Simple Things

I started running around trying to get everything ready. They were all gonna be here in less than 10 minutes and mom had only just left.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"Dammit!"
Someone's here already I thought as I rushed to the door and answered it.
"Hi Buffy."
"Hey Will. Sorry, mom just left so I was still getting things ready."
"Oh okay. You need some help?"
I contemplated this for a minute then smiled.
"Nah. Five by five, all done and ready."
"Five by five?"
She gave me an odd look and I realised what I'd said. The same thing Faith always said. I guess I picked it up from her.
"Sorry Will, guess I pick things up from her."
"From who?"
I looked up to see where the husky voice came from to find myself staring at Faith. It took all my self control not to drool. I guess I should point out that I have a huge crush on Faith. Well more like I love Faith and her turning up in her usual leather trousers definitely gets my blood pumping round my body faster.
"B?"
I notice there's a hand moving in front of my face and I look up.
"Sorry, what?"
"Are you okay Buffy?"
"Yeah B, you were a bit out of it then."
I try get the dopey grin off my face and stand aside.
"Yeah I'm fine. Sorry, why don't you guys come in and make yourselves at home."
Will walks in and then Faith and I could swear as Faith walks past she brushes up against me but it's probably my overworked hormones in action. I go to shut the door as I hear a high pitched screech and once again look up as Cordy mounts the curb with her car.
"God, I can't believe that stupid idiot got his licence."
I try not to laugh as Cordy goes storming into the house and walks in, to where Will and Faith are sitting. I shut the door and follow her in. This is gonna be a long night.
Faith and me are carrying all the stuff upstairs. We flipped for it and it'll be me and Faith sleeping in my bed and Will and Cordy are sleeping on the floor on the spare matresses.
"Where'd you want this B?"
I can think of where I want her....No Buffy snap out of it!
"Erm wherever, just put it dooowwn..!"
I trip on Mr.Gordo as I walk into the room, knocking Faith down on my bed and landing right on top of her. Okay brain work, feet moves, hormones STOP!
"I..uh...I...Sorry Faith....Mr.Gordo and I...erm I tripped on him and..."
She smirks at me and leans up so my eye level is at her chest.
"It's okay B. Wanna give me a hand up here?"
"Yeah! Sorry."
I get up quickly and offer her my hand, putting it down at my side after she pulls herself up.
"So we done here B?"
I give her a little embarassed smile and nod.
"Sure. Let's go downstairs."
I walk downstairs behind her, half cursing at myself for looking so stupid and half trying to shut my hormones off. God I was laying on top of her and our bodies fit so well together. When she sat up I could feel the muscles in her stomach and I could feel her pushed up against me. God, how am I gonna make it through the night?
The end credits to the film roll and I watch as Faith stretches over and turns the video off. I look over to Will who gives me a little smile. I'm so gonna kill her tomorrow. The sleep over was her idea to give me a chance with Faith but it's driving me crazy.
"Okay that movie was so lame."
"Yeah, unfortunately I agree with Queen C here. I got an idea to liven things up."
I raise my eyebrows and grin. I could think of ideas to liven things up with Faith.
"What's that then Faith?"
"Game of truth or dare."
I glance over at Will who shrugs and then I turn back to Faith.
"Okay you're on. You go first."
She sits up and moves over so we're up sitting in more of a group then across the room from each other.
"Okay. Queen C, truth or dare?"
Cordy just rolls her eyes and blows out a breath before answering.
"Truth."
"Okay then."
Faith waggles her eyebrows and then cracks her knuckles before grinning.
"Have you ever kissed another girl?"
My eyes go wide at this and I look over at Will who has a little smile on her face.
"Well, eh...Yeah, cus I was showing Harmony how to kiss when we were friends."
"Cool enough answer. Your go."
Cordy shrugs and I remind myself to shut my mouth.
"Okay well, like erm...Okay Willow, truth or dare?"
Will seems to think about this carefully. Guess she's worried about any implications of what's asked and god that's too big a mouthful to think of right now.
"Truth."
"Okay. So before me and Xander, what did you two really get up to as 'best' friends?"
Cordy puts the quote marks on the word best and Willow seems to go bright red. Come to think of it, I don't even know what Xander and Will have ever gotten up to. I mean I know before Oz, Willow had a thing for Xander and that when they were little Will and Xander used to date but other than that.
"Well when we were going out, I mean we were five and everything and then when we were and he took and I..."
"Will breathe."
I look over at Faith's who's trying not to laugh and she gives me a little smile.
"We kissed once. He was apologising for taking my Barbie and he kissed me on the cheek."
"Okay Willow. God, hassle much getting that out of you."
I shake my head at Cordy and catch Willow's eyes, making sure she really is okay. She looks thoughtful for a minute before getting a gleam in her eyes that I only see when she's up to something. She mouths so that I can only see.
'Say dare'
"Okay, Buffy. Truth or dare?"
"Erm dare."
"Okay. I dare you to kiss Faith."
My jaw drops and I just stare at her. Cordy is laughing and Faith shifts over to sit right next to me.
"Whhaat?"
"She said you had to kiss me B."
I spin around and Faith's sitting right behind me with a grin on her face. God she's so beautiful but I'm gonna kill Willow for doing that.
*RING RING*
"Dammit."
Cordy's phone rings and after cursing, she picks it up.
"Hello? No...Yes...Okay then....Yeah okay I heard you."
She hangs up the phone and turns back to face us.
"Willow, that was Xander. Apparently him and Oz have some surprise for us and wanted me to drive us over there. He said Buffy and Faith could have a good enough time on their own?"
"Yeah that's okay. Is it okay with you two? Buffy?"
I snap out of Willow asking me to kiss Faith and mumble at them.
"Yeah sure. You want us to go get your stuff?"
"No, thats okay. We'll pick it up tomorrow. That okay Willow?"
"Yeah that's fine."
They stand up and I get up with them to see them to the door.
"I'll just veg here. See ya both."
They wave bye to Faith and I see them out to the door and just as Will's about to go, she leans up and whispers to me.
"Don't lose your chance with her. If I find out you haven't told her how you feel, well then...It'll be bad, that's for sure."
I smile at her and see her out the door, shouting goodnight to them as they drive off. Shutting the door and walking back in, I see Faith sprawled on the floor and so I lay down next to her.
After five minutes of silence, Faith speaks up.
"So B....You still haven't done your dare."
She sits up to look at me and in the dim light I swear I can see a sparkle in her eyes.
"Erm okay then."
I lean forward and gently brush my lips over hers before pulling back and looking at her. She's got her eyes closed and as she slowly opens them she slides her tongue over her lips. She speaks again and her husky voice sends shivers through my body.
"Your turn B."
"Truth or dare Faith?"
I'm amazed I've got my voice to work after that. Her lips are so much softer than I expected and she's wearing some gorgeous vanilla lip balm. It tastes just like....Wait it is my lip balm. I smile as I remember her asking to borrow it a few weeks ago and not getting it back.
"Truth."
"Okay. Who do you love or are crushing on at the moment?"
Her eyes snap up, looking straight at me as if to judge whether she can say something or not.
"You. I..I...Uh, I mean I...I love you Buffy."
Her eyes leave mine and stare at the floor before she quickly gets up.
"I'm sorry B, I'm such a fuck up, I shouldn't have said. I'll go."
I snap out of my happiness and jump up, grabbing her arm.
"I love you too Faith."
I smile at her and slowly she smiles back. God this is even better than I thought it'd be. She loves me, she loves me too. God she, and I, and we're...Okay thoughts, think, that's it. I gently move my arms around her waist and pull her down slightly, pressing my lips to hers again. I part my lips and feel her tongue slide into my mouth. I moan quietly as I feel her body pressing up against mine and as quickly as I felt it, it's gone. We break apart and she looks at me grinning.
"Does this mean, you'll go out with me?"
I can't help but giggle a little. She's got this goofiest grin but she looks so damn cute with it. Cute, sexy, hot, so many words that apply to her.
"Course I will."
I say before yawning. She brings my hand up to her lips and kisses it gently.
"C'mon, you're tired. Lets go to bed, k?"
"Sounds good to me."
I pull the covers back and slip into bed, having gotten changed and out of the bathroom before Faith. I sit up and watch as she saunters into the room. She climbs into bed next to me and leans up on one elbow to look at me.
"I love you Faith."
I say, quickly kissing her on the cheek. She smiles back at me and moves so that she's laying against me before opening her arms. I take the hint and move into her arms as she wraps them round me. She brings her head down, kissing me softly.
"I love you too B. G'nite."
"G'nite Faith."
I snuggle into her arms and feel her stroking my hair as I start drifting off to sleep. I mumble out to her.
"We've gotta thank Will."
"How come baby?"
"Cus she set all this up, the sleepover, the dare, her and Cordy going off."
She chuckles and kisses my forehead.
"You went to all that trouble cus of me?"
"Yeah. I love you."
"I love you too, sleep now?"
"One more thing."
"What B?"
"I like you calling me baby."
I feel her giggle and I wrap my arms around her waist, yawning again.
"G'nite Faith."
"Night baby."
I fall asleep gently in the arms of my angel, thinking how simple things can make dreams comes true.
