Hell and Back

Buffy laid on her bed and even though she had tried not to all she could think about was Faith. She had been in jail for two years and was due for parole next week.
She had so many emotions when it came to Faith she did not know what to think. There was love, hate, happiness, sadness, regret, oh yeah did I say love. Buffy truly wanted to help Faith and she decided the best place to do that would be in Sunnydale. Buffy got up and got a pen and paper.
Faith, I know you probably don't want to hear from me but there are somethings I have to say. This will be easier on paper. I never wanted you hurt. I still have nightmares about the night I stabbed you. That was something I felt could not be avoided. It was not that I was scared for me, but for my family. You went after everything I cared about. You did destroy the thing that was most precious to me. You. That's right, Faith I love you and I am sorry we caused you to go to the dark side. I need to know you are happy so please at least keep in touch. With all of my love Heart and soul B Buffy just does not sound right with you
Buffy waited for weeks to hear something and had given up hope when she received a letter. She saw it was from LA Correctional Facility. When she opened it with trembling hands a necklace fell out. It was a gold heart. Buffy about fell out of her seat as she realized it was a poem.
B, Here I stand in my own hell But your voice is my precious bell Ringing out in my dark place Bringing pictures of your face I swear you have my soul and heart If I have your love I'll never part Please be my sunshine in the rain Take away all the hurt and pain I swear all do the same for you If you tell me once your love is true Please hear my cries and this I swear I'll always love you and always care. B, I know that this is not my style but I thought maybe now you would understand. I will be out next week and if you want you can come see me. I don't know where I am staying. I want things right between us. You are my salvation and I just gave you my heart. All that is left is me. Let me know if you want to see me after my cheesy letter.
Buffy was laughing and crying. With shaky hands she put the necklace on.
When Faith stepped out of the prison gate her first sight was Buffy standing there beautiful as ever. They walked towards each other and Buffy reached out and Faith noticed something in her hands.
It was a heart necklace just like the one she sent her.
"Faith, I have your heart and you have mine. Please be with me until the end of time."
Faith reached out and pulled Buffy to her for a passionate kiss.
"Buffy, I will go to hell and back for you baby." They walk off in the sunset hand in hand.
