"Smells good." Buffy commented, wrapping her arms around Faith, nuzzling into the other girl's neck. "Who would have thought you'd be the cook of the family?"
"Anyone who ever saw you burn delivery pizza, probably would have." Faith answered with a grin.
"Hey," Buffy frowned, starting to pull away. Faith turned, grabbing her and pulling her close. "That pizza was asking for it," Buffy defended, wrapping her arms around Faith.
"Well that's true."
"How long till the turkey's ready? I could eat anything right now."
"It's still gonna be a while for the turkey, but I might be able to take care of some of that hunger." Faith trailed a hand down Buffy's neck, resting her palm on the thin fabric covering her breast. Buffy inhaled sharply, her eyes darkening with thoughts about the offer, but she managed to have enough control to step back.
"As good as that offer sounds, considering we are having a small reunion in the living room I don't think this is the time."
"Your call," Faith smiled, turning back to the oven.
"You're evil," Buffy pressed her body against Faith's back running her hands across her stomach, fingers teasing the top of her pants. With a feathery kiss on her neck, she stepped away, breezing out of the kitchen.
2 hours later...
"God look at this spread. I feel like we should say grace or something.". Xander said sitting down at one head of the table. Across from him Giles raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know about grace, but traditionally you are supposed to burn a list of everything you are thankful for. A kind of memo to the gods."
"We should do that," Dawn enthused. "I'm happy we're all still alive." She smiled proudly around at the others.
"Well way to take the big one," Xander shook his head. "How am I supposed to follow that up?"
"Shit, I know how." Faith answered, reaching for the stuffing. "I'm thankful B finally let me in her pants."
"Faith!" Buffy slapped her arm, turning beat red.
"And there goes my appetite," Giles put back down the turkey fork, cradleing his head in his hand.
"Fuck, we're all happy she let you in her pants." Kennedy added, unashamed and completly oblivious to the scared look Willow was giving her. "If we had only known a good roll in the sack was all it took to loosen her up."
Buffy stared around at her friends, all but Faith and Kennedy were avoiding her look.
"Is that seriously what you all are thankful for?" No one answered her, Xander reached bravely for the mashed potatos. "Will?" Willow jumped when Buffy said her name.
"Well, it's just, not so much that you've loosened up. It's more that you don't have to worry about her going evil. She still has her natural soul, so she can't really lose it, not like, say, Angel." She paused for a breath, looking around to see everyone watching her, open-mouthed. "Can you pass the turkey, Dawnie?"
"Damn, I didn't realize I was so useful," Faith looked thoughtful.
"Get no ideas," Buffy warned, taking the potatos from Xander. "Anyone have anything else they're thankful for?"
"That about sums it up," Dawn shrugged.
"Please just pass the food," Giles begged, reaching for whatever dish someone would hand him.
"Yes, please, and thank you," Buffy passed him the potatos gratefully. Faith met her eyes and they shared a smile.
Later that night...
"So was it everything you ever wanted out of thanksgiving, B?" Faith asked, crawling under the sheets. She threw an arm behind her head, smiling as she watched Buffy wriggling out of her clothes.
"Everything and more," Buffy smiled sliding in next to Faith in only her bra and underwear. Faith wrapped her arms around her as she snuggled close, she kissed Buffy gently on the head, holding her close.
"Good, that's what I was going for."
"Mission accomplished," Buffy assured her.
"Hey, you never told us what you were thankful, B."
"Me?" Buffy wiggled onto her elbows, looking up at her lover. "I'm happy I finally let you in my pants." She grinned, leaning up and kissing Faith quikly and pulling away.
"Oh no you don't, come here." Faith grabbed Buffy, flipping them both so Buffy ended up on the bottom. She took a second to look over her hungrily.
"What?" Buffy asked, frowning for a second. Then Faith smiled, and Buffy returned the grin.
"Happy thanksgiving, B."
"Happy thanksgiving, Faith. Now kiss me."
"Gladly," Faith smiled, leaning down and meeting Buffy's mouth with her own, at the same time reaching over and flicking off the light.
