Buffy felt Faith push her up against the wall in her frenzy, her hands wandering from top to bottom, leaving a trail of fire where they travelled.

"Faith" Buffy moaned, although she didn't mean for it to sound like that, but it did and Faith took it as a sign to carrry on.

"Faith...." Buffy tried again, as Faith's hands began to make their descent. "Stop."

Faith stopped, as soon as the word left Buffy's mouth, she took a step back and removed her hands from their places on the blonde's body, doubt and confusion settling into her features.

"What it is it?" Faith asked, trying not to sound hurt.

"I don't..." Buffy paused catching her breath, but she realised she had chosen the wrong time to pause a second to late.

"OH!" Faith exclaimed. "But you said... God I'm such an Idiot! I'm so sorry Buffy, Shit... I thought - " Faith was cut off by Buffy's mouth on her own, their tongues resumed the dueling they had recently stopped. Faith pulled away, her face glazed with confusion. "You're confusing" she said.

"I know" Buffy smiled gently as she brushed a hair from Faith's face. "But if you had listened to my whole sentence in the first place I won't have to be so confusing." She let the hand rest on Faith's cheek. "I am madly in love with you. I want to worship every part of your body, please you like no-one ever has before." Buffy felt Faith's face grow warmer, and her smile grew, loving the effect she was having on Faith. "But, that's not all I want. I want us to be there for each other when we're upset, I want to know everything there is about you. I need that. And if that's not what you're looking for then I guess this is as far as it goes Faith. 'Cause there isn't going to be a halfway here. It's all or nothing."

Moisture landed on Buffy's fingers as Faith let her tears fall freely. "I love you too" Faith said, bringing Buffy into a hug. "Everything you just said.... I want it too."

Both of their dreams had just come true.

After Buffy ran from the hospital, Willow organised an emergency Scooby meeting and called upon Xander and Giles.

"She didn't say where she was going, she just ran." Willow finshed her story as she took a cookie from the counter in Giles' kitchen.

"There's no indication that she actually went looking for Faith, she may have just needed a break from... us" Giles suggested, but realised that it wasn't the best suggestion, but he needed to keep Xander and Willow calm. They tended to jump to conclusions when Faith was concerned, and that was the last thing anyone, Buffy in particular, needed.

"We should get Riley, he's the only one other than Buffy who'll be able to handle Faith." Xander suggested, and as Giles thought, he had jumped to a conclusion, even if he hadn't said it out loud, he still believed that Faith was or had done something bad to Buffy.

"I very much doubt that, after all Faith is still a slayer" Giles was interupted by a knock at the door.

A stony faced Riley, greeted Giles at the door. "Hi, I thought Buffy would be here" he looked around. "I take it she's not. Where is she?" He asked.

Riley was met with a cold silence. "We errr..." Giles coughed. "We don't know where she is."

Riley looked at him like he was insane. "You don't know where she is?" Giles nodded. "How'd that happen? I'm in hospital for a few days and she's dissapeared of the face of the earth. Is that what you're telling me?"

"Not exactly" Willow answered. "You better sit down."

Buffy and Faith walked hand in hand through one of Sunnydale's many cemeteries. Neither of them spoke, they had talked enough back at the mansion, about what they were going to do next, about Riley, about the Scoobies, the Watchers Council. All problems they had to face, but right now, they just wanted to slay. But the vampires didn't want to co-operate and soon enough Faith found herself pushed up against a mausoleum wall. Buffy's mouth showering kisses over her lips and jaw. Faith threw her head back, granting Buffy more access to her neck. Then all of a sudden the tables were turned and Buffy had her back pressed against cold stone. Faith began with small short kisses, which got less frequent and resulted in a fevered make out session.

All of a sudden Faith's body became rigid, and it had nothing to do with what she and Buffy were doing.

"Faith, what is it?" Buffy asked, her eyes looking about for danger and spotting..... Riley? "Riley! What have you done?!!" Buffy looked at the brunette she was holding up, she had started convulsing from the electric shock given to her by the blaster. "Faith... It's okay..... Shit... Riley! What the fuck have you done to her?" She got angry. She placed Faith carefully on the floor as her convulsing seized. Then she charged over to Riley, her face red with anger.

"She attacked you" he said bluntly. "I was helping." He moved to hug her but she pushed him away.

"You call that helping! She's good now..." She walked back to the brunette and knelt beside her brushing brunette locks away from chocolate coloured eyes.

"Not how Xander and Willow tell it." Riley stood over Buffy.

"They don't know her. Not like I do. When it comes to Faith... they're touchy... they tend to jump to conclusions... and stuff of the bad happens.... like this" Buffy never took her eyes from Faith once.

Riley was good at reading signs and he knew this was one. It was telling him he wasn't Buffy's "one", he always knew he wasn't what she wanted. He was too normal for her. Too much like a cardboard cut-out. She needed the mystery and spontaneousness of someone like Faith... or Angel. Both of whom he had known nothing about till this day. And even knowing so little information about them, he knew Buffy was better of with Faith than him. After all, who is better for a slayer than another slayer. As he thought this he came to the conclusion that he'd not take it in a bad way. He took one last look at Buffy and Faith, then he walked away.
