Faith was moving through the cemetery, like a slayer on a mission. This time she wasn't here to slay a demon, or vampire; she was on her way to visit with her sister in arms. She was in prison when Angel came and told her the news about Buffy.

**Flashback**

It was Sunday when Faith received her monthly visitor. She sat down and picked up the phone, as Angel did the same.

"To what do I owe this visit dead boy?" She said, in her trademark sarcasm.

His face darkened considerably which she noticed. This visit was not of the good.

"Faith, Buffy's dead." He said, without trying to cry. Faith was thinking so many different things. She couldn't make heads or tales of the situation.

"So did a demon finally get the chance to take the 'Chosen One' down?" She had a lot of venom in her voice. It made Angel want to jump through the glass and strangle her. The love of his life dead to protect a non existent sister, and someone who tried to help Faith on numerous occasions. He tried to put a rein on his angering feelings.

"If you must know, one of the greatest worries for the PTB sacrificed herself to save the world for a non existent sister. When a Hell God wanted to use said, little sister to get home to her own dimension. She had to choose between sacrificing her sister, or sacrificing herself. In the end she chose to sacrifice herself, because even though Dawn was not her sister, she loved her just the same. And for that she jumped into the portal when it opened." By the time he finished he had tears running down his cheeks. He just got up and left. No goodbye or anything.

Faith hung up the phone and went back to her cell; she had a lot to think about. Dawn wasn't real, but she had all of the memories. She was no longer one of the 'Chosen Two', but now she was the official 'Chosen One'. Buffy jumped to save her sister and the world. "If that is not a hero, then I don't know what it is" she thought to herself. She felt really bad for the big guy, but mostly she felt bad for Dawn and the Scoobs. She remembered all the times Buffy tried to help her, but she was just so messed up she bit the hand that fed her. She has no way of making amends or making peace with her. She rolled over on her cot trying not to think, but she couldn't when a familiar song came on the radio.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

She thought about all the good times they had before everything went sour. The slaying, Bronzing, or just hanging out. How much she loved Buffy.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin',
Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin',
Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin' out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

All she wanted was Buffy's love in return, but Angel was in the way. If it wasn't Angel then it was her friends the one's that never accepted her.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those
	years have gone.)

Now Buffy was gone with no reason to explain why she turned to the Mayor or trying to poison Angel or kill Red.

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

She needed to find a way to get out and at least go visit. Without a slayer the Hellmouth is a virtual demon playground.

	Dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those
	years have gone)

A single tear came streaming down her cheek, not because of the song but because Her Buffy was no longer there. She turned over hoping to find a dreamless sleep.

**End Flash Back**

Faith made her way to her grave, it wasn't all that hard to find. Angel said, she was buried underneath a giant Willow tree. "How fitting" she thought. She stopped and placed the flowers in front of her tombstone, and knelt down.

"Hey B, sorry it took me so long to come and visit. I was released on good behavior and I was stationed here in Sunny D. It seems kinda weird, being here without you. I find myself wishing that this was all a nightmare and you will be here. I never got a chance to tell you how sorry I am for all of the shit I put you through. But I was jealous; you had a loving home, friends, a watcher who truly loved you, even if you were too blind to see it. In my own way I started developing feelings for you, that would explain the flirting and the obvious double entendres."

She wiped the tears that was falling down her face, never had she cried before this.

"I loved you Buffy, and I think I have for a long time. I went to the mayor to try and get information, but he started treating me lovingly, like a father should treat a daughter. Like Giles treated you, I needed that. Then he started wanting me to do things for him and in return I got his affection. I wasn't really going to kill Red, but I tried to because she had your love and I didn't. I poisoned Angel because he was an obstacle in my way; I wanted you for myself, for you to love me. That never happened because we fought and I ended up in a coma. I just came to tell you how I felt, and to let you know I miss you. And without you here it's just the 'Chosen One'. I don't care what anyone says, we will always be the 'Chosen Two'."

She got up and brushed her knees off. She turned and walked away and felt a warm breeze that had the faint smell of vanilla.

"I'll take care of them B, for you I will."
