The Lost Slayer Chronicles of 400 B.C.

Author's Notes: Ok in this part I'm going to be jumping in and out of story archs so just enjoy the trip.
Maria awoke the next morning to the sound of laughter. Leaving the chambers she entered the living room. Tempus looked up smiling.
"Good Morning dear."
"Mom."
Looking at the two something seemed diffrent as she moved thru the room she noticed something had changed.
"So what is it?"
"What's what dear?" God raised an intuitive eyebrow. As Tempus bit back a cough. Glaring at him he raised his arms in mock defeat. Ignoring her step-son she moved over to her mate. Gripping her by the collar she narrowed her eyes and growled.
"Cut the crap, what did you two do?" Looking over to his son the two smiled at each other.
"Alright since you are ready to beat it out of me, come on." As the two smoked out of existence. They ended up on Earth.
"When are we?" As the two stood on a vast cliff over looking the waters down below the crash of the ocean bringing Maria closer to the Edge the two looked over.
"I would like to tell you that there is a year, but there isn't. At the moment this is all there is."
"What do you mean? I was just down here yesterday."
"Yes you were on Earth as it exists when I am not present."
"What does that mean?"
"It means that right now nothing exists except you and I." Maria stood for a moment trying to understand what was happening in this instance. "Maria have you ever wondered why I've never left?"
"Not really, I sort of thought it was because you just like being up there."
"I love you, I do. But that's not the reason. I never leave because my presence to them is not one that is supposed to be seen. Before I was given the name of GOD I was something else. someone else even."
"What?"
"Give me your hand." Taking her hand the two dove off the cliff into the Ocean....
"Good the two of them should be right on schedule. I hope he knows what he's doing." Tempus walked over to the wall mirror as he looked up he watched himself take on the guise of a teenager.
"Now let's get me into school." Walking to the door he began to move thru time again.
SunnyDale 1997
Buffy Summers was just dropped off by her mother outside the school, standing she took in her surroundings. School always a place of moral degredation. Yet knowing that you are a superhero in the guise of a teenager always left her feeling lost anyway. Moving into the building she met Xander Harris, Willow Rosenberg and Cordelia Chase these three would become her friends for the rest of her life. As she walked into the library she met Giles the school librian who brought the crushing blow of her destiny back to her. It was going to be one hell of a year.
Xander stood watching in the corner it was not exactly how he had pictured his baby sister growing up though he knew that right now his parents were away and he was technically in charge of the current world. It was a pity he knew how this was going to play out at least to some existant, already he felt guilty for betraying her trust yet he knew his father had plans for his sister.
Boston 1999
"Fuck this." Faith dropped the stake she was holding as she saw the bloody corpse of her watcher. Leaving the warehouse she walked out into the night she was unaware of the figure watching her in the corner. The smiling figure descended back down into the depths of hell.
"Master, she's ready." Lucifer rose his head the chalis he was holding he sat on the table and moved closer to him.
"Well?"
"Sire she's on her way to the HellMouth."
"And My Father?"
"No signs of him or your New Step-Mother."
"Interesting, and my brother?"
"Tempus has been located on Earth yet we cannot place his time."
"Damn it. This could ruin my plans." Running a clawed finger thru his hair he stared off into the distance.
"Should I send others to find him?"
"No it's of no consequence to me he and I are evenly matched. No what you can do is release Angelus."
"Sire. Angelus I would never question you yet are you sure?"
"Yes release Angelus. Now go." As the Demon prepared to leave Lucifer called out to him. "Wait, before you free him give him back his soul."
"As you wish sire." Slinking out of the room Luci went to his chair and began to watch as the Universe moved closer into his grasp.
Alex lay awake in her bed, she couldn't sleep something was missing in her life a moment of time was void in her memory, rising she got out of bed and went to find Grace.
Grace sat in her room a dagger in her hand she had been sitting there for the last hour contemplating her life. Something kept replaying in her mind yet she couldn't place what it was. Something or someone was blocking her from remembering.
The soft knock on the door pulled her from her reverie. Sitting up she gave a half-smile to Alex. Entering the room she immediately noticed the dagger before she let herself speak she went to her.
Taking the knife from her grasp she sat down as Grace fell into her arms.
"What happend to us?" Grace was crying as Alex held her closer.
"I don't know." They sat in silence for what could have been an eternity. As they held each other something inside began to melt in them both as their world slowly began to refocus.
"Sleep." The words were whispered so silently that neither heard them. Claus stood in the doorway. Picking up the slayer he placed them in bed together. As he left the villa.
SunnyDale 1999
Whistler moved thru the streets of the city as he saw who he was looking for. Moving closer to his brother he smiled as the two embraced.
"Tempus it's good to see you."
"Hey Whis, but it's Xander her ok."
"Sorry bro no problem. I just wanted to let you know that Alex and Grace are sleeping."
"Good that means once my Parents resurface we can get back to life."
"Yes that would be nice you know being stuck in 400 b.c. isn't exactly how I like to spend an eternity."
"I know bro but you know, I'm kinda glad that the finally got some time away you know it was time Dad settled down."
"Yeah and Maria is great. I wonder if he told her?"
"Well, we talked about it but even I don't know how it all came to be this."
"That's why you aren't GOD."
"You do have a point, right now I need you to check on Buffy and Faith."
"Alright so is there anything I need to be aware of?"
"Not really it seems Luci has been busy and Angel is free at the moment but Faith is keeping a level-head and she and Buffy seem to be moving along quite well so if you want you can give her a nice spin on Angel not too much just enough to keep her on track. She and Faith have to get this right."
"I'm on it." Whistler/Claus left Tempus to his other duties.
The ocean floor parted as Maria and GOD began to descend from the depths. Maria watched her husband with a mixture of pride and sorrow as they moved to the surface of the water.
Moving onto the sandy shore the layed for a moment in the sun. Each look at one another. As time stilled awhile longer they held each other.
"I never knew."
"There isn't one among us other than you that does."
"How did you keep it from the children for so long?" She asked as she held unto her partner.
"I had to if they ever found out what becomes of us all they would never be anything more than demons."
"I guess but now that I know?"
"It's my first and last gift to you. You can never tell them it's the one reason why I've never had or required a mate."
"What will happen to me?"
"You will become me as time goes on."
"And you?"
Sitting up she brushed the sand off her hands. Rising she bent down and help Maria up.
"Come on we have to get back now." Moving close she whispered in his ear.
"When I told you my name it was for you, don't use it for my power. As a Godess you have your own. Now lets go."
Inside me lives a world that belongs to you I've returned all my sins and as I kneel I give you my life, my kingdom and my heart Take this for it's all I have to give... (Faith)
"It is done."
"Nooooooooo." Lucifer watched as GOD stood before him the two locked in a heated stare. Lunging towards his Father, Lucifer was then again cast out of the Kingdom of heaven.
Rushing to Maria's side he smiled as he kneeled doen to her. Placing a gentle kiss on her forhead she opened her eyes.
"It's time." Lifting her up the two moved to the throne. Her eyes were sad as they moved to the seat of power. She knew what was about to occur. "Maria, you are the only one I trust you can do this." With one last breath GOD expelled his breath and placed The World in her.
SUNNYDALE 2003
The shift in power was reached the globe over as the last remnants of the change occured. Faith, Buffy and the Scoobies watched as the HellMouth was closed for business.
Xander moved to the group as he stood next to Buffy and Faith he glanced skyward. A few moments before the wave was felt. In that time he stopped the year and fast forward to the Present.
Buffy and Faith were standing in their home. Dawn was snuggled up with a young boy she had met while at school.
As time resequenced itself Xander faded from the memory of the others.
400 b.c.
Alex and Grace stood outside the villa as the sun set their memories had been erased of the girls. Now they stood as slayers, friends and lovers...
Maria stood looking out into the void. As the doors to the chambers old. Tempus walked in he was unsure of what to say to her. He stood for a long just looking at her.
Turning she looked to him, there was nothing to say so they just stared.
1983
On a cold rainy night in a vast Metropolis a baby was being born...
(But that's another story.....)
"Down Beneath the Earth's surface there is a place that is warm it holds the secret of how the universe came into existence. Liquid Magma flows thru the world you know it as lava. I know it as the beginning of my existence. When the world was void of life and Time had yet to be born the world was dark for there was no light.
One day as I stood alone. I took some of this Magma, the liquid fire and as it burned in my hands I thru it in the sky. As it left the atmosphere it collide with a star and the two began to burn together then finally there was an explosion and thus the SUN was born."
Raychel Stevens smiled as she finished her story. Taking her seat her teacher couldn't shake the thought that there was something different about the girl. As the bell rang and the class was dismissed Raychel gathered her books and left the room. Walking out of the building she walked onto the university campus moving thru the city she went to the one place she always felt comfortable and normal.
She knew there was something different about her, yet she couldn't quite place it. Her parents had always told her she was special a gift they called her, for Raychel it just left a larger void in her. As she sat on the sand she felt a deeper connection with the ocean, she wasn't sure why.
Maria lay awake in her room. She slept now only to understand humanity better. As she watched over them it helped to understand their actions better. Deciding their every fate, was often a burden, yet it did offer some comfort to her she missed him. Twenty- one years had passed on Earth yet to her it was in reality a week to her. Seven days, 1,428,231 minutes an infinitical amount of seconds. She got out of the bed. Smoking out of existence she ended up on the beach. She was alone, until she saw her. Raychel had noticed the instant the water stopped it wasn't something you could miss.
Moving over to the now stilled water she could sense someone there, as she moved away from the edge of the shore. Looking up she saw another woman standing on the cliff above the shore.
Maria stopped as she noticed the other woman, Moving from her perch of seclusion she appeared next to her. As the two looked at each other a familiarity crept them both. Raychel was drawn to her it was as if she knew her. Looking closer she saw it.
"Are you GOD?"
"Jarmina" Raychel stopped. That name it held something. Before it had a moment to settle in Maria was next to her kissing her she took her hand they dissappeared.
Opening the doors to the chambers Maria led Raychel to their room. Taking Raychel back to their bed she began to undress him, she knew the eyes that looked at her were his. Slowly she began to undress him. As their bodies began to move a shared conciousness began to flow between them as the hours ticked by the World began to rotate backwards. As storms raged across the globe, time broke into four separate realms releasing a plauge of demons, and angels and other unworldily objects onto society.
The two lay together. As a soft glow washed over them.
"Maria."
"GOD."
"Oh no I thought we settled this." Rasing an eyebrow.
"You are back. If you ever do that again."
"So you didn't enjoy omnipetence?"
"You know to be honest. NO, I didn't Godess is all I ever want to be."
"Well it suits you well."
"So why did you do it?"
"I had to be sure you could do this if ever I decided I needed a vacation."
Throwing a pillow. "A break you took a twenty-one year vacation."
"You know how long I've been doing this, come on you know you had fun sitting in my chair."
"I enjoyed your chair, for a while but I like here better."
"Ahhh, how about we just stay here for now?"
"Hmmm, now that WILL BE DONE." The two lay wrapped in each others embrace.
Author's Notes: The song "Bent" is off the Mad Season (Matchbox 20) album the best one on there. It was my theme song in high school.

The vortex between realms was loosing its seal of keeping demons on their side and all other heavenly denouced beings in this realm.
At the moment of the return of the great one, two other entities were cementing their own destiny as so it had been foretold. Buffy and Faith were the only two had been removed from their time line and place into another alternate realm.
This is where they were now, but they had been separated and one was on the side of good and the other was championing for evil and was winning.
Buffy ended up in her bed as she awoke she was trying to recall how she had ended up in her bed. Her mind clouding over from the night before, try as she might she couldn't remember.
"Buffy time to get up you have to go to school." Her door was flung open as her mother bargined in. She was looking at her daughter with a dismayed look.
"Mom."
"Yes now get a move on you're going to be late." She said as she left the room. Leaving the slayer disoreinted for the second time in minutes. She got up and padded to the bathroom, turning on the water she let it run for a few minutes befores she hopped in.
She was dressed and downstairs and heading out the door when she remembered she was supposed to be meeting someone. As she walked to school she was getting images of something she couldn't quite make out until she saw them together.
"Faith." Looking up she saw the dark haired girl she was standing with some deliquent kids. Shaking herself out of her reverie she wondered what she was doing over there she didn't think about it much just bounced over to her.
Faith was taken aback as the little blonde jumped into her arms and kissed her, she didn't break the kiss just pulled her in closer deepening it. As her hands roamed down her tight little body.
As they broke apart Buffy pulled back looking at the other girl she noticed something was different.
"Uh, sorry I uh. I'll see you later ok." She left quickly as she ran into Willow.
"Umph, hey you bumped into me."
"Wills hey sorry." She said as helped her with her things.
"Be more careful next time blondie." The red-head said as she made her way into the school. Buffy stood in a daze, as Faith and her crew came up behind her. Faith wrapped her arms around her and the two walked into the building together, Buffy trying somewhere to escape as the brunette kept a nice grip on her.
As they sat in class Faith had her sitting in her lap. Apparently whatever Faith wanted was to be obeyed. Buffy needed to get out of here and find Giles. She leaned in whisphering in the brunette's ear, cooed.
"I need to go to the bathroom."
"Oh okay babe, you want some company." Faith said as she was kissing on her neck.
"No, but later ok."
"Alright."
Buffy smiled and got up she had to find Giles and she had to find him now. She made her way to the library and found it empty, there was no one else around and she wondered if she didn't get back soon if Faith would send her lackies after her.
She went to Giles office in the back and found he had indeed been here but was not right now. Sighing she left a note and made her way back to class when she got there Faith was waiting for her.
"Come on."
"Where we going?"
"My place."
"What about school?"
"You're passing, so let's go we can go swimming, watch tv, make out and stuff."
"Excuse me? What do you mean and stuff I'm not that kind of girl."
"B, you know that's not what I mean. I would never make you do anything you weren't ready for."
"No but you would get me so close I might just let you."
"Nah B, not I." Faith said flashing her winning smiles dimples and all.
"Ok let's go." Buffy dragged her out of the building at least if she was with Faith she knew her counterpart couldn't do any damage in which could keep them from getting home.
"Something's wrong." Maria sat up as she looked around getting out of bed she made her way to the window.
"Yes you noticed."
"Of course I noticed, what happened."
"Something we can only watch until the time is right."
"No cryptic messages, something is wrong with this and you know it."
"I do but you are to stay out of this they need to do this on their own."
"What haven't those two been thru enough. They've been taken from their parents, separated and were on their way to finally being happy and now."
"Yes but that's how great loves survive. Look at us."
"No you are an ass, my ass but an ass none the less."
"You love me."
"Shut up. You are not going to keep them apart."
"I don't plan on it at this very moment the realms are breaking open they can put them back together but it has to be on their terms light and dark remember."
"How can I forget and what of us?"
"We have our own little battles to face one which as we speak is making a play for our throne."
"Well we should get to work."
"Yes, but we will have to go down to Earth and you my dear will have to get use to playing along."
"What are you talking about."
"We will be mortal, with the realms in chaos there is no other way."
"Mortal as in human?"
"Well for us yes, but not entirely I have been able to withhold some of the true forces a little from both sides but the ramifications could be dangerous if we are not careful."
"Very well I take it we will be going down tonight?"
"Yes."
