Buffy walked across the streets of Sunnydale. The sun had just gone down and she could feel the vampires as they roamed the streets. There seem to be so many these days but none of them were trying to feed and that struck her as weird. You feed you live, you don't you die. Buffy walked into the Bronze and could feel the heat and the music overtake her. She had on her short black leather skirt and a tight red shirt. Her blond hair was pulled behind her head but there were a few strands caressing her face. Her hazel eyes scanned the crowd until she saw Xander, Anya, Tara, Willow, and Dawnie.
Buffy walked across the room and sat next to Dawn. "What's up Dawnie. How was classes today? You know being it Sunnydale High where a day at school is a day of hell."
Xander started laughing so hard he nearly fell off the stool. Dawn just looked at Buffy and shrugged it was fine. Just then Buffy noticed a girl dancing out there on the dance floor. She had long brown hair that had red and purple streaks from the lights dancing off of it. Her eyes were closed as she moved. Her hands were above her head as a man's hands roamed down her body. The girl had a white t-shirt and tight black jeans on. And god Buffy thought it was getting hot in here. There was something so familiar about this girl but she just could not place it. She felt a pull towards the girl so she got up and started walking towards her.
The girl's eyes opened and stared into Buffy's and then everything stopped for the two. There were no other people, there was no music, there was only them and that moment. The girl moved towards Buffy and Buffy moved towards her. Buffy had never been attracted to a woman before and this was something new but there was no doubt it was attraction. Buffy could feel the moistness between her legs. The sweat was slowly forming and it trailed down Buffy's neck between her breast. The girl followed the path of the sweat with her eyes and then moved forward and licked the sweat from her chest and then followed it up to her neck. It felt like the most natural thing in the world to have that girl there.
The girl held out her hand to Buffy and said lets get out of here. Buffy took her hand and followed her out and as the night air hit her skin she shivered. The girl wrapped her arms around Buffy's waist. "I am Faith." She whispered in a husky voice. "I have been waiting for you Buffy. You and I shall defeat the vampires and the Slayer will win the ultimate fight against evil." It was then that Buffy noticed how cold Faith's skin was and as she turned around in Faith's arms she noticed that her lips were slightly blue. She pulled Faith's hair aside and saw an old scar of two fang marks. Buffy knew she should stake this girl but she found that she could not.
"Do not fear little one. This transformation that I made was necessary for me to come to you my love. For me to help you defeat the first. It is coming and will be here soon and I must show you lots but fear not because I will not hurt you." Faith leaned forward and pressed her lips to Buffy's, they were so cold Buffy thought but then Faith's tongue slipped in between her lips. The kiss intensified as their tongues dueled. Caressing each other, Buffy felt Faith's cold hands slip under her shirt and they felt so good. The hands were slightly calloused and yet so soft and smooth.
Buffy pulled away grinning "maybe we should uhmmmm take this elsewhere." Faith gave her a little half grin and said "wherever you desire."
Buffy pulled away and they started to walk hand in hand as they walked down the street. As they neared Buffy's house Buffy stopped and looked at her "Why is it that it seems like I have known you a lifetime?"
"A lifetime means many things to many people Buffy Anne Summers. I was born over 150 years ago and every beat of my heart was for you. When I was turned I was told of a place that was empty in my heart and I had felt that emptiness for so long and it was explained to me. There is one person to fulfill one's destiny. As you have been chosen to save mankind I was chosen to save you."
Buffy noticed that the night wind had gotten colder and the sky had become overcast as if it were going to rain. "So, how did you know about me when I didn't even exist?" Buffy asked getting more confused by the moment.
"You were known about long ago. Ancient stories told of you and how you would save the earth from the clutches of evil. The battle that is coming is not against vampires it is against evil. There are many clans of vampires and not all seek the blood of the innocent. Some seek the blood of evil and some seek the blood of other vampires."
Buffy shivered and said "It is cold Faith I am gonna go in." Bufy opened the door and left it opened and waited for Faith to come in. "Ohhh ya I forgot sorry. Would you like to come in?" Faith stepped in and Buffy sat down on the couch. Faith stood by the door with her hands in her pockets.
"Come sit down, please?" Buffy asked.
Faith sat down beside Buffy and she could not resist leaning against Faith.
Faith wrapped her arms around Buffy and kissed her forehead. "I do not know what the future brings but I have traveled eternity waiting for you. Nothing will happen to you I swear."
Buffy smiled as she listened to Faith's husky voice. "You need to loosen up Faith you are too serious this is California and you're young." Buffy laughed at that "Well you look young anyway." Buffy yawned against Faith's chest and Faith said "you are tired. Perhaps I should go so you can rest."
"No, I want you to stay and be here with me. I love you and I know I just met you but sometimes it is too hard to explain. I cannot explain why the thought of you walking out the door scares me. I have been alone all my life but for the first time ever I feel whole. Like it's not all hopeless and it's not. You have traveled eternity for me and I have waited my life for you."
