asses to boot. Well those two were at least. Faith looked down at her silver Fossil watch it was already after midnight.
"Well I better get going I got a ton of shit to do in the morning, it was nice to meet you all." She said standing.
"Let me walk you home" Buffy said now standing. She didn't want her to get attacked by a vamp.
"Nah I'm cool thanks though."
"No I insist, it's a bad neighborhood at night."
Faith laughed okay she had seen plenty of bad neighborhoods, and this so wasn't one of them. Was this petite girl actually supposed to protect her anyways? Hmm maybe she just wanted to go home with her. Perhaps she had her pegged all wrong. Well hell in that case.
"Let's stroll then." She said waving bye to the others. Buffy told the others bye as well and walked out with her.
The first few minutes of the walk were silent, till Faith couldn't take it anymore "So B are Blondie and Red together?"
Buffy looked at her for a minute, until who she was talking about dawned on her. What's with this chic and nicknames? "Yeah Tara and Willow are a couple, does that bother you?"
Faith shrugged "Not at all. So what about you, you into girls too?"
Buffy laughed "Me? No I like guys."
Damn it! Not the answer Faith wanted "Ah drive the stick shift eh?"
Buffy blushed "If you call it that, and you?"
"I've drove the stick, but I prefer the automatic, I'm not one for driving between the yellow lines you can say."
Buffy laughed and was suddenly nervous "Oh that's cool."
"So do you have a boyfriend then Buffy?" Faith liked to know all about someone.
"No I haven't really had one in awhile, my relationships never work out." She sighed remembering Angel, and Riley.
"What? A beautiful lady like yourself should have both sexes banging down your door" Faith smiled.
Buffy laughed "I wish, plus I don't really have time. Do you have a uhh boyfriend..or girlfriend?"
"Nope don't have time either, plus I'm not into relationships I'm more of a get some get gone girl."
Buffy's eyes grew wider. She was a blunt one like Anya. "I see."
"Well here's my motel" Faith pointed towards her door. "Thanks for the walk."
"Anytime it was nice to meet you Faith, be careful around here at night" Buffy said again.
"I can handle myself" Faith grinned.
"Well maybe I'll see you around. Bye Faith" Buffy said with a wave as she turned to leave.
"Bye Buffy" Faith said stepping into her room.
CHAPTER TWO
The next day Faith had just gotten a shower, and got dressed. She had alot of work to do, but yet her mind kept straying from that work and onto a certain blonde named Buffy she had met last night. If she didn't know better she would say it was love at first sight, but no Faith don't love anyone so it was lust, that's it, pure primal lust. So she kept telling herself. Too bad she didn't swing this way, but her friends did so the thought didn't totally revolt her apparently.
Faith stepped outside the door to begin her day. She sighed because she so wasn't into walking everywhere. She still had a large sum of money left over from a jewelry store robbing a few months back, not enough to make her rich, but enough to buy a bike, and some other toys for herself. She had seen a Harley shop yesterday so that's the way she headed.
Buffy was in the Magic Box training room. The HellMouth had been quiet lately so no big bad seemed to be brewing. Just your typical easy to kill vamps had been lurking. She still trained hard. You never knew when the next big thing would come, and she wanted to be ready. She was kinda sick of dying yanno. She gave the bag a few more kicks, and decided that was enough for today.
Faith pulled her new Harley to a stop when she saw the Magic Box. She remembered them talking about it last night. She dug weird shit, plus maybe Buffy would be here. Wishful thinking but still. She hopped off her hog and smiled. The Flame red surrounded by the chrome gave her a tingly feeling. If it's one thing Faith liked it was hot ass rides, well next to hot ass women. She pulled the door open to the shop as the bell chimed.
"Hi! Faith right?" Anya said from behind the counter.
"Hi there...Anya" Faith said with a smile.
"Did you come to buy lots of stuff?"
Faith laughed "Uh we'll see."
Xander was trying not to drool as he looked at Faith with her lowcut tight dark jeans, and white tank top leaving little to the imagination. "Nice to see you again."
"You too." She said peering around at the place.
"Hey guys do you wanna do the movies tonight?" Buffy asked coming out of the back.
"Sure we can do movies, we'll get Will and Tara, and Dawn" Xander said.
Buffy stopped when she noticed who was there "Faith hi what are you doing here?"
Faith smiled "Shopping?" Yeah right.
"Oh cool, we got lots of neat thingys" Buffy returned the smile.
They all looked up when they heard the door nearly fly off its hinges, causing the bell to chime like ten times. Dawn came running in with Willow and Tara walking in behind her shaking their heads. Buffy just looked at her sister, fearing something was wrong.
"Dawn what is it?" Buffy asked concerned.
"Oh my God Buffy it is so badddd" Dawn squealed.
"What Dawn tell me!" Buffy was getting scared.
"That Harley out front! Did you see it? Oh man it's so cool" Dawn went on.
Buffy rolled her eyes. Sometimes she really wanted to choke her sister. "Dawn jeez you scared the hell out of me. I thought something was wrong."
"Sorry Buffy but it's awesome" Dawn said with a smile.
"Glad you like my bike" Faith said strolling over.
"That's yours? Wow so cool. Who are you?"
"Dawn this is Faith, she's a new friend. Faith this is my annoying little sister Dawn" Buffy said.
"Nice to meet you Dawn" Faith said.
"You too. Can I sit on your bike?"
Faith laughed "Yeah sure, maybe I can take you for a ride sometime."
"Oh yeah that would rock" Dawn said running out the door.
Buffy sighed "Sorry about that."
"No problem I feel the same way when I see a new bike, I just got that this morning. I hate walking" Faith grinned.
"Must be nice to go out and buy a new bike like that" Tara said from her seat.
"Yeah sometimes ya gotta spoil yourself" Faith said.
Faith's eyes kept falling back on Buffy. The girl was wearing cut off jogging shorts, and a white sports bra. Her hair was falling out of the ponytail on her head, and she was all sweaty. Must of been working out or something. God she looked good, and didn't even have any makeup on. Faith's mind wanted to go into perverse land but before it could she was being spoken to again.
"So Faith how do you like it here so far?" Willow was asking.
"It's alright just arrived last night, so haven't really got to do much yet." She answered.
"There's not much to do, but we have minature golf!" Xander said.
Faith just looked at him. She would so never play that. "Uh huh, well I was planning on going to the Museum today, heard it had alot of interesting pieces."
"Oh you're more the intellectual kind huh, we don't go to museums unless it's life or death..literally" Xander said.
"Uh yeah well I like to think I'm an all around girl. My tastes vary" Faith said with her trademark grin in place.
"I think it's cool. Going there and stuff" Buffy said trying to act smart.
"Why don't you join me B? Maybe you can show me around this little town of yours" Faith asked.
"Um well...sure I don't have any plans today. Well movies, but that's tonight. Maybe you would like to come with us to that?" Buffy was being friendly.
"Sure sounds wicked" Faith simply stated.
Thirty minutes later Faith walked out of the shop with two bags full of junk in hand. What the hell was she going to do with this shit? She didn't know what half of it was, but Anya was eager to sell and she thought buying shit from her friend may look good to Buffy. She was placing it in the leather bag on the bike after Dawn finally got off the thing. That kid was sweet Faith thought. Shit did she just say sweet? She had to get outta this place soon. It was all an act though Faith told herself. She was pretending to be nice to these people, it was better than having nobody to talk too. Even when she had Chrissy, Missy, and Justice around she still felt alone. They were drawn together for work and nothing more.
She stopped her mind from talking when Buffy walked out and stood beside of her. She had changed and looked hella good now. Her long blonde hair was down, and she had on faded jeans and a sleeveless purple shirt that tied in the back. Woah, Faith caught herself when she looked into those mesmerizing green eyes. She had to quickly look away, before she got lost in them.
"Hope you don't mind riding the Harley, I didn't think of having passengers or I would of got a car" Faith smiled.
"No I'm up for it" Buffy said with cheer.
"Great" Faith jumped on straddling the leather seat.
"Hop on." She said helping Buffy up.
"Hope you like it fast and rough" Faith said in a husky tone.
Buffy just gulped "Bring it on."
Faith revved up the engine and peeled out nearly causing Buffy to fly off the back. "By the way you might wanna hang on."
Faith was enjoying having the blonde's arms wrapped tightly around her waist. She could feel her warm hands on her stomach. Sure it was only cuz she was driving like a maniac and the girl was fearing for her life, but hey you gotta get your kicks somehow. Why the hell did she ask her to come to the museum with her? She was going there for work not play. She needed to look inside and check out the place's security. Oh well she could map the place out, and still hang with Buffy. No harm no foul.
Buffy tightened her grip around Faith's waist as they took a sharp curve. My God does this girl even have a license? Buffy was totally starting to fear for her life now, and she didn't even have a helmet. She could feel another head injury coming on. Maybe she was just too uptight. This was kinda fun. The wind blowing through your hair, makes you feel so free, like you're flying. Which technically she was since they were doubling the speed limit. Faith seems nice. It had been so long since she had real friends outside of the Scooby's.
Once they were inside of the musuem Faith began making mental notes on the place. She knew the alarm system on the front door was a good one, but she had seen better. She listened to Buffy's ohh's and ahh's about different "pretty pictures" and couldn't help but to smile. She needed to keep her mind on the plan though, but being around this girl wasn't making it easy. They had walked from room to room seeing and discussing the many different artifacts, all the while Faith was taking count on how many security guards there was, any windows, and back doors she seen. As they walked down a large corridor her eyes finally feasted on what she was looking for. The Cross of Maleka gleamed from its solitary case. The pure gold shined in the dim light from the ceiling. That was going to be hers.
"Wow look at this cross" Buffy cooed.
"Yeah it's amazing isn't it?" Faith said stepping closer to the velvet ropes that surrounded it.
"Says it's pure gold, and it's huge, bet it's worth a ton of money" Buffy said.
"That it is" Faith said eyeing the electric boxes on either side, noting is was the force field protection she was used to.
"Hey I'll be right back, gonna use the bathroom" Faith said.
"Okay" Buffy said as she began looking at other items.
Once Faith was out of Buffy's sight she slipped around the corner. She had seen the security station this way earlier. Now for a distraction so she could get in. Ducking down in a corner where no camera's could see her, she pulled a small gun from her pants leg. The silencer was in place. She peered across the room, and took aim at a vase sitting about thirty yards away. She took a shot, and the vase shattered, echoing a large crash on the hard floors. She watched as three security guards ran out of the room, and near the disturbance. With all her speed she caught the door before it closed, and slipped inside. The room was filled with a ton of tv screens from the different cameras they had throughout the place, she remeberized each location, and dug around quickly until she found what she was looking for. A map out of the place, and its security. This was too damn easy. Small town dumb fucks.
She had left the room, with the rolled up map tucked securely in her other pant's leg. Then she headed back to Buffy. It was time to get out of this place. They decided to get some food because Faith was wicked hungry, so they ended up at a small diner in town. After they ordered their food they sat talking.
"The museum was really fun, it's not often I get to go out and enjoy normal activities" Buffy said.
"Why not? You're young and lively?" Faith asked. Buffy had to stop herself from saying the truth "Well since my mom died, I have been taking care of Dawn, so with that and school, if I even go back. It's rough."
"If you go back? You are an intelligent woman Buffy you should definitely continue with college" Faith wasn't sure where that came from.
Buffy smiled, that was nice "Well with mom gone, I have to work yanno there's a mortgage and bills to pay, and Dawn is young she needs alot of things. Willow and Tara live with us so they pay their share, but it's still hard."
Faith really did feel bad for her at that moment. She was too young and beautiful to be dealing with all that shit on her own. "I'm sorry I know it's hard, but I'm sure you find a way, you seem like a strong woman, and I know you can do it."
"Thank you" Buffy smiled brightly.
As their orders arrived, they ate in silence. But Faith's mind was working overtime. She really felt bad for Buffy. Just looking at the woman she had thought the girl had it made, and was just another college kid, but she was so off. It made her like her even more for the fact that she remained so strong after facing obstacles. Faith knew what that was like. She had been on her own since she was fifteen and had seen alot more than most people imagined. Why couldn't she be more like Buffy? This girl worked hard, and did the responsible things, while Faith was a fucking con artist. She did what she had to do, and after this stunt was over with she was done with it, she swore to herself this was the end. Who knows maybe she could stick around Sunnydale when it was all over with. Maybe for once in her life she could have some friends, and find a place where she belongs.
Faith insisted on paying for their meal and then they headed outside to see that evening had fast approached. "So what's on the agenda now? Or well I mean if you wanna keep hanging."
"Well I promised the gang we'd meet them at the theatre, if you still wanna go" Buffy said.
"Yeah I'm up for it as long as I don't hafta watch some sappy love story" Faith grinned.
"Ugh I don't think I could handle that either."
"K it's settled then. Death and Chaos, action and adventure!" Faith yelled as she straddled the bike. Buffy shook her head and climbed on "I see enough of that in my everyday life" she mumbled.
"Say what?" Faith turned her head to her.
"Uh nothing, let's go" Buffy faked a smile.
"Your wish is my command" Faith said as she peeled out.
CHAPTER THREE
Once at the movies they met up with the others and decided on some new horror flick. As long as it didn't contain to vampires, and demons Buffy was happy. Luckily for her this was just some serial killer with no demonic powers. Faith had insisted on paying for Buffy and Dawn's tickets, along with a tub of popcorn and sodas, and some goobers for the kiddo. Faith was fast becoming one of Dawn's favorite people.
The movie started and everyone was quiet. Faith was happy to find herself seated next to the blonde. Everyone seemed to be totally into the movie, except for Faith who's eyes kept straying to Buffy's beautiful face. She seemed entranced with the film and Faith almost wanted to laugh at her utter look of seriousness. She stuck her hand in the tub between them to grab some popcorn when she felt Buffy's fingers brush against hers. Everytime this girl touched her she felt like electic currents were rushing through her body. Buffy mouthed a sorry and pulled her hand away.
Buffy settled back into the movie but couldn't shake the funny feeling in her stomach. When her hand accidently brushed with Faith's she felt an odd tingle. She peered to her left to catch a glimpse of the girl. The dim light of the screen brought out her features. Despite the dark eyeshadow, and ruby red lipstick she looked young. Faith was such a nice person. Upon looking at her you would assume she was a cold hearted bitch, I mean she just had the whole bad girl look, but then she had been so nice to Buffy. She found herself wanting to be closer to her, she felt like the girl had already became a good friend, and she hoped it stayed that way. As the killer on screen started slicing on a girl, she jumped and latched on to the closest arm which just happened to be Faith.
"Sorry." She whispered and went to let go but Faith just put her arm around her and pulled her closer.
"It's ok I know it's scary, just hide your eyes." She smiled.
Buffy did just that. She leaned her head onto the arm she was gripping and waited for the scary music to stop. Granted she was a vampire slayer and had seen far worse things in her lifetime, but scary real people killer movies still freaked her out.
After the movie everyone decided to meet up at Buffy's house. Faith felt slightly uncomfortable being the outsider and all, but Buffy had insisted she come. So now they sat around the living room engulfed in conversation, that Faith clearly wasn't paying any attention to. She really should get out of here and back to the motel so she could plan for tomorrow night's events. She had decided that's when she was going to pull off the job. It was best to do it as soon as possible and be done with it. Her cell phone rung from her jacket pocket and and quickly retrieved it. She nearly fainted when she heard the familiar voice on the other end.
"Buffy do you mind if I step into the kitchen to take this call. It's my boss." She said.
"Sure go ahead" Buffy smiled.
Once inside the kitchen she put the phone back to her ear "What do you want?"
"What do you think I want Faith. I want my fucking money." The man said.
"What money? I don't work for you anymore okay." She said between clentched teeth.
"Oh on the contrary darling you will always work for me. You think a little prison escape meant that you didn't belong to me anymore? Think again Faith."
"I don't belong to anyone you bastard." She spat out. She heard a devilish roar of laughter "You girls fucked up baby, and I had one pissed off Cuban who was expecting a sachet of diamonds. You know I hate to look like a liar. So the way I see it is you are indebted to me. I know where you are Faith, and I know what you're after. Once you get it I expect you to turn it over to me."
"Fuck you. I don't owe you a damn thing."
"I took you off the streets doll. I made you what you are today. I made all of you! You my dear are my favorite though. The other three can rot in prison for all I care, but you have always been the smartest, the strongest, and the most beautiful."
"Whatever it's over. I have more than paid you back. I want out I am done with it."
"You know you can never get out Faith. You're mine forever."
"I am not yours! I never was and I never will be. You're a sick bastard who brain washes people. I can see that now. You used me. You used all of us and turned us into fucking criminals. You made us think it was our only chance of survival, and then once you got to us you fucked us even more. You took advantage of young girls for your own sick pleasure. You will never touch me again. Do you understand that? I will fucking kill you first."
"You ungrateful bitch! How dare you threaten me? Fine have it your way Faith. You just signed your death wish. You be hearing from me soon." With that he hung up.
Faith slammed the phone shut and leaned against the counter top. She closed her eyes and held her head in her hands. Did she actually think he wouldn't find her? All the memories came flooding back into her brain. First her mother and father, then him Fredric. He had taken her off the streets when she was fifteen, and at first she thought he was a saviour. He lived in a huge mansion where all the other girls he had collected off the streets stayed. That's where she met her gang. He had paired the four together. In exchange for food and shelter, they were to live by his demands. He had people who taught them how to fight, and then went under years of intensive training on anything a crook would need to know. He made them fucking robots. She took a deep breathe as she remembered all the favours they were forced to perform for him. Sick bastard. She didn't want him to touch her. It reminded her of her dad, and the very thing she had ran from. But at least he acted like he cared. At least he bought her things, and didn't call her a whore.
Justice had the right idea when she did what she did. Why couldn't Faith had seen it then? Justice wanted out, she wanted it all to stop and to have a normal life. Faith too now longed for that. She had been in this fucking town for two days and had got a glimpse of what happiness was. Then he came back and ruined it like he always did. She was under his control rather she fought it or not. He still made her feel scared, and alone. He would find her, he knew where she was. She had to get out of here as soon as she got that cross. She couldn't stay in this town now if she wanted to. But once she sold the cross, she could run, stay in some foreign country and hope he wouldn't find her.
"Faith are you okay?" She felt a hand on her shoulder and jumped back.
"Yeah I'm fine. I gotta get going thanks for everything Buffy." She said walking away.
"Faith wait..where are you going? It's late you can stay here if you like" Buffy offered.
"No I can't. Look I'll be leaving tomorrow, and I just wanted to say I had a really great time with you today. You're an awesome girl, and your friends are cool. I wish I could have friends like that. You lead an amazing life Buffy, and you are a strong, beautiful person. Don't ever change." With that Faith walked to Buffy and placed a soft kiss against her cheek, and then she was gone.
Ok what the hell just happened here? Buffy put her hand to her cheek which was still warm from Faith's lips. She thought Faith was going to be staying for at least a week. Maybe her boss was sending her somewhere else. She looked really distraught though, and that little speech. Buffy sighed new friends never did last that long. It was probally best the mysterious girl was leaving. It wasn't safe to bring anyone else into the gang that fought against the darkness.
"Where did Faith take off to?" Willow asked when Buffy entered the room.
"She had to leave, I'm not sure really. She looked kinda freaked, said she was leaving tomorrow."
"Aww man this sucks! Faith is so cool, the cool people never stick around" Dawn whined.
"Hey! We're cool" Xander said with a hurt look.
"Yeah but Faith was mega cool. She had a Harley and wicked clothes, see I learnt that word from her which is cool as well" Dawn said throwing her arms in the air.
"It's better this way Dawn. She didn't know who I really was, and what's really out there. She can go on with a normal life" Buffy sighed.
Faith flung herself down on the hard motel bed. Buffy actually seemed worried about her, like she cared. No not true nobody cares about me. My mom, my dad, and even Fredric pounded that into my brain. Nobody in this world gives a fuck about you Faith. You're worthless, a piece of trash. If Buffy knew what she really was she wouldn't of ever let her into her house. She was a wanted criminal. Tomorrow night she would steal the cross and be gone. Maybe then she could start a new life.
CHAPTER FOUR
Buffy was patroling one of Sunnydale's many graveyards. It had been a quiet night so far and she was itching for a good slaying. Her mind kept going back to last night and Faith. She guessed the girl was in another town by now. Why did it even bother her so much that she was gone? She had known her for like not even two days. Still there was something about her, something that made Buffy want to learn more about her. Like a puzzle, you don't want to stop until you put all the pieces together. Wasn't going to happen now though.
"Hey slayer lookin for me." A vamp snarled.
Buffy whirled around and grinned "Ah finally I could use a workout."
"Ha I will drain your blood," the vamp said stepping forward.
"You guys are really so lame, I'll drain your blood? What is that?" She said whipping out her stake.
The vampire lunged at her and she side stepped causing him to tumble into a tombstone. He whirled back around and swung a fist, which was blocked. Buffy countered with a hard right to his ugly face, and followed it up with a swift kick to the ribs. The vamp growled and fell to the ground with a loud thud. Buffy took stance over top of him and brought the stake high into the air.
"Light's out lil vampy." She said bringing her arm down.
"Wait! If you stake me your never know what's going to happen." He yelled.
She stopped an inch before his heart "What's going to happen?"
"If you spare me I will tell you."
"Tell me and then I'll decide."
"The cross of Maleka, he's coming for it."
"Who's coming for it? And what is it?" Her patience was growing thin.
"Mr. Galenstan he is part demon, with the cross that is held in the museum he will become whole, and then he will rule all."
"When is he coming?" She asked.
"Tonight."
She let the vampire stand and told him to go. He smiled and took off into a sprint before she threw her stake into his back turning him into a pile of dust. She walked up and retrieved the stake. They fall for that everytime. She wondered if he was telling the truth. She thought for a moment and remembered her and Faith seeing that cross on their trip to the museum. Shit it was real. She took off running as fast as she could to her house.
Faith slipped into the form fitting latex suit. It was special made and hid signs of body heat, for heat sensitive radars. She filled a duffle bag with all the tools she would need. She wasn't some two bit criminal, she was hardcore baby. She had gadgets and gizmos most people didn't even know existed. Some of them she had designed herself. This was it do or die time. She grabbed the bag and headed out the door.
"Willow have you found any information yet?" Buffy asked pacing around the room.
"Just a sec..ah yes here it is. The cross dates back hundreds of years. It's said that it was once used in a ritual in ancient Italy to turn a half demon into true form. The demon then took over an entire village, torturing and killing innocent people for fun. It's said that he was a sexual predator, he kept women as slaves. It's like he didn't want to end the world like most of our demons, he just wanted to rule it. To dominate people. It was killed by an army from a neighboring village when he tried to take that over, but it doesn't say how."
"Well at least he's dead so we know it's a new wanna be dominator we're dealing with." Buffy sighed.
"Well yeah I think it's someone in the family. It says before he died he said his family would live on, and one day his blood would again rule." Willow said still reading from the screen.
"Great so this guy is gonna be a woman hater too. Ok I have to get to the museum and stop this. If he's not in full demon form he'll be much easier to kill."
"We're going with you. If it gets out of hand we can do a spell." Willow said.
"Ok just be careful, Tara call Xander and tell him to meet us there. It may not be easy to get into."
After Faith had disabled the alarm system, and the cameras she was well onto her way. She crept slowly down the dark hallways of the museum. She knew there were two guards on duty tonight and she was waiting for them. She didn't have to wait long before she seen one in the near distance shining a flash light.
She pulled the tranqualizer gun out and shot it into his knee. He was down quick, and out cold. On cue the other guard momentarily ran in to see what the noise was, before he too joined his co-worker on the ground. God this place sure don't know how to run a tight nit security system.
Buffy along with Xander, Tara, and Willow stood outside the door of the museum. They were trying to decide on how to break in. They needed a way that wouldn't set off the alarms.
"Uh Buff I found a way," Xander said.
Buffy looked at him "Yeah how?"
He opened the front door "It's umm open."
"Oh no that means he must be here already. Ok we gotta move." Buffy said flying into the building with her friends in tow.
Faith stared at the shiny cross from across the room. She sat her bag down on the floor and pulled out a bottle of a special areosal formula. She sprayed it in front of her, which caused a hundred blue beams to light up before her. If she so much as touched one of the blue lines the internal alarms would sound. She had managed to turn off the outside ones, but these were much more riskier. She stepped back and stretched for a moment.
She could touch no part of the floor within the force field for more than three seconds, or the alarms would also go off. Ok this is it baby. With that she took off into a handspring. Her body moved in perfect time and movements. Hurling herself through the air, and in between the lines, as she flipped and twirled. It took years of practice to perfect this, any normal person would have been caught at the door.
As she landed on her feet, she took a deep breath. Shit that gets her worked up everytime. She grinned as she stared at the case before her. She pulled out a small screwdriver and proceeded to remove the glass case covering her prize. Once off she reach inside and took hold of the cross. Hell yeah this thing was nice, and was gonna make her a fortune.
She returned the lid, and carefully placed the large cross around her neck by its golden chain. Then she did the whole gymnastics routine over again until she landed on the other end of the field. Fucking A! She did it! She heard clapping behind her and she swiftly turned around.
Buffy couldn't believe her eyes. The woman was amazing the way she hurdled through the blue lights. Even with slayer ability she doubted she could do that. When the girl landed with her back to them she began clapping. Just a little gesture to say you're busted big shot. Then the girl turned around. Wait that's....
"Faith." Buffy half said half whispered.
Faith's heart just dropped to her feet. Oh God why was Buffy here. "Buffy."
Buffy's eye's went wide "Why..why would you steal that?"
Faith sighed and looked down "You wouldn't understand ok."
"I ..wait this was all a setup. You are working for him! Jesus why didn't I see it before. Nobody just waltz's into my life and is a normal human being. What are you Faith? Because my spidery senses didn't go off."
"What the hell are you talking about B?" Faith asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Don't play dumb with me. You had me fooled Faith. I actually thought you were a nice person. So much for slayer instinct. What do you get out of all of this huh? You gonna try and rule the world beside of him?" Buffy was fuming.
"Look I don't know what the fuck you're going on about. I ain't working for anyone ok. I need this Buffy. It's gonna make me rich. I'll split it with you. You won't have to work anymore, worry about bills. You can finish school."
Buffy laughed "Yeah right so I'm supposed to think you're just a thief, not a thief working for someone trying to become a demon God."
Faith was totally lost now "Demon? Buffy are you ok?"
Buffy studied her features for a moment. Either she was a good actress, or she really didn't know what she was talking about. "You trying to tell me you don't work for Fredric Galvenstan?"
Faith's mouth dropped "Fredric..I used to work for him..but I don't anymore..he knows where I am though, he wants the cross, but I don't owe him anything, so he's not getting it. But he's just a man Buffy, a powerful man, but not a demon."
Faith was nervous as fuck now. She had been busted. Why was Buffy here though, and how did she know about Fredric? And what the hell was up with the demon lingo? Better yet why was Faith wasting her time explaining this to her? She could kick Buffy's ass if she wanted to, and she needed to get the hell outta dodge before the guards woke up.
"Look B it's been fun but I gotta split." Faith said as she began walking past her.
"No I think you stay F." Buffy said grabbing her arm and slamming her into a nearby wall.
What the fuck. Tougher than she looks. "What's the deal B? You work for the cops or something?"
"I Faith am the slayer, and I'm going to kill your boss and you if I have to."
"Buffy what's going on?" Willow asked as her and the others finally arrived.
"Is that Faith?" Xander looked confused.
"Seems Faith had us all fooled. She's here to steal the cross." Buffy said her arm firmly held against Faith's throat.
Before anymore words could be spoken the room was filled with vampires. Ah shit they had been ambushed. Buffy let go of Faith when three vampires began circling her. She pulled out her trusty stake and got to work. She had one staked and was pounding on the other two when she noticed her friends too were struggling with vamps of their own.
Faith stood in shock for a moment. Ok what the fuck were those things? Damn Buffy is kicking their asses, woah didn't know she had it in her, and did that dude just turn into dust? Hey wait a second Red and Blondie are over there chanting now, and these guys are magically flying through the air, before poofing. Spontaneous combustion? Even the goofy guy is getting in some good punches. Who the hell are these people? Oomph no time to think now I just got sucker punched.
Buffy seen Faith fighting with a vamp. Why was she fighting with them? She was posed to be on their side right? Oh no he's got her down and is about to bite her. Buffy ran over to Faith and slammed the stake into the vampire's back. As he dissappeared Buffy was looking into Faith's terrified eyes. She stood frozen before the girl, lost somewhere in her eyes.
"Good show my friends." A deep voice called and she came back from the depths.
"Fredric" Faith whispered.
"Faith my dear I told you I knew where you were." The dark figured stalked closer with another group of vampires behind him.
"Why are you doing this? These people didn't do anything and who the hell are those guys?" Faith still didn't know what to think.
"Oh Faith my dear you still have so much to learn. These are vampires." He gestured with his hands "And she," he pointed to Buffy "is the vampire slayer, the chosen one. She thinks she can stop us, but she can't. I am going to become a full demon and then this world will be mine!"
"That's where you're wrong" Buffy interrupted "I will stop you."
The man dressed in full black with his dark eyes and hair laughed "Don't be a fool young lady. No woman could ever step in my path."
Faith walked up till she was face to face with him "Don't be so sure."
"Faith you turn on me for a slayer? After I made you what you are, after I saved you from the streets?"
"You didn't save me. You killed me. You took what was left of my innocence and you used it up. You did it to all of us. Do you think I wanted to be a thief? To act like a trained animal and run out and steal whenever you told me to, just so I could have shelter, food, love. But it wasn't love you gave me, it was control. You mind fucked me, and I couldn't see it until now. You're sick! We were little girls when you got us, and you took advantage of that. You fucked our minds, and our bodies. I will die before I let another girl go through that."
"So be it Faith then you will die." He said as he pulled the pistol out of his pocket.
Faith kicked him with all her strength in his stomach causing him to stumble back a few steps. On cue his vampire minions began attacking the others, and it became an all out battle. Faith punched him in the face with a series of powerful blows, but he didn't go down. She did a spinning kick and the gun flew out of his hand and and slid across the floor.
In a matter of minutes most of the vampires were dead, and Faith was rolling on the floor with Fredric who was currently on top of her with his hands fastened around her thin neck, choking the life out of her. She managed to wrap her legs around his and flip him over, so the roles were reversed. He was stronger than her though and with all his might he tossed her off of him and she landed on the cold floor.
She seen him scrambling for the gun and he got to it before she could even move. He stood now and clicked the safety off as he pointed it at her. He then smiled widely and spun around aiming the gun at the back of Buffy's head. Nooo.
Faith leaped up and into action. She heard as the shot was fired, and in what seemed like slow motion she threw herself towards the blonde, and felt a sudden rush of pain in her chest. Her eyes rolled back and she hit the ground. Buffy whirled around and gasped. She dropped to her knees beside the girl, and seen she was still breathing.
CHAPTER FIVE
Before Buffy could do anything further Fredric approached with his gun still in hand. Buffy's heart was racing, and she felt the droplets of sweat forming on her brow. She looked to where her friends were still fighting off the remaining vampires. Fredric grabbed Buffy roughly and pulled her to him. At that moment Xander, Willow and Tara finished off the vamps and turned to see he now had Buffy. Their eyes falling from Faith's limp body back to Buffy who was slightly shaking. Slayers weren't bullet proof. This guy wasn't playing fair. Buffy really didnt want to die yet again.
"Now slayer I shall teach you no to try and step in my way." Fredric growled in her ear.
The others felt helpless as he pressed the warm metal against Buffy's temple. If they moved he would surely shoot, but if they didn't he probably still would.
"Say goodbye bitch," he snarled.
"Buffy!" Willow shrieked as a shot rang out.
Buffy slowly opened her eyes to see if she made it back to Heaven, but she didn't. She was alive. She whirled around to see Fredric on the ground in a pool of dark red blood. His body jerking and his mouth was quivering. Then she saw the person who saved her life..twice. Faith was on her knees with a small gun shaking in her hands. Blood still poured from her open wound. Slowly and painfully she made her way over until she knelt before Fredric.
She gazed upon his body which was struggling to hang onto life. His eyes met hers and slowly a grin spread across her face. "I killed you" she whispered. He attempted to move but she slammed the end of the pistol into the side of his head over and over again. Spurts of his blood were landing on her face and hands but she didn't stop. She just kept hitting and repeating "I killed you, you bastard, I killed you."
When Buffy finally broke out of her trance she leaned down and grabbed Faith's bloody hands, dropping the gun to the floor. Fredric was way dead by this time. Faith was shaking terribly and mumbling incoherently to herself. Buffy dropped to her knees in front of her and gently grabbed her shoulders. Faith raised her lowered head and looked into Buffy's eyes. "I killed him" she slowly said before the blackness overcame her again and she fell into Buffy's arms.
When Faith came to she was in the back of a car. She looked up to see it was Buffy's lap her head was cradled in. The pain she was feeling was intense. She felt Buffy's hand applying pressure to the graping hole in her chest.
"Where are we?" she managed to ask.
"We're taking you to the hospital." Buffy replied.
"No I can't go there please." Her hoarse voice pleaded.
"Faith you're losing a lot of blood, you have no choice."
"No they will turn me in please. I don't wanna go to prison, just let me die, I'd rather die." Her voice cracked.
"Faith don't say that. Look what you did was wrong, but you saved my life back there so we won't tell what happened okay?"
"It's not just that Buffy I escaped when they were transporting me to prison, I'm wanted."
Buffy briefly closed her eyes. Why was she helping an escaped convict? Because she saved your ass that's why. She didn't totally trust Faith now, but she could of let Buffy die back there, and she didn't. In fact she sacrificied her own life for her. That was such a selfless act, seeing as Faith could of just ran. Instead she was lying here, bleeding, maybe dying, and all she asked was no hospital.
Buffy sighed "Willow let's go to the house, maybe we can stop the bleeding."
"Ok Buffy, I think maybe me and Tara can do a healing spell, it won't do as good as a doctor but it will ease the pain a little and start the healing process."
"Good we'll try that."
When they arrived at the house Xander helped Buffy get Faith out of the car as Willow and Tara scrambled up the stairs to quickly retrieve their tools for the spell. Anya held back a terrified Dawn when they came through the door. "What happened to Faith?" she asked with a scared expression.
"I'll explain later right now we have to help her." Buffy said dashing up the staircase with Faith in her arms.
She gently laid her down on her bed as everyone else rushed in. Faith was once again unconcious. "Dawn, Anya and Xander wait outside please." Buffy instructed and they shuffled out of the room.
Buffy grabed her medical supplies as Willow and Tara set up their ingrediants. Buffy ripped the latex suit down the front so they could access the wound above her left breast. It was still heavily bleeding and Buffy gently climbed onto the bed beside of her and held a cloth firmly against it, to decrease the flow of blood. Willow finished mixing what looked like blue oatmeal and with Tara by her side they stood before Faith who's skin was now pale, and whose breathing was coming in rapid intervals.
Buffy held her breath as the two girls began chanting. Buffy could feel Faith's heart rate decreasing beneath her palms and she silently prayed for this criminal turned heroin to make it. Because if she didn't Buffy knew it was her fault, and she really did like girl, despite everything for some reason she felt like her heart was breaking as she felt warm tears flow down her cheeks.
They finished the chant and within a few minutes Buffy felt her pulse quicken and her breathing sounded normal. She removed the cloth and the wound had stopped bleeding. She looked up at the two wiccans and mouthed a thank you. Buffy began to clean the wound, when she noticed the bullet was still lodged inside. She thanked God she wasn't the quesy type.
With a large set of medical like tweezers which she's used to get pieces of wood out of her own skin before, she easily grabbed the bullet and removed it. Thank God the spell stopped the bleeding or that wouldn't of been pretty. Next she applied the ointment Willow made onto Faith's chest, and she bandaged it up. She stood up and looked down at herself.
She was covered in Faith's blood. Her white shirt looked like that of a meat cutters, and some had even dried beneath her fingernails. When she saw Faith's hand twitch she forgot all about her glamour problems and immediately knelt beside of her.
"Do you think she'll be okay?" Buffy questioned her friends.
"She should be that was a very strong spell and it seems to be working. The ointment we made will let it heal much faster than normal, kinda slayer like." Willow said.
"I can see a big difference already, she'll be fine I just know it." Tara added with a slight smile.
Buffy didn't want to leave Faith's side but they finally convinced her to go shower and change clothes at least. Blood stains were a bitch to get out of carpet. Willow went to inform the others about Faith and Tara sat beside the bed and watched over her.
"Is she going to be okay Tara?" Dawn asked stepping into the room.
"Yes she's going to be good as new in a couple weeks, don't worry."
"I can't believe Faith's a thief, but hey I used to shoplift so I understand." Dawn said in a small voice.
Tara just smiled "We all make mistakes, and tonight Faith nearly paid for hers with her life, but she saved your sister's life in the process."
When Buffy returned from her shower she told everyone to get some sleep. It was almost three in the morning and they all had bumps and bruises from their battle, not to mention the major energy drain the spell caused the wiccans. After everyone turned in, she pulled a chair up to the bed and held Faith's hand, just staring at her, counting each breath the brunette took until she drifted off to sleep herself.
CHAPTER SIX
Faith opened her eyes slowly squinting at the rays of sunlight that washed over her face. The pain she had felt the night before was remarkably better. She looked down to see she was covered with a purple sheet. Either the hospital switched from white or she was somewhere else. She looked around her, taking in the all too girly room. Pastel colors mixed in with flowers.
Then she saw the most beautiful sight her eyes had ever seen. Buffy was curled up in a chair with a blanket half over her body. The position had to be less than comfortable, but the girl looked so peaceful. Her sunkissed skin looked like that of a porclein doll. Her closed eyelids with the lush eyelashes, her lips so pink and pouty, like she was the kind to use gloss daily. Actually all in all she looked like an angel. If Faith was the kind to swoon, she'd be doing so right now.
She had no chance with the girl now, not that she had one before, but definitely never now since she knew Faith's true nature. Still she had helped her. Buffy had brought her here and not to the hospital and had most likely saved her life. Faith knew what she had to do though. She had to split. Everything she touched turned to stone and Buffy and her friends didn't deserve that. The cops were most likely looking for her. Fredric was dead by her hands, and she was running low on cash. Now that selling the cross was out of the plan, which brought a whole new series of questions to her mind. Vampires, demons, slayers? Was everyone on crack? Yet she had seen it all with her own two eyes.
The vampires attacking under Fredric's demand, Buffy's extraordinary strength, her friends with the magical chanting. Shit she assumed to be fairytales was real. Even though she really didn't understand it, especially the whole slayer thing. What the fuck was that? And Fredric well being half demon makes sense for him. But she had a feeling all the disgusting things he did was with his human side. That's how truly fucked he was.
She had never took a life before and it bothered her a bit, but he wasn't totally human after all, and he was evil, so maybe it didn't count. Now he could never hurt another girl, never take advantage of their insecurities, and vulnerbility. All this thinking was giving her a headache so she decided to save it for later, and bust the hell outta here. Slowly she threw her legs over the side of the bed. That's when she noticed the shorts and tee she was wearing, must be Buffy's. She went to stand and the pain shot up to her chest. Ugh!!!
"Where do you think you're going?" A suddenly awake Buffy asked.
"I gotta get outta here." Faith muttered.
"You're not going anywhere. Besides your health issue, you've got some explaining to do." Buffy said as she gently pulled Faith back to a sitting position.
"Are you feeling alright?" Buffy asked sitting next to her.
"Besides the searing pain. I'm five by five B." Faith said with a half grin.
"Good then you're able to talk. Now I wanna know what your deal is Faith." Buffy said matter of factly.
Faith sighed didn't look like she had a choice "Alright but only if you tell me about this slayer thing."
"Deal." Said Buffy waiting for her to begin.
"This is going to be a long story, so I'll just skip to the basics." Faith said laying back down.
"No I want your whole life history." Buffy knew it wasn't necessary but she wanted to know everything about her. What made her do what she did? Why she was her.
"Buffy I...I can't tell you. I don't talk about my childhood, or certain things in my life."
That made Buffy all the more curious "Faith listen you can't keep things bottled up inside. If you would of been honest with me to start, I would of done my best to help you. I'm a good listener, and I really want to get to know you, the real you. I won't judge, so don't be afraid."
For some reason Faith found herself wanting to tell the blonde haired beauty all her secrets. Things she never told anyone before. The things that caused her nightmares. She sighed here goes nothing.
"I was born in Boston. My mom got knocked up when she sixteen and she never wanted me. My dad was a crook, but he wasn't so bad. He stole shit to put food on the table mostly, but when I was seven he started doing bigger jobs and got busted trying to rob a bank. He was killed in prison, which is why I was scared to go there. After he was gone mom started drinking a lot more and then eventually started on drugs. Just the occasional line of coke at first, or some pills. Then she met Randy. Once he moved in and took over, everything changed. Mom was shooting up, and smoking crack. Randy dealt drugs out of the house so all these weird people were there all the time. I had to do all the cleaning, and take on all the household responsibilities.
"Guess that's why I started stealing. I never had lunch money or anything, and there was hardly ever any food in the house, and what there was it wasn't for me. So I'd swipe candy or whatever I could from local stores. Randy made a lot of money from the drugs but we remained in a rat infested apartment, and the only time I got new clothes was from the salvation army. Kids made fun of me cuz I went to school with dirty clothes, and holes in my shoes. It gets really cold in Boston and I kept the flu for a month once, cuz I didn't have a jacket and they refused to waste money on a doctor. So anyway when I turned ten then Randy started paying more attention to me. Not in a good way though."
Faith took a deep breath and continued "At first it was harmless touching, then groping, until finally he decided to make me his sex toy. He raped me over and over again. I didn't like, and I didn't want him to, but I was too small to fight him. I tried to tell mom but she didn't care. So he kept doing it. Every night until I was fifteen and I ran away. I just couldn't take it anymore. When he wasn't raping me, he was beating me. Sometimes mom even joined in on that. Sometimes they would use fists, other times it was more severe. Belts, chains, boards, whatever was around at the time. I still have scars on my back from the worst time with a home made whip.
"Well when I was finally brave enough to take off I lived on the streets for awhile. Sometimes I stayed in shelters, or sometimes outside on the streets. That's where I started meeting people. Gang bangers and the like. Well uh sometimes some of the guys would give me a place to stay for the night, in exchange for a fuck. I never enjoyed it, but I got a warm bed for a night and if I was lucky a couple of bucks. Anyways it was better than having Randy inside of me."
Buffy couldn't believe what she was hearing. This was the kind of life you see in movies not reality. Never again would she take advantage of her own life, or complain about how bad things were at the time. Because she still had it good. She could hear Faith's voice breaking as the tears rolled down her cheeks. Buffy laid beside of her on her side and wrapped an arm around her waist, urging her to finish.
"Well Fredric found me on the street and made me an offer. In exchange for room and board in his mansion I would train, and work for him. Which turned out to be illegal work. Mostly stealing. He had like twenty other girls living there, doing the same thing. We were all young, and runaways. At first it wasn't so bad, it was kinda cool actually. We learned how to fight, and use weapons. Then eventually how to be top notch thieves. We had masters of the trade as instructors, and soon we were better than James Bond, will all the secret agent type gadgets.
"He paired me with three other girls Chrissy, Missy and Justice. We soon were the strongest team there was. We started with small jobs, then it got bigger. Banks, jewelry stores, etc.. The part I'm skipping is how Fredric toyed with our emotions. One minute he would praise us, and the next scold us. The others didn't get it half as bad as me. I was the leader, and for some reason his favorite bitch. He too started with the beating and raping, but afterwards he said he was sorry and bought me things. Randy never did that so at the time I thought well he really must love me. Toward the end there I was hating it all, but I didn't think I had any choice but to continue. We were sent to Hollywood to do a diamond heist, and that's when it all came crumbling down."
Faith felt Buffy's warm hand gently tracing circles on her side "Justice fell for a guy we met along the way, and when I insisted we set him and his friend up she complied, but wasn't happy about it. We had them steal a monkey."
Faith couldn't help but to smiled when Buffy giggled "Anywho after we got the diamonds, Justice turned on us, and turned us in to save the dude's ass. Gun fire ensues, and then we're hauled off to jail. I made a break for it when they were transferring me to a prison in LA. That's when I saw an article about the museum here and the cross so I figured I'd come here and do one last job and retire. I should of known Fredric would find me. I really didn't know he was part demon. I am still puzzled by all that shit." Faith said finishing her story.
"Well I will explain all of that to you. God Faith I can't believe you went through all of that."
"Yeah that's life though." Faith shrugged still staring at the ceiling.
"That's not life Faith. You've been used and mistreated your whole life. I don't know how you're here today. I would of gave up a long time ago, but you kept fighting." Buffy said as her hand began rubbing up and down Faith's arm.
"Yeah B but I'm a criminal. Nobody actually forced me to steal. I'm worthless everyone always told me that."
"That's not true. Look at me Faith" Buffy lifted her chin so they were eye to eye. "You are a wonderful person. You saved my life, and you didn't have to. When I first met you I felt this like instant bond, and I knew you were somebody special."
She didn't want to believe it, but Buffy's eyes were so honest and true. "Thank you B, for everything."
"You're welcome and thank you for saving my ass." Buffy smiled.
"Yeah bullets are wicked painful. I figured I'd be dead by now." Said Faith.
"Yeah about that. Willow and Tara did a spell and made this witchy ointment stuff. It will make your injury heal in double time."
"Eh they're witches?" That explains the flying vamps Faith thought.
"Yeah good witches, Wiccan. Magic is very helpful in my line of work."
"About that. How exactly does one become a slayer?" Faith asked with raised rows.
"Ah get comfy here comes my story." Buffy said lying on her back.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Buffy had started out just telling Faith the basics about being the chosen one, but Faith was full of questions and so she ended up telling her pretty much every detail of her life. From her childhood, Angel and Riley, her mother's death, Dawn being the key, and a hell God, and her own deaths. She filled her in on all her friends past and present and the important parts they all played in her life. She told her about the countless demons she faced, and a million other things.
"Wow can't say you lead a boring life B" Faith commented.
"Oh yes the life of a slayer it's always a thrill" Buffy said in false excitement.
"Yanno you're one tough cookie Buffy Summers. You are the amazing one with more will power than I'll ever have."
Buffy smiled "Guess we're both kick ass gals huh?"
"You got that right" Faith laughed.
There was a knock at the door and then Tara stepped in. She smiled at the sight of the two lying together.
"How's the patient feeling?" She asked.
"Much better Dr. Blondie." Faith smirked.
"Good, you had us worried for a second there."
"Thank for doing the witchy stuff, you and red both."
"It was no problem. We made breakfast if you girls are hungry."
"Be down in a few thanks Tara." Buffy said.
Tara left the room and Buffy turned to Faith "I'll bring you some food up."
"No I'll go down and eat, besides I wanna thank everyone."
"Faith you need to stay in bed. That's a serious injury."
"I'm fine really. I hate to lay around, well except when a hot blonde is lying next to me, but these aren't quite the same circumstances I envisioned." She said with a wink.
Buffy felt the flush creep up her neck "Oh fine come on I'll help you downstairs."
After breakfast the group settled in the living room to watch cartoons. It was Saturday after all. Xander and Anya had joined them for breafkast so they were there as well. Buffy insisted Faith lay on the couch, or she was going to force her back to bed. So she laid there with her head in Buffy's lap. Something she could definitely get used to.
"Alright the smurfs!" Dawn yelled as the cartoon began.
"The smurfs rock." Xander chimed in.
"Yeah this is the old school cartoon shit right here." Faith said her eyes fixated on the screen.
"You guys are such kids, besides the care bears are the best cartoon ever." Buffy said rolling her eyes.
"You got to be kidding me B. Care bears are lame. The smurfs are the best. Come on they eat magical little berries, and I know the wiccans agree what with Gargamel and all."
Tara and Willow nodded their heads.
"Hey your posed to be on my side." Buffy pouted.
"Sorry Buf but magic yanno?" Willow said shyly.
"Cartoons are for children, let's watch adult films." All eyes turned to Anya.
"Speaking of which anyone ever wonder why there's only one female smurf?" Xander pondered.
"Bet she's loose." Faith chuckled.
"What that means?" Dawn asked.
Faith went to open her mouth and Buffy covered it with her hand "Nothing Dawn."
"So lil D how many boyfriends you got?" Faith asked.
She sighed "None right now. The guys I know are so lame. Spike's cute though I mean for a really old vampire."
"Takes after her sister I see. What's with you chics and vamps? Kill em don't screw em."
Everyone looked shocked and Xander couldn't stop his laugh. "Hey you're doing an ex demon big boy." Faith said and he suddenly stopped and coughed. Anya just smiled she liked her attitude.
CHAPTER EIGHT
A week had past and thanks to magical healing Faith was feeling much better. She was so tired of staying in bed. She had convinced Buffy to let her go out. So the whole gang met at a pizza joint for dinner. Everyone seemed to really like Faith which was a mystery to her. She felt like she finally had a place in the world. That place was Sunnydale. Her and Buffy had became a lot closer since they revealed their secrets to each other. When Buffy wasn't working or patroling she sat and talked with Faith. She had been sleeping with Dawn and let Faith take over her room.
"Jeez you have an appetite." Buffy smirked watching Faith down her 4th slice of pizza in a row.
"A girl gotta eat don't she?" Faith said wiping her mouth.
"How you keep that perfect figure is beyond me." Said Buffy.
Faith involuntarily blushed "Didn't know you were checking me out B."
This caused giggles from all her friends and sister. "What? No! It was a statement." Buffy blushed.
"Want some of this B?"
"Huh? No I said just a statement, I can see your body is fine, I don't need to touch it." Buffy said before she noticed the weird looks and Faith's grin as she held out a breadstick.
Insert foot into mouth Buffy. "Oh breadstick thanks." Buffy grabbed it and chewed quietly.
"No please don't make me do this. I am begging you." Faith pleaded.
"You are playing minature golf and that's the end of it." Said Buffy in a firm tone.
The first few holes were misery to Faith. Then she hated to admit it, but she was having major fun. She never did stuff like this when was a kid and being here being goofy with the gang made her feel like a child. She was even happier when she kicked everyone's ass and won.
"Ok guys I need to do a quick sweep so I'll meet ya'll at home," said Buffy as they exited.
"I'm with you B." Faith said with a smile.
"Oh no I don't want you to get hurt again."
"Come on I can kick some major ass. I wanna see the slayer in action, plus you don't want me walking alone to my motel do ya?"
"Motel? Why are you going there? I want you to stay at the house Faith, for as long as you want."
"Thanks B, but I'll still need to get my stuff and all."
"Oh ok fine but don't be hero girl again, or I'll kick your ass."
They walked in silence through the dark graveyard. Faith was about to speak when Buffy suddenly pushed her to the ground. "What the...oh" Faith said as she seen the vamp Buffy was fighting. Three more came out of nowhere and Faith was back on her feet.
"Come on suck boy, let's dance" Faith said doing a spinning kick to one of the vamps chest. Another grabbed her from behind and she flipped him over her back onto the dirt. Buffy just staked the first one and was going head to head with another. With a quick leg sweep, he went down and she staked him quick. She tossed Faith a stake and watched her dust the first one, before exchanging blows with the last one. She was ready to intervine when he socked Faith in the stomach, but Faith lashed out at him in full force. After a series of mind numbing blows she put the vamp out of his misery.
She turned to Buffy twirling the stake in her hand "Well that was wicked cool."
Buffy smiled "You're pretty damn good at fighting."
"Been fighting all my life B you don't survive on the streets if you don't."
"Don't worry you're fit in perfect in Sunnydale. Seems like every other week some big bad wants to end the world." Buffy sighed as they began walking.
"But you're always there to stop them." Faith smiled.
"Yeah I guess I am."
They reached the dingy motel and stepped into the small room. Buffy took a seat on the edge of the bed as Faith began packing her things up. "Yanno for someone who can go out and buy a new Harley you sure don't live in luxury." Buffy said looking around in disgust.
Faith chuckled "Low profile B."
"About that Faith. I have contacts in LA, and I'm gonna see if they can't do something about your arrest record."
"Oh yeah?" Faith looked at her.
"Yeah as in like make it dissappear" Buffy smiled.
"Thanks B I really do appreciate everything yanno."
"It's ok Faith it's the least I can do."
As Faith lugged the metal case out from under the bed and opened it Buffy's eyes went wide. "Geez full arsenol to go." Said Buffy.
"These are my toys, but I won't be needing them anymore. Designed most of these guns myself" Faith said with a hint of pride.
"Wow you're really good at that. I can umm widdle stakes."
Faith laughed "Yeah hey here this is for you" Faith said handing Buffy a gleaming gold crossbow.
"Wow" Buffy muttered taking it into her hands. It had remarkable craftmanship, nothing like the typical one's she had.
"Faith I... thank you so much."
"It's nothing B" Faith smiled as Buffy grabbed her into a tight embrace.
When she let go Faith had to take a deep breathe "I'm gonna hock the stuff I know you can't use. Then I should have enough to pay up a lease on a decent apartment."
"No Faith I told you, you can stay at the house."
"I appreciate that, but I'm better now and I ain't gonna keep taking ya bed and shit, besides I got some money stashed, it's not a lot but it will get me by for now."
"Faith I really want you to stay at my house. I like having you there, you're like part of the family now. We can share my room, if you're okay with that and we can work on the basement for your own room."
Did she just say family? Wow I've never felt like part of a real family before. Plus sharing a room? I'm assuming that means we'll be sharing a bed. I'd be stupid to pass up that chance, but then again being so close and not being able to do anything is gonna drive me insane. Fuck I get wet everytime she smiles at me. Oh well fuck it I can handle it.
"Ok B but I'll pay you rent, no objections alright?"
"Alright Faith."
CHAPTER NINE
They arrived back at the house and were greeted by Dawn, Willow and Tara in the living room. "What's up?" Asked Faith taking her boots off and making her way to the couch.
"We're about to watch a movie" Tara said.
"Cool is it horror? Action?" Faith got comfy.
"Romance and comedy" Dawn piped in.
"Ugh" Faith moaned.
"Hey love is beautiful" said Willow cuddling up with Tara on the love seat.
"Love equals blah" Buffy said flopping down beside Faith.
"Oh hush and watch the movie" said Dawn stretching out on the floor.
They looked at each other and shrugged. Buffy grabbed the blanket off the back of the couch and curled in close to Faith, as she threw it over them both. Half way into the movie Buffy had managed to get closer, practically on top of Faith. Faith was all too aware of B's warm breath against her neck where her head laid. Buffy had placed her hand on her thigh, and she had no idea of the effect it was having on Faith. She was already worked up after the fight earlier. She grabbed a bag of chips off the table and began munching. Everyone's eyes were on her now.
"What?" She said with a full mouth.
"Could you crunch any louder?" Willow asked.
"How you can even eat after all that pizza earlier is beside me" Dawn shook her head.
"It's the slaying, funny how it makes you hungry and horny."
Buffy gasped and eyes went wide.
"Come on Red don't it get ya all worked up?" Faith asked with a grin.
"N..no no working up" Willow stammered.
"That explains why's Buffy's always flushed" Dawn giggled and recieved a cold glare from her sis.
"All that pent up sexual tension, you gotta release that shit B, it ain't healthy" Faith grinned "I mean if you need a hand...well I got two of em." She wiggled her brows and Buffy turned three shades of red as Tara coughed and Dawn giggled.
"You just love to embarass me don't you?" Buffy asked.
"Why B you're such an easy target, I can't help myself" Faith snickered.
Maybe that was the case, or maybe she hoped Buffy would one day see through her innuendos. The movie was over and Buffy excused herself to take a shower. Dawn was hooking something to the tv and Faith's eyes lit up.
"Shit is that a playstation 2?" She asked.
"Uh huh you wanna play?" Dawn smiled brightly.
"Hell yeah" Faith jumped to the floor and the battle began.
"I kicked your ass" Faith gloated.
"Whatever you got lucky Faithy" Dawn said stomping up the stairs.
"Take ya for a ride on the Harley tomorrow if you want" Faith yelled.
Dawn turned around with a smile "Alright!" she said hopping up to her room.
Faith was smiling as she joined the witches in the kitchen.
"Hey Faith" Tara smiled.
"Hey blondie" Faith said taking a seat.
"You know your aura had changed so much in the last week" Tara commented.
"Huh!?" Faith asked.
"She can kinda see people's aura's sometimes" Willow said placing a kiss on Tara's cheek.
They were so sweet together. Faith secretly wanted what they had. "So this aura changing is that good or bad?"
"Oh it's very good. It was pretty dark at first but it's so vivid now, like you're happy, especially around Buffy" Tara said quickly.
"Oh umm yeah B is cool" said Faith.
"Can I ask you something?" Tara asked getting a glare from Willow who knew the question.
"Shoot" Faith simply replied.
"Do you uh well do you like Buffy? I mean in a romantic sense."
Faith blushed as her mouth opened but nothing came out. "I uh shit, is it that easy to tell?"
"Kinda yeah" Willow laughed.
"Look I know she's straight, and besides she'd never have someone like me, but I can't help it. She's just so amazing you know? I mean she's fucking perfect. Funny, caring, beautiful" Faith sighed and realized she was babbling. "Sorry."
"Don't be and that is so sweet" Tara cooed.
"Listen Buffy has been my best friend for a long time, and I know she's into guys, but Buffy is open minded, and I can tell she does care for you. I don't know how much and I don't think she does either, but you make her happy. She's been much more chipper since you arrived" Willow smiled at that.
"I...I just don't know what to do. I mean I'm falling in love with her and I've never been in love before, and my first time just has to be with someone who can't return the feelings" Faith sighed.
"Just give it time and see okay? If she doesn't want to go that route with you, she'll still be your friend" Tara said.
"Thanks guys and please don't tell her okay? I don't want her to know."
"Ok we promise." They both said.
"What's up guys?" Buffy asked coming into the kitchen.
"Oh just chit chatting" Willow said with a grin.
Buffy raised an eyebrow "Wouldn't happen to be talking about me would ya?"
"Uh course not" said Willow.
Buffy just laughed. In reality she had just heard Faith's whole confession. Which shocked the hell out of her. She really had no idea Faith felt that way towards her. She just assumed she was a flirt, but then she hadn't seen her flirt with anyone else. Buffy didn't like girls though. No she was strictly a man lover, but why did her heart flutter when she heard Faith saying those things? Ok she had to admit Faith was beautiful, and so much fun to be around. Not to mention she opened up to Buffy and saved her life. All the thoughts were too confusing so she'd just pretend like she didn't know and eventually Faith would realize it's just a friendship thing.
After everyone had said goodnight they went to turn in for the evening. Buffy laid in the bed as Faith showered, still thinking of what she heard the girl saying earlier. When Faith returned to the room in boxers and a tank top she slowly slid into the bed, lying as far away from Buffy as she could.
"I don't bite you know."
"Huh?" Faith looked at her.
"Faith you're practically falling off the bed. If this makes you uncomfortable I'll take the couch."
"No..no I'm comfy" Faith scooted closer "See?" She smiled but was dying inside just by feeling Buffy's body heat. The warmth was radiating off of her perfect skin.
"Goodnight Faith" Buffy whispered.
"Night Buffy."
Buffy was sound asleep within a few minutes. Faith just stared at her, taking in all of her beautiful features. Her new favorite sound was that of Buffy's breathing while she slept. Faith couldn't help herself she moved in closer behind her and wrapped an arm around her waist. Her head resting against Buffy's shoulder. She placed a small kiss on her soft neck, and inhaled the scent that was uniquely Buffy Summers. Kinda like vanilla, mixed in with the natural flavor of her skin. It dawned on Faith that she had never laid like this with someone before. Typically when another person shared her bed it was for one reason. Sex, hot dirty sex. No not even sex it was a fuck. Then they would be gone by the morning. That's the way she always wanted it though. She never loved any of them. In fact Faith never even had a real relationship. The only lover she had more than once, was well a collegue. Chrissy and her had fucked plenty of times while working together. But then again Chrissy fucked all the girls.
Before Faith came here she played the part of a cold hearted bitch, and she really believed that's who she was. She never loved, or showed affection, but now she didn't really want to be that person anymore. It's like out of nowhere all these emotions were coming to the surface. Emotions she was taught long ago to hide. Around Buffy though she didn't want to hide them. She didn't want Buffy to know the person she was.
Yes she had told her about her past, and she still accepted her. She didn't know how Faith acted though. Faith even tried to tone down her swearing. She never wanted Buffy to see how she acted around Chrissy and the rest of the gang. She finally gave up her thoughts and with a deep sigh she closed her eyes, and went to sleep.
CHAPTER TEN
Buffy awoke to the sound of her alarm going off. She sleepily threw her hand to the night table and turned it off. She went to get up only to realize an arm was wrapped tightly around her. She rolled over and was facing a sleeping Faith. Buffy smiled and on instinct ran her fingers through Faith's silky hair. Why do I feel safe and happy right now? I haven't woke up in someone's arms in so long, maybe that's it. She sighed letting her fingertips run down Faith's cheek, and then over her soft lips. She finally pulled her hand away. I don't know what's gotten into me. I am straight damn it. With that she quietly eased out of Faith's hold and rolled out of bed to get ready for work.
When she was dressed she came down and into the kitchen where she sat down sipping her coffee. Willow came in the room and joined her shortly after.
"Morning Buffy." She beamed.
"Mornin Will."
"Did you sleep okay? I mean with sharing a bed and all?" Will asked.
"Yeah I did actually, better than I have in a long time."
"Ohh that is good. That Faith is such a nice girl huh?"
"Drop the act Will I heard your convestion last night."
"Huh? Conversation...what conversation?" Willow played dumb.
"The one where Faith told you she has more than friendly feelings for me."
"Oh that talk.....well since you know I mean how do you feel? I know you like guys but so did I and check me out."
Buffy smiled "I know and you know I am not against the thought of two women together. It's just that I never thought about it myself."
"Well ok, but answer me this. What do you think about Faith? I mean how do you feel when you're around her. Any attraction at all?"
Buffy took a deep breathe and thought before speaking "I feel happy, and safe when she's around. She's so different from anyone I know. I mean she's unique, and has so many good qualities about her. I mean she had a bad life Will, I didn't even tell you the half of it, and she survived. She's so strong and intelligent, and damn she's so much fun to be around. I do think she's attractive, ok she's beautiful. I got eyes I can see that. I'm confused though, like what if she kissed me or something and I felt nothing, then the friendship would be ruined and I don't want that."
Willow placed her hand over Buffy's "Trust me I know how confusing it is. Just give it time. Spend time together and see if the feelings come."
"Yeah I guess we're just wait and see. Don't tell her I know though ok? I don't want her to get her hopes up, cause I really don't think it's gonna happen."
Willow nodded "I won't Buffy."
Hours later a still groggy but fully dressed Faith stumbled down the stairs. "Hey squirt," she called out to Dawn who was engrossed in the tv.
"Hey lazy," she threw back, eyes not leaving the screen.
Faith made her way into the kitchen where Willow had the table covered with countless bills and a small calculater. She looked aggervated as hell.
"Hey Red what's all this?"
"This is all Buffy's bills. I just don't know what we're going to do." Willow sighed slamming down another stack of envelopes.
"Is it that bad?" Faith sat and began through the piles.
"Well there's so many. Insurance, utilities, old hospital bills, and so forth. Ugh Buffy's job just doesn't pay that much, and me and Tara help, but we don't have jobs. I guess maybe we should."
"Nah I'm sure it will all be fine Red."
"I wish I could be that positive."
Faith smiled "Trust me it'll all be ok."
"Willow ready to go?" Tara asked stepping into the doorway.
"Yes honey." She said getting up "We're going to the magic box, you wanna come with?"
"Nah I'm cool. Me and Dawn can hang. I'll clean this up for ya, you just go ahead."
"Thanks Faith." Said the departing redhead.
Faith looked at the numbers on the calculator. She didn't have that much cash. Wait she could get it though. Yeah it's time she did the right thing for once, and help someone besides herself. She gathered up all the bills and slid them into her jacket pocket.
"Dawn I got some stuff to do you wanna come with me?"
"Sure, can we ride the Harley?" Dawn perked up.
"Yep, but we're gonna be walking back home."
"Huh? What's that mean?"
"That means I'm selling the bike, come on let's roll" Faith said walking outside.
"Why are you selling it?" Dawn asked getting on the bike.
"Because you guys got a lot of bills, and your sister is working her ass off, I just want to help."
"Faith you don't have to do that, Buffy won't want you to."
"I want to Dawn."
Dawn was even more impressed with Faith now. She couldn't believe she was selling her bike, and hocking off those cool guns and things just to help them. She had an idea that Faith liked her sister a lot. It was so easy to see.
Once they were done with the selling they dropped by the post office and Faith mailed in all the now paid off bills. She had even managed to get a job at the car dealership, and she wasn't even trying. She had never had a real job before. The owner was impressed with her bargaining skills and figured she could easily push the car sales. She told them to give her a week before she started, that way maybe she could have her record cleared up and not worry about being caught. Now they were headed to the Doublemeat Palace where Buffy was working.
"Hey B" Faith smiled at Buffy in her little uniform.
"Faith, Dawn what are you guys doing here?"
"Just came to visit you."
"Oh I can't really talk now though."
"Summers no time to chat with your girlfriend, you got paying customers to wait on." The pimple faced manager instructed.
"Who does he think he is? He can't talk to you like that." Faith said her face scrunching in anger.
"He's my boss, so yes he can." Buffy sighed and shrugged her shoulders.
"Summers move it now or you're fired!" He yelled again.
Buffy shrugged and mouthed a sorry before moving over to take a customer's order.
"Fired aww no fuck that" Faith leaped over the counter and pinned the now scared guy to the wall.
"You don't talk to her like she's beneath you, because while you're working fast food for the rest of your life, Buffy is gonna be getting a college degree, and some kick ass job with her own office and shit."
"Faith!" Buffy grabbed her and pulled her off the guy.
Dawn stood there with an open mouth "Go Faith!" She encouraged.
"That's it Summers you're fired. Take your dyke girlfriend and get outta here!"
Faith went to swing at him but Buffy grabbed her arm and began pulling her out the door, leaving wide eyed customers in their wake.
"You can't fire her cuz she quits jackass!" Faith stated before being drug outside and around the corner.
Buffy let go of her and stood before her now. Hands on her hips and a pissed off expression on her face.
"Why the hell did you do that Faith?"
"Because B you don't deserve to be treated like shit, you don't need that job, you need to concentrate on school."
Buffy huffed "First off I can't afford to return to college, nor do I have the time because I have to work to pay off all the bills, and now I have no job to do that with thanks to you."
Faith pulled an envelope out of her pocket and handed it to Buffy. Written in bold letters on it was B's college fund. Buffy looked at it for a moment. "What's this?"
"It's exactly what it says B. So no more excuses you are going back to college."
Buffy peered inside at the stack of hundred dollar bills. "How did you? I mean did you..."
"Steal it?" Faith's face showed the hurt "No I didn't."
"She sold the Harley Buffy, and guns and stuff, and she paid off all of our bills." Dawn finally spoke up.
"What? Faith you love that bike." Buffy said in disbelief.
"Not as much as I love you." It slipped "I mean I care about you...all of you. It's the least I can do. You mean more than some chrome and wheels. Just accept it B please. I even got a job at the car place, so you don't hafta work. From now on I'll handle the expenses."
Buffy was in shock. Faith paid off all their debts, and was now offering to work and take care of all their bills, while she went back to school. She had known this girl a little over a week. She really must care for her as much as she said she did. She couldn't allow her to do this though. It wouldn't be right.
"Faith I refuse to let you pay for me and Dawn's stuff. That isn't right. I appreciate what you've done, but I'll pay you back I swear."
"You really want to pay me back Buffy? You do one thing for me and we're even okay?" Faith slowly let a grin spread across her face.
"Uh okay what's that Faith?" Buffy hesitantly asked.
"Let me take you out tonight. I think you deserve an evening of dinner and dancing."
Buffy smiled "Are you asking me on a date Faith?"
"Uh..well..I mean I know you don't uh..."
"If you're asking then the answer is yes."
CHAPTER 11
Faith had big plans for the evening. This was her first shot at being romantic and she hoped she was doing it right. She couldn't believe Buffy actually agreed to go on a date with her, but then again she just trying to be nice. Still she wanted to show her a really good time. Tonight she would be treated like the goddess that she is.
Willow, Tara, and Dawn had all been estactic earlier about the date. They had all wished Faith luck before they took off to Xander and Anya's place for a movie night. Everyone was enjoying the quietness of the hellmouth, and taking full advantage of it.
So here sat Faith on the couch waiting for Buffy to come down. Faith had decided on a short black skirt, and a black lacy top, with a matching choker around her sleek neck. Her natural wavy hair framed her face, which was without the dark, heavy makeup she usually wore. Instead natural colors covered her eliquette features.
She was really nervous and she wasn't used to the feeling. She had noticed she began fidgetting a good ten minutes ago. All she wanted was for this night to be perfect. Then all thought's ceased when her eyes caught sight of the gorgeous blonde coming down the staircase. Her heart seemed to skip a couple of beats as she stared at her. Buffy had on a baby blue dress, that clung to each curve perfectly. Her matching sandles strapped around her perfect feet, and her hair was up with a few strands hanging down. She looked stunning. No other word could describe it.
"Hi" Buffy said once she stood in front of Faith.
"Hi there..Buffy you look stunning, very beautiful." Faith said trying to hide the shakiness in her voice.
"Thank you Faith and you looked amazing yourself." Buffy smiled.
"So madam are you ready for your evening on the town?" Faith cocked her head and grinned.
"Lead the way." Buffy said excited to see what the night had in store.
They took Buffy's jeep and Faith did the driving. Seeing how Buffy had no idea where they were going. When Faith pulled to a stop Buffy's eyes went wide. They were at one of the fanciest restraunts in town. Buffy had always dreamed of coming here, but with her salary it was fast food and pizza joints. Faith hopped out and opened Buffy's door for her before leading her into the restaurant.
The waiter led them to the back where a table was waiting for them. They were the only people seated back there, and the lights were dim with candle's lit upon the table, and soft music playing in the background. It was just as Faith had requested.
"Wow Faith this place is amazing." Buffy said once they were seated.
"Yeah it's pretty nice isn't it." Faith replied.
"You sure know how to take a girl out." Buffy smiled.
"I want this evening to be fun for you Buffy, I really hope you enjoy it." Faith said.
"I'm with you Faith I know I will enjoy myself."
They ate their dinner in silence, just enjoying each other's company. Faith didn't really want to speak and ruin the moment. After dessert they sat for a few moments longer and made casual conversation. Neither talking about what this date meant.
After the dinner they were back in the car again and heading somewhere else. Buffy couldn't stop herself from sneaking small glances at Faith as she drove. Faith had really surprised her with the fancy dinner, and she had a feeling she was behind the romantic privacy they had. It had been so long since she had actually been out on a date, and a date with another girl? Well that was a big never for her. So far it was wonderful though, and she couldn't wait to see what else Faith had planned.
Faith smiled at Buffy when she glanced over and caught her looking at her. Buffy returned the smile and quickly faced forward again. Faith felt like the luckiest woman on earth at this moment. Just being here with Buffy by her side, that's all that mattered right now. So far she hadn't screwed things up either. She flipped on the turn signal, and took a left. She pulled onto a old dirt road and drove a couple miles further before stopping. She killed the ignition as her and Buffy stepped out of the vehicle.
Buffy looked around at the scenery. The sight simply took her breathe away. They were at a remote spot on some beach Buffy had never been to. Nobody else was anywhere around. The sky was dark with bright stars gleaming about around the half moon. A large boulder sat upon the white sands, where the blue ocean waves crashed upon.
"Wow this place is beautiful." Buffy said turning towards Faith.
"Yeah it is. Remind me to thank Tara." Faith smiled "She told me about this place, seeing as I don't really know many places around here."
"Well this is awesome. Let's go sit on the rock." Buffy said taking Faith's hand in her own as they strolled down the beach together.
They both took a seat on the large boulder, taking their shoes off and letting their feet dangle in the cool water below. The slight breeze felt good against their skin. Faith leaned back against the rock, putting her arms beneath her head and staring up at the Heaven's.
Buffy laid back as well, and in the process managed to get closer to Faith. Their elbows were touching from the position they were in. "Soo.." Buffy started.
"Soo..Nice night huh?" Faith asked then mentally slapped herself.
Buffy giggled "Yeah it is actually."
"It's so peaceful here. I feel so relaxed right now just basking in the moonlight." Faith said staring above.
"I know what you mean. It's nice to just have some peace and quiet for once. I'm glad you brought me here."
"Thanks for coming with me...I mean tonight. It means a lot to me."
"I love spending time with you Faith. Being around you is so different than being with the others. Don't get me wrong I love hanging with the gang, but with you it's not all about demons and vampires."
Faith smiled as she looked at Buffy "I just wanted to tell you that in this short amount of time that I've known you, it's been the best time of my life. I know that sounds cheesy but I've never been real around anyone yanno? I mean for the last few years the only friends I've had were my gang, and well let's just say they're nothing like your friends. I played a part with them B. I was a totally different person a month ago. A person you wouldn't of liked, and being a good person is new to me, but I'm really trying here, and I can't thank you enough for giving me a chance."
"Faith I don't care who you were, or who you pretended to be. It's your past, and your future is here. I mean trust me I've done a lot of things in my past I'm not proud of as well. We all make mistakes, but you are a good person. Life hasn't been fair to you. You've been more than nice to me. I mean I can't believe you paid off my bills, and gave me money for college. I feel really bad that you did, but at the same time it's the nicest thing anyone has ever done to me. Thank you so much Faith, and I will pay you back eventually."
Faith turned on her side so she was facing the small blonde. "You have paid me back B. This was the payback remember?"
"No Faith tonight wasn't about payback. I didn't agree to go out with you because of what you did. I love being near you, it's as simple as that." Buffy said facing her now.
"Thanks B." Faith felt good hearing Buffy say that. She likes being near me!
"Oh and by the way your police record vanished." Buffy grinned "So now you have no worries about hiding."
Faith hugged Buffy tightly without thinking "Thanks so much. Now I can definitely take that job at the car dealership."
"You selling used cars, now that should be interesting." Buffy said with a half grin. "By the way I am not letting you support me. I will get another job, and squeeze classes in."
"Oh no Miss Summers. You will concentrate on school, plus you got the slaying gig to worry about. There's no need to overload yourself. Look Buffy I'm crashing at your pad, so the least I can do is pay the bills okay. I mean Willow and Tara help, so it'll be the same if I pay or you do. Yanno what I mean? It's still split so it's no biggy. I'd have to pay it the same anywhere else."
"You are so amazing you know that right? Seriously Faith you are the sweetest person I've ever met."
Faith blushed. Nobody ever told her that before. "I'm not sweet, I'm badass ok."
"Umm hmm you can let others think that, but I see the real you babe."
"That's the thing. For the first time in my life I like being myself around somone...you. You are a wonderful person, and I am so thankful I met you."
"That makes two of us."
The next few minutes were filled with silence as they laid there staring into each other eyes. Faith peered down at those sweet, pouty lips of Buffy's. She wanted nothing more than to lean over, and close that gap between them. She desperatly wanted to place her lips upon hers, yet she was too scared to attempt it. In one quick movement she was on her feet. With a confused Buffy in tow.
"Is something wrong Faith?" Buffy asked now at her side.
"No..no B everything is great..five by five." Faith smiled at her.
"Faith were you going to kiss me just now?" Why Buffy asked was beyond her.
Faith spun around and faced her "Uh well the thought crossed my mind, that's why I got up. It was too tempting looking into your eyes, gazing upon your beautiful face, I'm sorry" Faith looked down at the sand.
"Don't be" Buffy said gently raising Faith's chin so she was looking into her eyes again.
Buffy took a step closer to Faith and placed her lips upon hers. It took Faith a moment to get over her shock and respond. Buffy's hand softly trailed down Faith's cheek, and neck before she wrapped her arms around her. The kiss was soft and slow at first. Faith decided to take the next step and deepen the kiss. She ran her tongue along Buffy's bottom lip, and the blonde's mouth opened to grant it access. Faith's arms wrapped around Buffy's waist pulling her closer into her body. Her tongue intertwined with Buffy's. She was expertly exploring every inch of her mouth. She loved the taste, the feel. As she sucked her tongue into her own mouth, she heard a small moan escape Buffy's lips and it nearly drove her insane.
The kiss was filled with passion now. Faith knew if she didn't stop now, then she would never stop. Plus the whole breathing thing was becoming a factor. Slowly she pulled away and stared at Buffy. A smile upon both their faces, as Faith ran her fingertips along Buffy's cheek, pushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"That was...Wow" is all Buffy could say.
"Yeah that was amazing." Faith breathed heavily.
No more words were spoken as they took each other's hand and began to walk across the soft sand under the moonlight. It was like a fantasy. Buffy had been afraid that if she kissed Faith she would feel nothing, but she was so wrong. When her lips met Faith's she felt warm all over, she felt true passion like she had never felt it before. It felt so right. At that moment she decided to no longer deny the feelings that had been building up since the day she met Faith. She wouldn't lie to herself anymore. She was falling in love with this beautiful woman. She was falling in love with Faith.
CHAPTER 12
Notes: So the date went well huh? Yep just when everything seems to be going well...an old face shows up. :|
Faith couldn't ever remember being this happy. The night's events replayed themselves in her mind. Everything had went perfectly. She hadn't fucked anything up. A smile spread across her face as she remembered the kiss. In those few minutes that they were locked together, the world seemed to stand still. It felt even better than she had imagined. What shocked her the most was the fact that Buffy had made the first move. She had wanted to so badly, but she was afraid that B would freak. Maybe Buffy had feelings for her too. They would eventually discuss it she was sure.
Once they were back at home, they walked up the drive together, as Buffy pushed the door open all Faith could think was this was the perfect night. Nothing could ever ruin this night she said to herself as she stepped in after Buffy. Then she saw the familiar blonde sitting there in a chair in the living room. Faith's eyes went wide and she gasped. Nothing could ruin this night except her. Willow, Tara, and Dawn sat on the couch and Buffy gave them a look as if asking who is this?
The girl stood and inched towards Faith who stood stock still in the hallway. "Faith" the girl purred.
"Chrissy" Faith said in a daze.
Willow shrugged as Buffy again gave her a questioning look.
"Faith you don't look happy to see me. That's no way to greet an old friend." The girl grinned and ran her hand down Faith's arm.
"How did you find me?" Faith asked slapping her hand away.
"I have my ways baby."
"Why aren't you in jail?"
"Why aren't you?" The girl raised an eyebrow but Faith didn't answer.
Chrissy leaned in whispering in Faith's ear "Nice setup you got here. So tell me are you just fucking the little blonde or all of them?" She asked flicking her tongue against her earlobe.
Faith pushed her away "Fuck you C."
"Oh still the same Faith I see. Glad suburbia didn't change ya."
"Faith? Aren't you going to introduce us?" Buffy asked slightly jealous of the mysterious newcomer.
"Buffy this is Chrissy." Faith said with a sigh.
"Oh" Buffy muttered recalling the girl's name from Faith's story of her life.
"Can you excuse us for a minute?" Faith said grabbing Chrissy's arm and pulling her out the door and onto the porch.
"Ok what gives Chrissy. Why did you track me down?"
"Chill Faith. Justice and Missy are done with everything. I also hear you killed Fredric. Nice move by the way. So we're the only one's left."
"No I'm out Chrissy, I'm trying to do the straight and narrow thing here."
Chrissy chuckled "You're anything but straight dear."
Faith just rolled her eyes "Seriously I got a good thing going here. I have a decent life for once. I found my place in the world."
Chrissy laughed and wrinkled her nose in disgust "Oh please, we both know this ain't your thing. You're a bad girl through and through. This small town can't hold you. Your place is with me. Together we are unstoppable. I got a couple of jobs lined up for us. I'm talking about the big time money baby."
"No I got a job okay. I don't want to be a thief anymore."
"What's with you? Have these freaks brainwashed you? It's that little blonde bitch isn't it? Shit is it that good?"
"Don't you ever call her a bitch again, or I'll slit your fucking throat!" Faith said clenching her fists together.
"Ohh protective Faith. That's a new one. Well let me ask you this. Does she know who you really are huh?"
"Yes she does. I told her about everything, and she was there when I killed Fredric."
"Yeah but does she know what a slut you are? Huh? Does she know how you like it fast and rough? She looks a little too vanilla for your kinky ass."
"I'm not fucking her okay?"
Chrissy laughed "Yeah figures she looks too straight. So what's keeping you here then? You know it's been awhile what do you say we get nasty baby?"
"Go fuck yourself I'm not interested." Faith snarled.
"Ohh you know you like it. Nobody can fuck you like I can." Chrissy said leaning against the rail lighting a cigarette.
Faith grabbed a cigarette from her and lit it. She took a long drag letting the nicotine seep back into her system. She hadn't smoked once since she had been staying with Buffy. Old habits die hard. All of them. Suddenly she had a craving for hard liquor and a hot fuck. This was the old Faith. This was the Faith around Chrissy.
"Yanno I seen a club downtown you wanna go have a drink? Just for old time's sake Faith. I won't mention any jobs." Chrissy said with a smile.
"Yeah I guess one drink couldn't hurt. Just wait here I'll go get my jacket." Faith said flipping the cigarette and heading towards the door.
CHAPTER 13
Buffy paced her bedroom back and forth, over and over again. She had been doing this for the past two hours. Faith had came back in from her talk outside and grabbed her jacket. She said she was going to the Bronze to have a drink and talk with Chrissy. She was after all a part of Faith's life before Sunnydale. Buffy gave her best fake smile and told her to go and have fun. If Faith had changed maybe Chrissy had too. Yet she didn't trust the girl. No she didn't like her at all. Some may call it jealousy just as Dawn had put it, but Buffy called it being careful. Faith had turned over a new leaf here, and she didn't want her falling back into old ways. Granted she hadn't ever seen her around Chrissy, she just knew the girl was wild.
Then a thought crossed Buffy's mind. What if they weren't just friends, weren't just partners in crime. What if they were lovers? Buffy's heart seemed to sink deep within the confines of her chest. The way the girl was looking at Faith. It was like a lion eyeing a steak. Faith liked her though right? I mean they had their first date tonight, a date that was perfect up until they arrived back home. They shared a kiss. Buffy touched her fingers to her lips hoping to still feel Faith there. She was finally ready to admit her feelings and bam this bitch comes out of the woodwork. Grr that's it. I'm going to stake something!
Buffy quickly changed clothes and headed out hoping to find some vampire bastards to kick their asses. She needed to get her mind off of Faith. She couldn't think about what her and that tramp might be doing right now. Besides was Faith really capable of that? I mean she liked Buffy. She admitted she did. Yet Faith had told her about her many conquests and being a get some get gone girl. Could she really change?
Faith leaned back in the booth. Her head was fuzzy from the large amount of alchohal she had downed. She lost count after the fifth shot of vodka. At the moment she was nursing a cold beer, and puffing on her fast burning cigarette. It had been awhile since she drank. Her buzz was quickly turning into drunkeness. Chrissy pulled her out of the booth and onto the dance floor. She was too wasted to protest.
A few songs later and Chrissy was pulling Faith out the door. Faith's head was spinning as she was pulled into the alleyway. She leaned back against the wall and lit another cigarette. She missed the nicotine and liquor. Chrissy was leaning near her with a bottle of tequila in hand. Faith grabbed it and took a big swig. Squinting her eyes at the burning in her throat.
"I missed this Faith. Me, and you. We're party girls" Chrissy said.
"Hmm yeah party" Faith slurred.
"Leave with me Faith. We're go somewhere and live the wild life. What do ya say? Mexico, Florida, you name it." Chrissy said.
"I told you I'm happy here." Faith said.
"I bet she can't make you feel like I do baby." Chrissy said pressing her body into Faith's. "I know how you like it." She slid her hand under Faith's skirt "Let me refresh your memory of how good we are together." She said as her hand cupped Faith's sex.
Faith grunted and instinctively pressed herself into her hand. Then suddenly the drunkeness seemed to all but dissappear as Buffy's face popped into her mind. Shit wait it wasn't in her mind. She was here. Fuck Buffy was standing there staring at her with wide eyes and mouth gaped open. Faith dropped the bottle of tequila to the ground where it shattered, and she pushed Chrissy roughly away from her.
"Buffy what are you doing here?" Faith asked pushing off the wall.
"I..I'm sorry I was just patrolling and thought I'd see if you were still here. I'm sorry I'll go" Buffy managed to say as her heart shattered like the glass bottle.
"No wait B, it wasn't what it looked like." Faith quickly said.
Buffy just nodded her head "It's not like it's any of my business anyway Faith. You two have fun."
"Buffy please wait." Faith ran towards the retreating slayer.
"What?" Buffy asked spinning around to face her.
"I ...I just uh shit!" Faith stuttered "Please don't be mad at me."
"Why would I be mad Faith? You're a big girl you can do what you want to do. If you want to go out and get drunk fine do it! If you wanna kill yourself with that cancer stick be my guest! If you want to get fucked in an alley by some slut by all means go for it! If this is the life you want Faith, then live it." Buffy finished her stream of sarcasm and bitterness.
Faith blinked several times as her words seeped in "Why are you being like that? This is me Buffy. This is who I am. You haven't seen the half of it." Faith laughed harshly.
"No you're wrong. This isn't the real you. Remember you told me earlier you were real when you were with me, not her. You're just acting like this because she's here. Faith don't go that route again."
"Listen miss goody goody you don't know Faith like I do." Chrissy moved forward.
"Oh please I've known her a little over a week and I know her better than you ever did!" Buffy shouted.
"She just played with your mind honey. Faith don't go for girls like you, unless it's a game. She likes rough, tough women." Chrissy said with hands on her hips.
"Shut up Chrissy." Faith glared at her.
"No, tell her how you really are Faith. Tell her about how you fuck people just to hurt them."
"Shut up! I'm not like that anymore." Faith got defensive, not wanting Buffy to think of her as a bad person, but fearing it was already too late.
"You never change Faith. Don't lie to yourself. Forget this bitch and let's get out of here." Chrissy said.
The only sound that was heard next was Faith's fist connecting with Chrissy's jaw. The blonde stumbled backwards and fell to the wet cement below. Before she could move, Faith was on top of her with her hands around her neck. Her nails dug into the skin as she choked her. Chrissy's eyes were wide with panic, as her breathing became shallow.
"I told you not to call her a bitch." Faith growled.
"Faith stop it! Let her go." Buffy rushed up and pulled Faith off the girl who began immediately coughing.
"I'm sorry." Faith whispered as Buffy let her go.
"It's ok. Come on let's go home Faith please." Buffy said.
"You don't wanna go with her Faith." Chrissy said now back on her feet.
"You don't know what she wants!" Buffy yelled getting more upset.
"She wants to be with me. She wants to be where the action is." Chrissy said pushing Buffy.
"Don't ever touch me, or so help me God I will kick your ass." Buffy threatened.
Chrissy snorted "Yeah right honey you can't take me. Come on Faith let's go." She grabbed Faith's arm.
Buffy pushed her away from Faith and Chrissy threw a punch at Buffy which was easily blocked. Buffy retaliated with a high kick to the chest, causing the girl to once again fall to the ground below. She was more in shock than pain. Who knew the little girl had that in her.
Buffy hunched over her "Now listen up! Faith is doing good here. She's with people who care about her. She doesn't need you in her life to screw things up again. I want you out of my town and if I ever see your face here again, I swear I will kill you if I have to."
"It's Faith's choice, not yours. If Faith tells me to leave then fine I will go." Chrissy said getting to her feet.
Two sets of eyes fell on Faith. She stood there shifting from foot to foot. There was Chrissy. Someone who she had known and worked with for years. Someone who she had fucked on many occasions. Yet Chrissy wasn't a good person, and she never would be. She got off on the crime. Then there was Buffy. Sweet, beautiful, woman of Faith's dreams Buffy. The woman who had accepted her for who she was. The only person in this world Faith had ever loved. So there you have it. A wild life of sex, booze, and criminal activities, or a semi-normal life, as normal as one can be with a vampire slayer.
"Buffy is it okay if I go back to your house?" Faith asked timidly.
Buffy held back the smile that was coming "No Faith."
Faith's head dropped down, and she fought back the tears that threatened to spill. She had blown it. "But you can come back to OUR house." Buffy said.
Faith's head jerked up and a 100 watt smile covered her face "Thanks B."
Chrissy just shook her head as Faith turned and told her goodbye, then she walked away with Buffy. They were going home.
CHAPTER 14
Faith stumbled up the stairs once they arrived back at the house. She was going to take a cold shower, and hopefully kill off the rest of her buzz, and the feel of Chrissy on her body. She had probably blown any chance there was with Buffy. Great going dumb ass! She really hated herself right now for even being tempted to go back to her old ways. Truth be told she couldn't of left with Chrissy. She knew all she would of thought about was Buffy, and would eventually have to return anyways.
Buffy was thankful everyone was already asleep when they arrived home. As Faith took a shower, she stripped off her clothes, and put on her pajama's and then crawled into bed. She rubbed her temples with her small hands and stared at the ceiling. She was thankful Faith chose her over Chrissy, but she still couldn't shake the images of that tramp's hand up Faith's skirt. Perhaps it was jealousy, because she thought she had Faith's love, yet someone else had her body. Maybe it was envy, because she wished it was her hand there.
Yeah like she'd even know what to do with it. Maybe that was Faith's type of girl. Yet she was drunk. That was easy to see. Her chain of thought stopped when Faith came into the room.
"Hey B." Faith said timidly.
"Hey" Buffy replied.
"Can we talk?" Faith asked.
"Sure I think that's a good idea."
Faith took a seat next to Buffy on the bed and pulled her legs to her chest. She looked like a frightened child. "I..I um just want to apoligize for tonight."
"There's no need to Faith. You can make your own decisions."
"That's not what I mean. Look I had such a great time with you tonight. Buffy I need to tell you something, the way I feel about you. It's so much more than friendship." Faith turned her head ashamed.
"I know Faith. I heard you talking to Willow and Tara the other night."
"Oh" Faith muttered slightly embarrassed.
"So do you still uh..like me? I mean with your friend or whatever showing up and all." Buffy asked with a blushing face.
"Buffy, honestly I'm crazy about you. I know you're straight, but that kiss tonight. I hope you felt what I did when it happened. I was an idiot tonight. I'll admit sometimes it's hard to let go of the past, but Buffy I don't wanna be like that anymore. I'm so happy just being near you. I wouldn't of done anything with her regardless of if you showed up. I got lost in the moment, I wasn't thinking for a minute there. I swear if I ever had a chance with you it would never happen again." Faith let everything just come out.
"Faith it hurt me to see you like that with her. It hurt because I care about you. I can't deny these feelings any longer. I am falling more and more in love with you each day. It scares the hell out of me, but at the same time it thrills me like nothing before." Buffy said now looking Faith in the eyes to convey all her emotions to her.
Faith just stared at her. She really cared for her too? Love? "Buffy, I love you. I've never loved anyone before, and it scares me too, but it feels so right just being around you. I'm so sorry I hurt you. I wasn't sure if you felt the same way towards me. I chose you though Buffy, I would of never left with her. I could never leave you Buffy."
Buffy watched the tears flow from Faith's eyes, and couldn't stop hers from flowing too. "Faith, all I want is to be with you. Just you and me."
"I want that too Buffy. I just want you to be mine, I need you more than I've ever needed anything."
Buffy grabbed Faith's hand and placed it against her heart. "Faith I'm already yours. I've been yours since the day I met you. My heart belongs to you."
Faith sniffled a little, trying to calm the tears, then she leaned over and ran her fingertips down Buffy's face. God she was just so beautiful. Faith felt more alive right this moment then she ever had. Softly she placed her lips against Buffy's, and felt the slayer's small arms wrap around her neck and pull her closer. The kiss was deepened and their tongues battled each other. Faith couldn't contain her moan as Buffy's hand began to move up and down her back, before sliding under her shirt, tracing patterns with her delicate fingers. Faith wanted to show Buffy just how much love, and passion she had for her, and she was showing her that with a kiss. Her tongue tasting every inch of Buffy's mouth, gently sucking on her lip, rememberizing every crevice.
Buffy was the first to pull away, slightly panting. She gave Faith a reassuring smile before the girl thought she had changed her mind. She knew how her mind worked. Buffy let her hand land on the girl's shoulders, slowly she traced her way down her arm, and stopped on her stomach. She pushed her fingers under the fabric, and ran them over Faith's taunt stomach. Faith shivered a little at the mere touch.
"I want you Faith, I need you, right now." Buffy said in a husky tone as she began to lift Faith's shirt off.
"I want you too B, but are you sure?" Faith asked as her shirt was tossed aside.
"I've never been so sure." Buffy replied raking her eyes across Faith's bust.
Faith's lips were on Buffy's again. That was all the incentive she needed. Within minutes every article of clothing was removed, and Faith found herself between Buffy's silky thighs. Her mouth descended on her neck, sucking on her pulse point, letting her tongue glide along her jawline, before returning to her mouth. The feel of Buffy's lean body rubbing against hers was like a dream come true, each movement sending waves of pleasure through her. She had never wanted someone so bad.
Buffy began to moan as Faith's thigh began to rub against her at a steady pace. Her finger's teased Buffy's erect nipples, before she covered them with her mouth. Sucking, and licking, giving each one the same amount of attention. Buffy's hands tangled in her long, dark hair, as her body arched into Faith's every movement. Faith's hand's rubbed up and down Buffy's hard body, as her lips began to trail kisses down her stomach, pausing to push her tongue inside her cute little belly button, causing B to squeel. A smile spread across Faith's face at the mere sound, and sight of the blonde beauty beneath her.
The kisses continued downward, until she let her tongue glide along the insides of her thighs. Buffy was panting softly, and begging Faith to touch her. Faith couldn't hold back any longer. Her tongue slowly reached out against Buffy's clit, and began to travel up and down. Gently she sucked on it, before her tongue made its way inside Buffy's tight opening.
"Oh...God..Faith...you feel sooo good." Buffy cooed.
Faith removed her tongue, getting a small whimper from Buffy, but quickly replaced it with two fingers. Pushing them deep inside her, marvelling in the feeling of how wet she was for her. Her tongue going back to work her clit, as it keep up the same speed as her fingers. Buffy's body rocked against her hand, wanting to be filled as deep with Faith as she could.
"You're so beautiful B...I want to make you cum so hard baby." Faith said breathlessly.
Just hearing her say that, nearly drove Buffy over the edge right there, but she managed to hang on for a little while longer. She never wanted this feeling to end. She had never felt so good in her life. All thought's soon vanished though, as Faith sucked hard on her clit, sending a rush of pleasure pouring out of Buffy.
"Ohh Faith..Ohhh I'm cumming." Buffy screamed as she clutched onto Faith's shoulders, digging her nail's into them.
Her body jerked as the most intense orgasm she had ever experienced washed over her. She felt like she was flying, and never wanted to come down. She didn't have to, because before her orgasm reached its end, Faith's tongue was inside of her again, lapping up every drop of her sweet juices, and causing a second orgasm to hit her.
As Buffy finally came down from her high, Faith was right beside of her, pulling her into her strong arms. Buffy smiled, as Faith caressed her bottom, and met her in deep kiss. "That was so amazing," said Buffy.
"You're telling me." Faith smiled.
"Umm how bout I show you." Buffy said dissapearing under the sheets.
And as Buffy showed her just exactly how wonderful it truly was, all Faith could think of was that she had finally found what she had searched for her whole life. She did in fact find her place in the world, and that was right here with Buffy Summers. In her bed, in her heart, inside of her. She was home. She was home for good.
