"Faith, watch out for that bump!"

"I see it, B. Ya don't havta yell."

"Oh great! Another red light. I told you you should have gone faster. At the rate you're driving, we'll get there in another ten years."

Faith sighed. Sure, caving into Buffy's request to take her to the mall is one thing, but listening to Buffy's rants about her driving skill is another. Faith knew for a fact that she was the better driver of the two. The way Dawn never gets into the car until she knows that Faith is the one behind the wheel is a confirmation of that.

"B, will ya give it a rest? We'll get there when we get there. Look, put on some music or something."

"Ooh, I'm allowed to choose our form of entertainment?"

"Yeah, yeah. Anyting to get you off my back."

Usually Faith would have a fit if anyone other than her touched her car stereo, but this time she relented, mostly to keep her girlfriend occupied with something other than distracting her driving... and not mentioning annoying her. Buffy turned on the radio and fiddled with the dial to find her favorite radio station. Some pop song then filled the air. Buffy happily sang along with the song. Faith shook her head.

'Right, anything to get her off my back. Trust her to tune in to Britney. Not that the chick ain't hot or anything, but her music is just-'

"Faith, green light already. Step on it! Overtake that car if you have to. Come on!"

"Okay, that's it!"

Faith pulled over at the side of the road. She made sure that they were allowed to stop there before yanking the hand brakes. Hey, just because she's the Badass Slayer doesn't mean she wants her driving license evoked.

"If ya wanna bitca about my driving, B, then do it OUTSIDE my car."

"Then we won't make it in time to the mall."

Buffy put on her best innocent face.

"Well, you could always WALK to the mall, B."

"But, Fa~ith, it's another 5 blocks to the mall."

"You're a SLAYER! You'll manage."

Buffy pouted and gave Faith a look.

'No, not the puppy face again. Faith, be strong. Heart of stone, remember? Tough like a rock.'

Faith gave Buffy a quick glance.

'No! Don't look at her! You have a better chance surviving Medusa than her. Do not, I repeat, do NOT look at that cute little pout on her face that you love so much...'

"Honey, I'm sorry. I'll stop making comments on your driving skills."

"MAKING COMMENTS?!"

Faith turned her head so fast, that Buffy feared she'll get a case of whiplash.

"B, you were practically badgering me! You were nagging me non-stop! You..."

'No! Eyes off B's face. Eyes off...'

Let's just say that if Buffy were Medusa, Faith would've turned into rock hard solid stone just about now.

"I said I was sorry."

Buffy pouted some more.

"Argh!"

Exasperated, Faith banged her head to the steering wheel.

'I'm such a wuss! Completely whipped! I'm reduced to a-'

~"...slave for you. Cannot help it. Cannot control it. I'm a slave for-"~

"Shut up, Britney!"

With lightning speed, Faith turned the radio off.

"Um, Honey, my name is Buffy, not Britney."

Faith looked at Buffy, dumbfounded. She sighed and rested her head on the steering wheel.

"Why did I agree to all this?"

Buffy brought her hand up to Faith's neck and ran her fingers through the dark tresses, stroking the soft skin.

"Because you love me?"

"You actually believe that I love you that much to be subjected to this?"

"Ooh, I remember saying something about swimsuits."

Faith raised her head and gave Buffy a look.

"You, Miss Summers, are one evil vixen."

"Hm, I am, aren't I? But at least I'm YOUR evil vixen."

Buffy gave the brunnette one of her one thousand watt smiles. At this, Faith just had to smile back, as weary as she was.

"Yeah, you are, aren'tcha? Okay, let's get this baby back on the road. The sooner we get there, the sooner we'll be done, right?"
