Destiny Brings People Together

Faith is out of jail and ready to pay some people visits. First she is going to see Angel and the gang, and then head to Sunnydale.
The night is cold and pouring with rain. Faith stumbles along, hurrying to see Angel.
When she finally reaches the hotel, Faith is wet and angry, looking for revenge. But she watches and waits, hiding in the shadows. Not so long after she sees six people.
Angel is one of them, his arm wrapped around Cordelia's shoulder. Another one is Wesley, his arm over the shoulder of an attractive blonde who Faith immediately recognises. The final two are Gunn and Fred, who are holding hands. they all go inside and lights are turned on, Faith decides it is time to go inside.
She pounds on the door and it is answered by Cordelia.
"Faith... I didn't know you were out of jail." Cordelia said, sounding shocked.
"I don't suppose you care. Can I come in?" Faith replies, stepping inside as she asks, not waiting for an answer.
Cordelia shut the door and led Faith to the others. The others were just as suprised, especially Maria. It was Wesley who spoke first.
"Faith this is..." He started to speak.
"I know who she is. Maria was in jail. She left about a month ago, maybe two. We never did get on very well." Faith said, quickly.
"How are you Faith?" Angel asked.
"I'm fine. Just decided to pay you a little visit. Do you know, I'm sure there is something different about Cordelia. I can sense something." Faith answered, noting the uncomfortable look on Cordelia's face.
"Yes I'm half demon. You can't scare me now Faith, I'm not as weak as I was. How was jail?" Cordelia said, her tone of voice hard.
"Quite fine. Do you want to see how strong you are?" Faith asked.
"Yes I'd love to." Cordelia answered, she looked at Angel, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
"Ready now?" Faith said, standing in the middle of the room. Cordelia walked over.
"Start!" Cordelia said as she punched Faith. Neither of them could hurt the other, if one tried to attack, the other would defend herself, although Faith got a couple of punches in.
"Guess you are stronger." Faith admitted, as they stopped fighting. Cordelia walked over to Angel and smiled, softly.
"I told you I'd be fine." Cordelia said, as Angel gently pulled her down beside him and kissed her softly.
"I love you and I'm always going to worry about you. Even with your extra strength." He said.
"I love you too. I always have, since I first met you." Cordelia replied.
"Faith would you like to stay the night?" Fred said, speaking for the first time, since Faith had arrived.
"Yes. Anyway, how did Maria join the group?" Faith said, leaning against a wall.
"She helped us with some cases and we asked her if she wanted to join us to help with all cases." Gunn said.
"I'm going to bed for the night. See you in the morning." Maria said. The others stayed up a little later. Faith went to bed early and Fred showed Faith her bedroom for the night.
Later on the others all went to bed, after discussing Faith. Wesley started shouting when he opened the door to his bedroom. The others all rushed to him, and looked in the room. Maria was laid on the floor, dead, a knife in her back. Gunn went immediately to Faith's room and found her sleeping. He woke her up and dragged her out of the room.
"Get off me!" Faith said, shouting.
Gunn showed her Maria.
"Who did this?" Faith asked, looking from Angel and Cordelia to Gunn. Fred had took Wesley downstairs and phoned the police.
"That's what we'd like to know." Angel said, as Cordelia shut the door.
"You think it was me, well it wasn't. Gunn found me and I was asleep." Faith said.
"We'll let the police decide." Cordelia said.
"But they'll blame me straight away. Angel I promise you it was not me." Faith said, looking at Angel. Angel looked back at her.
"Okay I believe you, you'd better go, go to Sunnydale if you are innocent I'll see you there, if you're guilty I never want to see you again." Angel said.
Just after the police had left Buffy arrived.
"Buffy, what are you doing here?" Angel asked.
"I'm on the run. Someone has murdered someone who I was seen with. But it wasn't me." Buffy said.
"Two slayers, two murders. You were right Angel." Cordelia said.
"What? You mean Faith is out of jail." Buffy asked.
"Yes. Looks like we have some work to do. When I find the culprit who killed Maria, demon or person, I'm going to kill them." Wesley said.
"Maria?" Buffy asked.
"Wesley's girlfriend, Faith's enemy in jail. She got out of jail about two months ago. Faith got out today. Coincidences, don't think so." Cordelia said.
"It seems like someone is trying to turn you and Faith against your friends. Get you on the bad side." Gunn said, looking through old books with Fred and Wesley.
"Well then we'll have to team up. We'll have to head to Sunnydale. Hellmouth here we come." Cordelia said.
