things I am having her do but sorry. I am having fun=)
::sometimes I wish that I could be the person that you are just for a minute long enough that I can break your heart::
Gage pauses for a second outside Backstage pulling Cordy back from leaving without us.
"Gage, what are we doing?" I can hear her asking as we walk up.
"Thought we'd wait for your friends." Cordy looks over smiling at us.
"Well they're right here silly." She takes his hand and starts pulling him away from the bar.
"You guys ever been to Luna's?" He asks as we fall into step behind them.
"No, never heard of it," I say.
"I have," Hailey says squeezing my hand. "It's a hot club, my boy works the door there, we won't have to wait in line." Gage nods smiling.
"Good to know, the line to get in always sucks."
"Tell me about it."
"You just got the hookup don't you?" I say teasingly. Hailey leans over so her mouth is almost brushing my ear.
"More than you know." I swallow as her breath tickles my ear.
"How far is it?" I ask Gage in an attempt to divert my attention.
"Only a few blocks, it's right around the corner from my apartment."
"Easy to stumble home huh?" I ask.
"I am not stumbling!" Cordy says defensively, causing the rest of us to laugh. "I'm not!"
"No you're not," Gage brings his mouth to hers kissing her deeply.
"Ok then." Cordy says breathlessly pulling away from him.
"We're almost there, my apartment's up there." He points up the building across the street from us.
"I wanna go to your apartment," Cordy says stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. I almost run into her.
"C, watch out. We're going to the club."
"I want to go to Gage's place." Cordy crosses her arms refusing to move.
"Come on Cordy!" Hailey says exasperated, and tugging on Cordy's arm.
"It's ok really if she wants to come up. You guys can go ahead." Gage says innocently. I have to give the boy smooth points. And I really don't want to fight with C tonight.
"Alright man, you take her, good luck." I grab Hailey's hand pulling her towards the corner.
"Ok, I will tell Z you might be coming." Hailey says over her shoulder.
"Will do, you girls have fun." I look back to see Gage leading Cordy quickly across the street. I smile shaking my head knowing exactly what will happen with them tonight.
After we turn the corner I am immediately glad that Hailey knows the bouncer. The line extends from the door all the way around the opposite corner. I can already hear the music pumping from inside. The line is full of scantily clad females, and guys trying way too hard to look cool. We push up next to the door trying to see Hailey's guy.
"Z!" Hailey yells. A big black man looks up from the skinny blonde talking to him. He catches Hailey in the crowd and waves.
"Hailes, where you been girl?" He waves us over wrapping her in a bear hug.
"Chillin, you know how it is."
"Yeah I feel you, so who's this?" He asks motioning his head towards me.
"This is my girl Faith." Hailey puts an arm around my waist pushing me forward a little.
"Sup girl?" I shrug in response. "Yeah, you behave in there Hailes."
"Come on Z, you know me." Hailey says smiling as we start to back towards the door.
"Yeah, that's what I'm talking about." I laugh as we turn to the door.
"Ya'll back up now ya hear?" Z yells at the crowd who have pushed forward yelling about us getting in. As the door shuts behind us their voices fade as music takes over.
"You want a drink?" Hailey yells over the music.
"Yeah, beer." I yell back. Hailey makes her way through the crowd towards the bar. I lean back against a pole watching her. She seems to know everyone in the place, as I watch she leans over the bar giving the girl behind it a tight hug. Damn is she fine, ass to die for. Ok I gotta stop thinking like this. Buffy, Buffy, Hailey...shit. Fuck it ya know? It's not like me and Buffy are anything anyway. Ok she's walking back now, she got a beer too, my kind of girl.
"Hey baby," she sidles up right against me again, kissing my cheek lightly. I take my bottle from her, a smile spreading over my face. Yeah, I am gonna forget Buffy.
"What?" She asks, her head tilting to the side.
"Nothing." I bridge the small space between us kissing her breifly on the lips before pulling away. As I pull back I see a smile playing on her mouth.
"Let's dance." She backs away from me not breaking eye contact till she turns her back to me. I take a big chug of my beer before setting it down and following her. She leads us to the middle of the crowd before turning to face me. Ok yeah she can dance. The way this girl is moving is making Britney look like a hack job. I can only try to keep up. She pulls me close to her wraping her fingers with mine, and moving our bodies together. I am well aware that more than a few people have stopped to watch us, and from her smile I am pretty sure she knows also. Her leg moves between mine promising that this is not where the fun will end tonight.
All my thoughts cease as her hands move away from mine and trail up my ribs resting around my neck and pulling me close. I expect a kiss, but her mouth passes mine pausing short of my ear.
"Wanna leave?" She breaths before flicking her tounge out and licking my ear. As she pulls back all I can do is swallow and nod. She pulls me off the dancefloor and out past Z who nods in our direction as we pass before hailing us a cab.
Disclaimer: Don't own the Buffy folk, Sarah Mclachlan owns the lyrics.

Ignore the spelling.
::I'm ever swiftly moving trying to escape this desire the yearning to be near you I do what I have to do::
The back of the cab is kinda stinky, and more than a little disgusting. I don't have long to think about it though as Hailey climbs in after me. She leans up into the front seat of the cab telling the driver where to take us. I look out the window not paying attention. My mind is wandering back to Buffy and again I am wondering if this is maybe not the best idea. This is my last chance to back out. All thoughts of leaving are gone when Hailey sits back down placing a hand on my thigh.
"How you feelin?" She asks.
"Pretty fucking drunk. You?"
"Same," she says giggling. I have to smile back at her.
"So where we going?"
"I thought my place, is that cool?" She looks a little worried realizing she hadn't even asked me if I wanted to come to her place.
"It's fine," I say leaning in to kiss her gently. She smiles as I pull back.
"You're fine," she pushes me so I am leaning against the door, strattling my legs she leans down kissing me deeply. I run my hands up along her sides under her jacket. She sits down on my lap still kissing me and I wrap my arms around her waist. There is no more question in my mind that we should be doing this. This girl is my fucking style. Can't see Buffy doing this in back of a disgusting LA cab. Ok so that's not my style, but once in a while...
"Hmm, hmm," we're interrupted by the cab driver's subtle announcement that we've reached our destination. Hailey growls, as she throws some money at him and pulls me out of the cab. I look around me as he pulls away.
"Where the fuck are we?" I ask looking around me in awe. The lights of the city seem to span on forever below us. Turning a see a huge modern looking house rising up behind me. "Holy shit."
"You like?" Hailey asks wrapping her arms around me from behind.
"Who wouldn't, this is your house?"
"Well, my dad's place actually. But after I went to college he set me up my own apartment in the west wing. Small price to pay for me staying at home."
By looking at the place I can tell that it was not a small price to pay for her to stay at home. I would have to say that the cost of turning the place into an apartment, probably was more money than I ever had.
"You wanna come in, or are we just gonna stand out here all night, not that it wouldn't be fun...." She trails off nibbling on my neck.
"I think we better go inside now, or we won't make it," I say pulling away from her heading to the house.
"Oh come on, it'd be fun, I mean, daddy's been in bed awhile now I'm sure," she laughs at the look I give her and runs to catch up to me. Taking my hand she leads me to a side door, letting us in queitly.
"Thought you lived alone?" I asked noticing how quiet our entrance had been.
"Old habits die hard," she said grinning. I pulled her close giving her a kiss, she wrapped her arms around my neck. Her lips were so soft, and warm, she tasty spicy, like cinnamon, not like lip gloss, but something coming from within her. I slide my hands up under her jacket to her shoulders forcing her arms from my neck as I slide her jacket off, leaving her in just tank top and pants.
"So do I get the tour?" I asked glancing around.
"Sure," she shrugged turning and leading me through the downstairs. We had entered into the kitchen, which was almost as big as my apartment, from there we entered a huge living room, and I mean huge, its ceiling went all the way up so the skylights let moonlight in until she flicked on the light. A huge fireplace that looked like it had never been used set in the far wall, a flat screen tv was mounted in the corner.
"This is the living room," Hailey said sweeping her hand at the room before pulling me around the corner and up a flight of winding stairs, I just caught sight of a dining room area set up on the other end of the living room before it disappeared from view. The upstairs was split into two rooms, one with another TV, a computer, and couch. The other was her bedroom. If I thought that this place cost money before, when I stepped into the bedroom I was positive.
"Holy shit." I said without thinking as I looked around the room. One wall was entirely taken up by a fishtank built into the wall, another flatscreen TV hung across from the bed, which was huge, I am talking sleeping five people comfortable big.
"Like it?" She asked innocently. pressing a button hidden in the wall that started music and some sort of lights that gave everything the apperance of being under water.
"It's fucking amazing."
"Daddy really wanted me to live at home," she wrapped her arms around my waist again.
"What does he do anyway?" I finally thought to ask.
"This and that. He manages some actors and singers, owns a few clubs.."
"Does he own Luna's?"
"Yeah."
"Why didn't you say so?" I ask looking down at her.
"I dunno, I don't like to brag. Anyway he also owns a few restaurants."
"Jesus."
"You having second thoughts?" She asks pouting. I lean down kissing her in reply. I feel her smiling under my lips and she walks us backwards till we fall down on the bed, me on top of her. I smile down at her pushing some of her hair out of her face before kissing her again. Once again I am taken by the essence of her as it closes around me, her arms moving gently under the edges of my shirt and pulling it over my head. I lean down kissing her neck and moving to her collar bone, loving the feeling of her nails in my back, her hands pulling me down closer. Her hands twisting in my hair. Twisting in my hair. I pretty much jump off Hailey as she reminds me of Buffy.
"What's wrong?" She asks sitting up and facing me looking worried. I sit at the edge of the bed with my head in my hands, I guess all the alcohol wore off cause all of a sudden all the Buffy shit is coming back. I take a few deep breath trying to calm down. I feel her tentativly putting a hand on my back in comfort.
"Hey, you ok?" She asks. I owe the fucking girl an explanation for going weird. I sigh again, lifting my head up to look at her.
"Yeah, I'm ok. It's just. Fuck I'm sorry. I just had some major shit go down with this girl, and I am still pretty fucked up about it. I don't think I can do this. I'll go." I stand to leave and am suprised by her hand on my arm.
"Where are you going?" She asks looking up at me.
"I don't know, home I guess."
"Faith, it's fucking like I don't know three in the morning. And I did not bring you home just for a cheap fuck. You're staying over." She stands up moving past me to a set of drawers built into the wall and pulls out a pair of sweats and a tank top handing them to me. "Bathrooms over there," she says pointing to a door in the corner I hadn't noticed. Change. I smile weakly at her.
"Thanks." She nods and I head into the bathroom. Nice, a fucking jacuzzi tub, and I am turning this girl down? I sigh turning to the sink and washing off my face. She is fucking loaded too, and cute, and nice. I mean if I brought someone home and they just pulled what I did, well I don't know. I think I might be more upset. I change quickly and after going to the bathroom walk into her room finding her already in bed with all but a few of the dimmer fishtank lights off.
"Is it ok if we share the bed?" She asks pulling the covers back for me.
"Of course. I'm sorry about all this." I say climbing into the bed.
"It's ok baby, I understand." She props herself up on one elbow looking down at me. "Can I kiss you goodnight?" I am suddenly hit by just how much I want her to kiss me again. She really is something. I don't know how she saw me nod in reply, not trusting my voice. But her lips met mine softly again, for one last time that night, her tounge slipping all to breifly into my mouth. She pulled back before kissing me again one quick time on the lips, and rolling over. I moved up right behing her sliding an arm around her waist and twisting my fingers with hers. In no time at all I felt myself drifting off.

::It's all about the money, It's all about the dum dum diddy dum dum::
"So you went to her house?" Cordy asks leaning in confidentially. Monday morning find us both at work much earlier then we want to be so naturally we aren't doing anything. At this moment we are sitting on the couch in the foyer of the hotel drinking coffee and discussing Saturday nights events. I already found out that her and Gage went to his apartment and did exactly what I assumed they had, and also spent all Sunday there. Gotta give the girl credit. Now she is digging into my night.
"Yeah we went there, you didn't tell me how fucking loaded the girl is." I say sipping my coffee.
"She's loaded?" Cordy asks almost jumping into my lap.
"Uh yeah, hello have you seen her place?"
"No, I only met her like two weeks ago, she knows Lana. So she's rich, like how rich?"
"Like her father owns a house up towards Mullholland drive over looking the entire city, I also gathered he has a penthouse in New York."
"Holy shit." Cordy covers her mouth in awe.
"Yeah, now how is it that you didn't happen to mention that you barely knew the girl when I met up with you two Saturday?"
"Did you not see me Saturday night? I wouldn't have remembered to mention if I have a vision that the world was ending!" She stops frowning for a second. "Which I didn't by the way, have a vision. It was just a fluke that she was there with me, she wanted to go out, but Lana was sick, so Lana gave her my number. I had just got off the phone with you when she called."
As she talks I notice Angel making his way down the stairs toward us. I gotta smile at his vain attempts to do something with his hair, but it just still sticks up everywhere. He smiles when he sees us watching him.
"Morning, what are you two doing?"
"Faith got some this weekend." Cordy pipes up smiling.
"I did not!" I rush to defend myself. "Cordy got some, lots of some."
Angel is now looking at both of us very confused.
"Some wha..." his eyes widen with realization. "Oh. I really don't wanna know this." He turns starting back up the stairs.
"But Angel the girl Faith was with is really hot and.."
"I was not with anyone! Cordy was with Gabe like four..."
"Not listening," he keeps heading upstairs.
"And she's rich," Cordy announces proudly. Angel turns looking back at us.
"Rich? You got with a rich girl?"
"I did not get with anyone people." I roll my eyes.
"Well is she in trouble?" Angel is now walking back down the stairs. "Does she need help? Finding someone, something, her dog? Anything she could pay us for?"
"No Angel girl is not in trouble. Well maybe I mean I haven't seen her dad yet." I am stopped by Cordy's hand on my arm.
"Don't think that way, you know you have worked here too long when you start believing Angel's 'everyone is a victim' theory." I laugh standing up and heading to my office.
"Well everyone is, is a victim I mean." Angel defends. "I'm going to bed," I wave to him as he turns back upstairs, obviously disappointed by the lack of case.
"Believe what you want," Cordy yells after him. "Now what happened." She says following me into my office.
"Nothing Cordy, nothing happened, some kissing, that's it."
"Ok, whatever, just remember she's loaded." Cordy turns disappearing from my door.
Disclaimer: Joss owns them, I play. Again I don't know who owns the lyrics, I know I'm bad.
::don't worry bout don't think about turn your head now baby just spit me out::
The day passed uneventfully. Fred and Gunn came by for a while, but being as we hadn't had a case in the past week, they were much more eager to have 'Fred and Gunn' time. Cordy convinced Angel that we were not in fact needed and we should not stay a whole day. I really think he agreed just to get her to shut up, but I'm not gonna complain. After saying bye to Angel me and Cordy stepped out into the hot California sun.
"You want a ride home?" I asked sliding on my sunglasses.
"And miss the joys of the bus? Yes." My laugh stopped short as I looked down the road.
"Fuck!" I turned onto the sidewalk jogging to where I parked my car.
"What?" Asked Cordy jogging to keep up.
"My cars fucking gone!" I stopped by where I always parked my car looking at a beat up station wagon that was definitely not my explorer.
"Are you sure this is where you parked?"
"Yes, this is where I always fucking park. God dammit!" I kicked the sign post in front of me causing it to tip to a dangerous angle.
"Excuse me, are you missing a car?" A scrawny kid with a backpack asked me. And ok I over reacted throwing him onto the hood of the station wagon.
"Do you know where it is fuckrag?" I asked pulling his face up to mine.
"Chill!!" Poor kid thought he could scramble out of my grip. "You're Faith right?"
"Yeah how do you know?" I asked setting him back on his feet.
"Cause some hot assed little mama, told me to wait for a "fine sister" with brown hair to come outa that hotel, looking all kinds of cute. Said she took your car, paid me five hundred cash to give you these." With that he held out a set of keys. I looked at Cordy who only shrugged.
"How the hell do I know you're telling the truth?"
"I don't know man, I woulda just taken the money and the car, but she left this big black dude standing over there to watch till I gave you the keys." I smile then knowing that must have been Z.
"Alright so which car is it smart ass?"
"How should I know? Can I go?"
"Yeah get outa here." I give the kid a little shove away from us, and turn back to Cordy. "So what do you think?"
"I don't know. Does it have one of those little find the car buttons?" She asks motioning to the keychain. I look down and sure enough it does. I click it once, hearing the beeping somewhere back past the hotel. Without a word me and Cordy start back the way we came, me clicking so we can follow the beep.
"Holy shit," we say in unison stopping in front of the car that has been responding. A brand fucking new silver mercedes convertable.
"I can't take this from her." I saw looking the car up and down.
"Oh, of course not," Cordy also looks up and down the car. After a second we both look up eyes meeting.
"Still want a ride home?" I ask.
"Yeah." I run around to the driver's side, fumbling to unlock it and let Cordy in. Once in we both sit to take in the interior.
"Hot shit," I look around excitedly.
"Fuck, she bought you a car. You so slept with her."
"No, I didn't." I notice a note stuck to the steering wheel. Unfolding it I read it aloud to Cordy.
"Faith,
Thanks for Saturday....I know you have
things to work out. I wanna see you though.
Your old car is at your house. Come over
to my place.
Hailey"
"You so slept with her."
"Cordy," I shake my head as I start the car, the stereo coming to life, both me and Cordy dart forward trying to lower the volume, bashing our heads together in the process. I pull back rubing my head as she finally lowers it. But before finding the right button she hits another on and a screen slowly slides out and up.
"Oh hell yeah," I exclaim as the screen reads 'No DVD found'. Lets fucking do this." I pull out and drive across town dropping off Cordy and heading to Hailey's.
Disclaimer: Well hey, I own Hailey! no one else though sadly, the lyrics
belong to Jonathan Davis of Korn.
Notes: Spelling bad, I know. I didn't mean for this to happen like it did
but oh well I like it=)
::I see hell in your eyes taking in by suprise touching you makes me feel alive touching you makes me die inside::
It's dark by the time I pull into Hailey's driveway. There is no sign of any life on her dad's side of the house. Maybe Angel is right? Ok I really need to listen to Cordy for once, and not start thinking like that. I put my new car in park and climb out, once again taking in the view before turning to go inside. I would have been here sooner if Buffy hadn't called just as I was leaving. That didn't really go well I guess.
"Hey," Buffy said.
"Hey."
"What are you doing?"
"Just about to go out actually."
"Oh patrolling? Isn't it kinda early?"
"Well actually I am going to a friend's." I sit down realizing I will not be leaving right away.
"Oh Cordy? No you would have said Cordy. Someone I don't know then?" She gets very quiet on the other end.
"I don't think we should talk about this B."
"It's your business F." Ouch I know she is mad now.
"Don't be like that. You know where I am coming from."
"Yeah but where are you going?"
"Actually you've worked it out so I can rightfully say that is none of your business. If where I was going was your business, I wouldn't be going." Ok I didn't mean to be that harsh.
"I see how it is then. Just wanted to let you know the doctors don't know anything for sure yet, I'll talk to you later, maybe." The dial tone rings in my ear.
Yeah so that coulda gone better. But fuck what business is it of hers where I am going? I thought about not going after that, about calling her back and apoligizing. I even picked up the phone to tell Hailey I wasn't coming. Then I said fuck it. I mean I am nothing to Buffy. And Hailey bought me a car, when someone buys you a car, and invited you over, you can't really say no. I mean what 'Gee thanks for the car, but this other girl I love doesn't want me to see you' no that isn't quite right. So here I am knocking on Hailey's door. She opens it with a smile, and not much else.
"Hey," she leans out kissing me quickly and pulling me in. I glance down her body covered only in a bikini.
"Hey yourself, nice outfit." I lean against the counter as she finishes her drink putting the glass in the sink.
"Oh, I was just gonna get in the hot tub, I tried to call to tell you to bring a suit, but you were already gone."
"It's cool I can just sit with you."
"No, we got extra suits in the sauna, it doubles as a change room. I am sure you can find something." She turns and I follow her through the living room and dining room out to a patio in back with a pool and hottub.
"About the car..."
"You like it?" she asks smiling.
"Well, for a minute I was gonna tell you I couldn't take it."
"And then you realized just how good you looked in it." She says wrapping her arms around my waist, I can't help but smile.
"That's about it."
"Ok go change." She points me to the sauna. Inside I open the closet and find about five suits, sure enough one does fit me, the tops a little small, but not bad. Hot tub huh? This is gonna be trouble I can tell. Grabbing a towel I go back out to find her already in, I slide in next to her.
"So yeah Hailey. Not that I don't appriciate it, but why did you buy me a car?"
"I like you, and I like to buy things," she shrugs in a way that tells me that the car is nothing to her. She turns so she faces me in the tub. "I know that you have some thing, some issues or whatever...and that's cool. But I like you, you're not like anyone else I've met. So I am going to pursue this relentlessly."
Ok with that little speech I just fell into something. Not love, I am not going to even pretend it is that. But this hot rich girl, likes me. I lean in kissing her. My hand slides around behind her neck, then moves down cupping one of her breasts and squeezing it gently through the fabric. She sighs moving her own hand up my side, brushing my breast on its way to my face, she pulls back looking at me.
"So I guess you can be bought." She smiles letting me know she is joking.
"Well, it's a really nice car," I say with mock seriousness, she splashes me a little pretending to get out of the pool, I pull her back in setting her on my lap and kissing her again, then I stop.
"Um, should we go inside, I mean your dad." She puts a finger to my lips silencing me.
"Shh, daddy's in Venice with some secretary." I open my mouth pulling her finger in with my tounge and slowly swirling my tounge around it before she pulls it back wiping it across my lips before replacing it with her own lips. She turns so she is strattling me, my hands trail up her back enjoying the smoothness of her skin. I start to pull the strings holding her top on and she pulls back a little smiling at me, her hair falling in her face as I untie the strings and pull the top off throwing it behind us and taking in the full view of her breasts. I pull her back to my mouth connecting with first one breast then the other tasting both clorine and sweat on her. I trail my tounge up to her pulse point sucking it gently as my fingers work her nipple, moving down I pull the nipple back into my mouth and I feel her jerk a little when I bite down gently on it.
I slide my hand down her stomach pushing it into the bottoms of her suit, I position it so I can get three fingers in and start up a rythmn, still kissing her breasts. My thumb flicks and munipulates her clit, as my fingers work in and out. She is lifting her self up and down in time with me, getting the most she can, her head is thrown back has she holds on to mine. I get a fourth finger inside and I feel her body clench around them as she orgasms, moaning as she lowers herself one more time head resting on my shoulder. I start to kiss her neck gently while she catches her breath. She stops me pushing me back from her and lifting me a little till I pull myself up on the side of the hot tub.
"That's it," she murmurs, unclasping my top and sliding it off my shoulders, she pushes me back so I am laying flat. The cold concrete contrasts oddly with the heat from the hottub, and the flames moving through my body when she touches me. She slides partially on top of me, on knee between my legs, applying pressure everytime she leans forward to kiss me. Her hands slide over my breasts sending shivers through me, before her mouth finds them, returning the treatment I gave her earlier. I wrap my hands in her hair pulling her close to me as she kisses down my stomach, I can here the water as her body slides back into it, her mouth moving lower and lower until finally this I was waiting for comes. I can feel her through my bathing suit bottoms, as she kisses gently teasing me though the thin fabric. She stands up sliding my bottoms off and droping them into the tub, then slowly kissed back up my leg until her face is once again over my spot, but she just sits there for a second, letting the tension build. I press down on the back of her head and she starts, I writhe a little feeling her tounge inside me, then pulling out to flick at my clit. This is fucking amazing. She starts kissing upwards again, her fingers replacing her tounge, by this time I am close I can feel it, I am bucking my hips trying to get more pressure, she's kissing my neck, thats gonna do it, her mouth is right by my ear.
"Can she do it for you like this," she says her tounge flicking out to lick my ear. I have the most intense orgasm I've had in a while, my whole body feeling numb for a few seconds after. I hear her pull herself out of the tub and open my eyes to her standing over me. She reaches a hand down.
"Come on, let's go to bed." Against better judgement I let her pull me up, and disregarding the clothes strewn about we head inside to her room.

::You can come back when you want just know that I'll be here::
What did that mean? I lay listening to Hailey breath quietly, her head resting on my chest. Did she really say that? Or was it just my own twisted mind hearing things? No I heard her 'Can she do it for you like this?' I heard that. You heard it right? I ask the other voice in my head. Yup, I heard it. Ok I am asking imaginary voices in my head for confirmation, I think that makes me legally insane. Shit. I feel Hailey stirring a little on my chest, but she doesn't wake up. That's good, I don't know if I am ready to talk to her yet. She couldn't have said that. I shut my eyes, trying to drift back to sleep, my last thought is I wonder what Buffy is doing.
Buffy awoke to the alarm clock blaring in her ear, reaching blindly over she hit it off before resting her head again on Gabe's chest.
"Oh no, you gotta get up." Gabe sat up forcing Buffy up with him.
"Just a little longer?" She asked wiping at her eyes.
"Nope, I have to be at work, you know that, and Dawn has school." Gabe got off the bed pulling on a pair of boxers and heading to the bathroom.
"Don't forget to grab a towel," Buffy yelled after him.
"I'll be down for breakfast," he yelled back disappearing into the bathroom. Buffy pulled herself out of bed rummaging around for the pajamas she had never quite got on last night. Pulling them on she went to wake Dawn.
"I'm up," Dawn yelled when Buffy knocked on her door. Satisfied Buffy headed downstairs to start on breakfast. By the time Dawn came down dressed for school and with her backpack the sausage and bacon was already done, the eggs almost.
"Gabe's here huh?" Dawn asked sitting in a chair at the counter. "That's the only time you make breakfast."
"That's not true Dawn." Buffy said dropping some food onto Dawn's plate.
"Ok, and christmas and easter." Dawn smiled at the glare Buffy gave her. "Your cooking is getting better though." Buffy slapped Dawn playfully with the dishtowel for that one.
"Hey honey," Gabe came into the room adjusting his tie, stopping to give Buffy a kiss before sitting down next to Dawn. "Hey shorty," he said playfully messing her hair. Dawn slapped him away.
"Hey, I just brushed my hair," she said with no tones of playfulness.
"Kids," he smiled lifting his plate for Buffy to fill before she sat with them.
"So when do you work till?" Buffy asked as she ate.
"Don't know yet, probably late, it's been a busy week and Ian is quitting so I gotta find someone to fill in for him, not sure I will see you tonight."
"That's too bad," Dawn said sarcasticly. Buffy glared at her, but Gabe didn't seem to notice.
"Yeah well, I better get going," Gabe said glancing at his watch. "Breakfast was nice." he said standing from his half eaten plate. "You want a ride squirt?"
"No."
"Ok, see you later," he kissed Buffy on the head before heading out of the kitchen stopping briefly for his jacket before leaving.
"He was being nice." Buffy said picking up his plate.
"Yeah, whatever. You don't need him Buffy." Dawn said pulling on her backpack, and heading for the door.
"Yes I do."
"Well I still don't like him." Dawn shut the door behind her leaving Buffy in the deafening quiet of the house. Sighing she put the plate she was washing down and sat at the counter looking over the remaining food. Sighing again she dropped her head to her hands.

::I took you home set you on the glass I pulled off your wings then I laughed::
I woke alone in Hailey's bed. Rolling over I say my clothes folded neatly by the bed. Guess she cleaned up some from last night. Again I gotta ask what that shit was. I get out of the bed pulling my clothes on quickly and heading downstairs. The house is empty but I can see the door to the deck is open a bit. Pulling it open the rest of the way I lean out seeing her sitting in one of the deck chairs drinking coffee and having a cigarette. Hmmm, I didn't know she smoked. I walk out getting a slight nod from her as I take the chair next to her.
"Hey," she says taking a drag off her cigarette.
"Hey yourself."
"Sleep well?" She asks glancing over at me.
"Ok." Wow this feels very not right. She is all short with me and shit.
"So Hailey, what you said last night..."
"When?"
"When we were, um, you know."
"Fucking."
"Yeah, what did you mean by that?"
"I didn't mean anything by it. It was a well timed question wasn't it?"
"But Hailey..." She stands up walking away from me to put out her cigarette. "Hailey." She walks back over to me leaning her hands on the arms of my chair and bringing her face to mine.
"It, was, nothing. Nothing Faith. And I suggest if you don't like the way I do things, that you go home." She presses her mouth to mine and beyond my control my body reacts, missing the harsh contact when she moves away. "Otherwise, I'm hungry, let's take that nice new car of yours for a ride and get something to eat...my treat."
She pulls back walking into the house, leaving me alone to think all this over as I watch her disappear into the house taking off her small top as she goes. What the hell was that? Fuck me. Every sensible part of me is saying to get as far away from this girl as possible. To run home and call Buffy and beg for forgiveness, get her to love me, or at least fucking try. That's what I should do. But every sensible part of me isn't much and I stand up following her inside to get breakfast.
We head into the city at a good rate, I know I am speeding but the car is just so damn fun to drive it is hard not to. Hailey seems more like herself again laughing and singing along with the radio.
"You've got an awesome voice," I say turning down the radio.
"Thanks," I see her smile out of the corner of my eye. "I had voice lessons for a while, and dance, and anything else you can think of. I could be Britney Spears right now if I had really wanted to."
"Well why didn't you?"
"Why should I? I can do everything she does now, with out all the shit that fame brings, ya know?"
"Yeah I guess. So where are we going? You do realize that being as how it is," I glance at my watch, "almost two, no place will be serving breakfast."
"Yeah, I don't know, let's go to Burger King or something." She laughs at my skeptical look. "Hey, just cause I can afford better, doesn't mean I want better."
"I don't know, I think I'll be embarrassed to drive a Mercedes into the Burger King parking lot."
"Oh look, one car and she gets all sophisticated, better watch out Faith, that look doesn't suit you."
"Doesn't really fit you either," I say dryly back. I glance in the rearview seeing flashing lights behind me. "Fuck."
"What?" Hailey looks back. As I start to pull over. "Oh, it'll be ok don't worry."
"Fuck, no it won't Hailey, I don't have the money you do. Fuck her probably got me doing at least fifteen miles over." I roll down my window watching the officer approach the car.
"Afternoon miss, can I see your licence and registration?" He asks.
"Uh yeah," I fumble in my pocket for my wallet, and after handing him my ID panic a little realizing I have no idea where the registration would be. Before I can start looking Hailey leans over my lap looking out at the officer.
"Hi officer," she smiles up at the guy.
"Oh, Miss. Peirce, sorry I didn't see you."
"It's ok." Hailey pulls herself back over to her side of the car. The officer hands my ID back to me.
"I, uh, just wanted to let you girls know, it, uh, might rain later, roads will be slippery, so, uh if it rains, drive careful. Have a nice day Miss. Peirce." He nods at me before turning and heading back to his car, shaking his head at the clear blue sky. I turn in awe to Hailey.
"What the fuck was that? You give the cops all head or something?" She hits me on the arm.
"No! God, my dad's important, they won't give either of us tickets. And I will bet anything he is back there right now adding your licence plates to the list of cars not to pull over. No one who drives with me gets pulled over." She smiles pulling her seatbelt back on. I still sit stunned watching her. "Burger King?" She asks motioning me to drive. Shaking my head I put the car in drive and pull back out.
"Hailey what does your father do?" I ask.
"I already told you."
"No Hailey, a club owner doesn't have that kind of power."
"It is nothing you need to worry about Faith. Trust me, things will be better if you don't know." She's acting like she did earlier again so I drop the subject, turning my attention to looking for a Burger King. Still wondering what the real deal with this girl is.

::Keep my head on straight and don't look down with all I've pushed away I'm losing ground::
Buffy walked alone out of the hospital. Dawn was at school, even though she volunteered very selflessly to skip for Buffy, and Gabe had a business meeting. Buffy had told them both that she did not need them to come with her. The sun beat warmly on her back as opened the door to her car, the heat from inside attacked her when the door opened and she quickly turned the car on and rolled down the windows before bothering with getting her seatbelt on. Summer was coming, that was sure, the mild temperatures were spiking unreasonably into squelching heat.
She had told the others that she had one more test today before they could tell anything about her headaches. She didn't tell them that she would have the results today. Didn't want to worry them for no reason if the tests came back showing nothing, showing that everything was fine. First she would discuss everything with Gabe, then the others. She threw the oversized envelope with her results on the passenger seat before starting the car and backing slowly out.
Dinner that night was quiet. It was always quiet when Gabe was there, mostly because Dawn refrained from her usual babble when he was around. Instead she sat pushing the salad around on her plate as Gabe kept up a running onesided conversation about his day.
"So then, I tell Bob, 'You think this is an easy job? Why don't you try getting fifteen kids schedules worked out, and making sure they all get to work huh?' I tell ya." He chuckled a little bit at himself and Buffy smiled at him.
"So then wha.." Gabe interrupted.
"Then before anything you know he is backpeddling like crazy, trying not to get himself fired. Chump. I mean you can't just talk to me the way he was and not expect repercussion. You know?" Dawn snorted in disgust, Gabe ignored her.
"Yes honey." Gabe slide his hand over covering Buffy's.
"How'd the tests go?" Dawn asked looking up, taking Gabe's pause as an opportunity.
"Oh, they went ok, you know, tests," Buffy picked up her napkin and started shredding it unconsciously. "Lot's of tests."
"When will you get the results?" Gabe pulled the napkin out of Buffy's hand, and she set both her hands twisting in her lap.
"I don't know."
"Well that's absurd. Didn't they tell you anything, I'll call them in the morning. They should.."
"I said they don't know when they will get them ok?" Buffy said sharply, pushing her chair back, and starting to clear the table.
"Buffy, there's no need to.."
"Just stop Gabe," Buffy looked sharply at him. Dawn pushed her chair back, standing up from the table.
"I've got homework," turning she headed up to her room, Buffy winced as the door slammed.
As Buffy stood mechanically rinsing the dishes and putting them in the dishwasher Gabe came up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. She set her hands on the edge of the sink and rested back into him. She felt him kiss the back of her head gently.
"So what did they say?" He asked. Buffy pulled away harshly, shutting the dishwasher.
"I told you, they don't know anything."
"Come on Buffy, I can tell that's not true. Now what did they say?"
Buffy turned walking past him and onto the front porch. He followed her out standing next to her at the top of the stairs. "Buffy...."
"Fine Gabe you wanna know?" Buffy whipped around to face him. "Yes I have a fucking brain tumor. Are you fucking happy to know now? God, you just have to fucking press and press don't you?"
"Buffy, I.."
"I think you should leave now Gabe."
"But Buffy..."
"Go Gabe, just go." Buffy turned going inside she shut the door, leaning against it. After a few seconds she heard Gabe's feet move down the porch steps, and his car screeching away. She locked the door and started up the stairs. Instead of going to her room she knocked lightly on Dawn's door.
"Yeah?" Came Dawn's reply. Buffy gently pushed the door open, leaning for a second on the frame. Dawn sat up in bed. "What's up?" She asked.
Buffy crossed the room to her bed, covering her mouth as tears started to fall. Dawn looked up at her scared. Buffy sat down next to her laying her head in her lap and crying uncontrollably.
"Buffy, what's wrong?" Dawn asked panicky.
"It's just like mom," Buffy said between sobs. Dawn didn't say anything just stroked her sister's hair, and back until she wasn't crying quite so hard. Then Dawn pulled her gently onto the bed, pushing off the books she had been studying, they both lay curled together and Dawn shut off the lights.

::That that that day what a mess what a marvel I walked into that cloud again and I lost myself::
Two days later Buffy stood running her finger down a list of times on the wall, finding the one she wanted she turned walking away. 'I just need to do this,' she thought. Alone she moved through the crowds of people, no one really took notice of her as she made her way to the ledge. Her cell phone started ringing, she hesitated a minute before pulling it out of her bag. The caller ID read 'Gabe'. Sighing she answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Buffy, I just read your note, you don't need to do this." Gabe's voice reasoned with her.
"I'm sorry, I gotta do this." She turned her phone off, turning and stepping off the ledge, onto the bus that would take her to LA, take her to Faith.
I looked out the window of Hailey's BMW as the car flew down the road. The people and buildings blured by, I sighed thinking again about Buffy. I hadn't heard from her since we had fought about Hailey. Nothing was right. I mean here I am riding in a fucking pimped out car, coming back from some huge ass party in Bel Air, where I fucking rubbed elbows with the social elite of the country, and all I can think about is Buffy. How the fuck does she get me this way?
"Hey, you ok?" Hailey asked glancing over at me, I know I probably looked trashed all slumped against the window.
"Yeah I'm cool, just a thought heavy, ya know?" Of course she knows, she hears about Buffy every five minutes.
"You need to forget that girl. God fucking move on and enjoy the life. This is the life Faith, look at me, I can take you anywhere." I smile at her, knowing she is right, I need to stop letting Buffy brain fuck me. But goddamn Hailey isn't much better all multiple personalities girl. She has spazed at me a few times.
"I know, I know." I do know, I can prove I know. My hand slides over to her side of the car resting on her thigh. "You gonna come in?" Cause my house is anyplace compared to hers.
"Well, I got some shit to do," she smiles evilly at me. "But I am sure I can come in for a little while."
"That's my girl," I lean over kissing her cheek. She smiles at me again happy. I like when she's happy, when she isn't things tend to go kablam. Speaking off, we are going fucking fast. "Uh, Hailey, it's only thirty-five through here, you know."
"God Faith," even in the dark I can see her roll her eyes. "I am a fucking Peirce. I can do whatever I want, when are you going to get that through your head, you fucking moron." I sit back in my seat, keeping quiet as we blow through two red lights, cars screeching to stop inches from hitting us.
When we finally pull into a parking spot across from my apartment building I let out a little sigh of relief. Getting out of the car I slowly pull myself to standing, my head spinning a little from all the wine. Hailey walks around to my side of the car pressing me against it with her body.
"Hey baby, I'm sorry about what I said," her leg presses in between mine, her hand working its way up my side. "You forgive me?" She pouts her mouth inches from mine.
"Yeah, don't worry about it," her lips curl into a smile for a second before I lean forward capturing them with mine, her tounge slides into my mouth carressing mine, her hand continuing its journey upwards. I pull back pushing her away.
"What's wrong?" She asks her pout returning.
"Nothing, but we gotta go inside." I slide sideways along the car till I am no longer trapped, holding her hand I pull her across the street and into the building.
Luckily we don't have to wait long for an elevator, a man in a business suit is just getting into one as we enter the building, he holds it as we run over getting on.
"Thanks," I say quickly, he only nods going back to reading the paper he is carrying. Which is just as well because Hailey has positioned herself behind me and is proceeding to run her hands between my legs from behind, and up under my jacket and shirt. When I try to pull away she jerks me back. Luckily the guy gets off at the third floor. Once the doors close behind him she turns me roughly kissing me against the wall.
"Hailey," I say pushing her off.
"What?" She pouts. "You don't like to play."
"Play nice," I say shortly as I step off the elevator to my floor, smiling she saunters off after me. Waiting with abnormal patience as I unlock the door. Opening the door the first thing I notice is the lights are all on, it takes me a minute to notice the girl on the couch, I don't see her till she stands up.
"Hey," Buffy says quietly. She stops short from hugging me when she sees Hailey behind me.
"Buffy what are you doing here?" I ask, still in shock of finding her here.
"Well, it's a long story." Both of us look up as Hailey laughs from the doorway.
"So you're Buffy?" She asks walking past me into the room circling Buffy. "Funny, the way she talked I was expecting better." I am worried when Buffy doesn't make any move to bash her head in.
"Hailey, I think you better go." I say quietly, she glares up at me.
"Faith, didn't we talk about this?"
"I said you should go."
"Whatever Faith, you know where to find me." Buffy and I stare at each other as Hailey walks out, neither one of us even flinching when she slams the door.

::don't know how I feel so don't call me and don't write and don't you dare tell me that you're missing me tonight::
I look her up and down, she looks weaker, tired, scared, I don't know. I can tell she has been crying, god what is she doing here? I haven't talked to her at all and here she is. I had forgotten I gave her a key to my place when she came to visit. And here she is. I shift uneasily on my feet, breaking the eye contact, as if that gave her permission she moves, sitting back down on the couch. I look up again, taking in the room before my eyes wander back to hers. We both start to talk at the same time.
"Faith."
"B." She smiles slightly motioning to me to continue. "What are you doing here B? I mean god, two weeks ago you fucking broke my heart, and now I come home to find you making the place your own?" I know I am being unreasonable, saying things I shouldn't, but somehow the message to stop isn't getting to my mouth. She just makes me so....so...I don't fucking know...unreasonable. "I mean jesus B, do you even know how you made me feel?" She's been studying the carpet the whole time I spoke, now in my silence she looks up, her eyes sad.
"No, Faith, I don't know how I made you feel. I only know how I felt. How I lay awake half the night I was here wondering how I was going to tell you the truth, how you kissed me before I left. I only knew what I had to do for myself, and what I thought was right."
"Did you even really think about what was best B?" I slump down the chair across from her. "Gabe? I mean Buffy, come on, it's not for real, he doesn't even know what you are, it is gonna end like every other relationship. I mean even Angel being a vamp could never really understand what you are. They'll never understand what it is between us." She glares up at me and I know I made a mistake bringing Angel into it.
"And Hailey is going to understand? Seems like that girl doesn't hear a god damn thing you say, let alone listen to you! That's what you want? You're suddenly in love with her?" I stand up moving away from where Buffy sits.
"No, I'm not in love with her B. But she gives me what I want, what I need. She takes care of me, money, sex," I pause as I see the look of pain that crosses Buffy's face. "And other shit," I finish stupidly, turning my back on her as I look out the window, rain has started to fall and the streets are starting to glisten.
"Other shit? Faith she treats you like shit. Don't you want to be in love?"
I turn quickly away from the window crossing to where she sits, I squat down in front of her my face level with hers.
"I am in love. I've always been in love B, with you. I fell in love the first time I saw you. I fall in love with you every fucking time I see you."
I stand up my hands pushing the hair back from my face and twisting in it behind my neck, I stand that way not looking at her until she speaks quietly.
"I have a brain tumor Faith." She looks up at me as I turn around. "I want you to come home with me, I need you to take care of me." Her eyes plead with mine.
"I can't B, it's too late." I turn walking to the door. I pause with my hand on the handle. "You can stay here tonight, I won't be back, lock the door when you leave." With that I open the door, shutting it behind me, shutting it on Buffy.
