Glorious Murder

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Joss and Mutant Enemy, who love to play with our
emotions and drive us utterly crazy with their 'subtext', own the characters of the story.
The two now and the more later.
Spoilers: Season 5 badness included. Sort of. Screw season 6.
Author's Notes: The whole story is based upon a dream I had, but this part I had
to add for preemptive purposes. The problem with f/f is that the pronouns get really
confusing. And annoying for me. There are phrases I think I've picked up from other fics.
Kudos to those writers. Also, this gets angsty, but not yet. Part 1, at least, is total
mush. Once I hit Part 2, sorry. But I promise a happy ending.
Feedback: Knock yourself out. Me like feedback. Are there oaks in CA?
It was a beautiful evening. The sky was a soft gold and the air held a fragrant tint of coming spring. Faith, at least, was enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. She was standing near some large oak trees on a hill, staring out over the horizon.
"Fai?" came a voice, accompanied by a soft touch on her elbow. Faith wasn't startled; she'd sensed the other girl - her girlfriend of six months - approaching.
"Hi," she replied, with a brief smile.
"Did you want to be alone? Cause, I could wait or something, if you just want some 'Faith time'...or something," Buffy finished lamely.
Faith wrapped her arm around the smaller girl's waist, pulling her in front of her and continuing to hold her from behind. "And if I'd rather have some 'Buffy time'?"
Buffy ran her hand over Faith's arm and linked her own fingers with those splayed across her stomach. "You just looked so serene and peaceful."
"I am. But I can be serene and peaceful with you here. Even more so." Buffy raised their intertwined fingers to her lips and kissed Faith's palm. She leaned back, relaxing into Faith and letting her head rest on her shoulder.
They stayed together, Faith leaning against a tree, Buffy leaning against Faith, and watched the sun set - fading to orange, to pink, finally to an amazing blue. "Should we patrol?" Buffy asked, regretting breaking the comfortable silence.
"It's been dead all week, B. How about we go home instead?" Her voice held that husky timber that Faith always managed to attain and her breath caressed Buffy's ear provocatively.
'Go home and do what, Faith? What does she mean by that?' Buffy thought. Out loud she said, "Go kill things and get all hot and sweaty, or go home with Faith. Hmm, is there a choice there?" She turned in the strong embrace, facing the brunette with a smirk. Their bodies were still pressed unbelievably close together and Buffy put on palm flat against Faith's stomach, her other hand on Faith's neck, pulling her down for a kiss. 'I didn't say there'd be no 'hot and sweaty', B. I'm ready, are you ready?' thought Faith.
The kiss grew in passion, from a 'just because' kiss to a gentle dueling of tongues and Buffy moving against Faith in steady rhythm with the kiss.
By the time they broke apart, Buffy had lost her hands in soft, dark curls and Faith's were trailing up Buffy's back, under her shirt. Buffy was leaning against Faith entirely, her knees weak; glad the tree was there to support them. 'Heh,' Faith thought, 'the slayers relying on a tree to hold them up. Where are the vamps?'
The girls were looking into each other's eyes, watching the desire darken them, as they worked to breathe normally again. "Weren't we going home?" Buffy whispered, never having moved.
"Yeah..." Faith responded, pushing off from the oak. Before letting go of the smaller woman in her arms, Faith kissed her nose and grinned at her. Then she linked their fingers and led Buffy down the hill. They only had to walk a short distance, from the small hill down to the Summers' back yard.
They walked up the porch steps, hand in hand as Buffy opened the door and pulled her girlfriend inside. Buffy took off her coat and tossed it on the couch. She turned, intending to take Faith's jacket as well, but instead found herself partaking in a searing kiss. The two slayers stayed kissing for a few hot minutes until Faith's lips left Buffy's to continue their ministrations elsewhere.
Faith kissed along Buffy's jaw line, pausing to lick her ear and whisper "I love you, B." Then she sucked gently on the lobe, leaving a wet and enticing trail all along Buffy's neck. Buffy moaned softly when Faith started to focus on a sensitive spot at the base of her throat. She moved her arms around the taller girl's waist, wanting to bring them closer still. But she found herself inhibited by Faith's leather jacket. 'Take off your coat, stay a while' Buffy thought, not realizing that she hadn't spoken aloud. What she did do, was to take Faith's face in her hands and kiss her deeply. Buffy was then able to reach around Faith's shoulder and - with Faith's compliance - got the jacket off and proceeded to throw it in the general direction of the couch.
Faith's hands were on Buffy's hips, every once in a while rounding her ass, and Buffy's were running a path from Faith's now-bare shoulders, to her face, to her hair, and back again.
Suddenly, Faith was cupping Buffy's face in her hands and Buffy's hands were buried in Faith's hair. The two were drinking each other in; kissing with a passion beyond even the realm of passion either had experienced prior to this moment.
"Fai," Buffy breathed, her lips mere millimeters from those they'd previously been on.
"Buffy," Faith responded in the same manner.
Buffy closed the tiny gap and kissed her love gently. Then, "Baby, do you...?"
Faith kissed her again. "I wanna make love to you."
'Are you sure?' Buffy was going to ask, but the look in Faith's eyes supplied all the answer she needed. "I'm yours," Buffy whispered sincerely. The two pairs of lips met in a fit of loving passion and raging desire. They'd waited long enough. It was time for them to be together completely.
"Lets go upstairs, B. I want to do this right." Buffy wrapped her arms around Faith's neck and leaned back in her girlfriend's embrace. First she grinned at the sweet expression on the beautiful face in front of her, then the blonde slayer tilted Faith's chin with one finger and kissed her softly on the nose. Faith didn't miss the chance to capture Buffy's lips in her own. Buffy gently pulled away and, taking Faith's hand in her own, led the brunette up to her room.
Notes: This shit is the stuff of dreams. Literally, not in the happy sense. Although I did have to make up stuff, my dreams lack transitions. Bad Part 2. You actually don't need to read Part 1. But this is evil and that is happy, so I don't know why you wouldn't. Unless you're a Satanist.
Buffy nipped gently at Faith's ear. "Wow," the younger one said. Buffy laughed warmly and gently slid her sweat soaked body over her girlfriend's - no, now lover's. "Wow, I mean that was -"
"You're amazing, Fai." Buffy kissed Faith soundly on the mouth, lying right on top of her. The brunette put her arms around Buffy, holding her against herself. Four hands roamed, getting to know each part of the other girl's body intimately, memorizing.
"I love you, B," Faith stated, her voice dripping with desire.
"Mmm, I know it. Feel like showing me again?" the blond purred. 'Gotta love that slayer stamina,' her partner thought, flipping Buffy onto her back.
Around four A.M., the young lovers finally tired themselves out. Faith was lying on her back and her petite girlfriend was snuggled half on top of her. They each had their arms wrapped around each other, their fingers trailing delicate yet inane patterns across uncovered skin. 'This must be what heaven is,' thought Faith, drifting off to sleep.
A minute or so later, she felt Buffy leave the comfort of her arms. "Buffy?" she whimpered. Buffy turned around, 'Oh I thought she was asleep. How cute...', and smiled at the sleepy figure in her bed. Holding her hair back with one hand, Buffy leaned down and planted a kiss on Faith's forehead. "I'll be right back." Then she walked towards the bedroom door. She could feel Faith's eyes on her naked form until the moment she put on her robe and left the room, and it made her blush happily.
After checking to see that Dawn, Willow, and Tara were home, Buffy almost skipped down the stairs despite being exhausted from making love with Faith all night. "I'm gonna marry that woman," the happy slayer announced to the empty kitchen. "Civil unions be damned!" she laughed. "Nothing'll keep us apart."
Buffy went to the sink to get a glass of water, having lost most of her body's moisture. Then she went about locking the doors and turning off the lights.
Buffy was on the first step when Faith stepped out of her bedroom. Or, at least she'd thought it was Faith. The woman turned on the hall light and Buffy could clearly see her face. The slayer was up the stairs and strangling her instantly.
"What the hell are you doing here, Glory?" Buffy growled vehemently. When she received no answer save a sardonic grin, she threw the Bitch g-d against the wall. "What do you want, bitch? Why are you here? Your chance is gone, Glory!" Buffy was suddenly thrown to the ground.
"For the key, maybe," Glory spat, following by kicking the prone slayer - hard.
"Faith!" Buffy screamed for help.
"Girlfriend's gone, you little whore."
"What the fuck did you do to her? Faith!" Buffy came up swinging. She hit Glory hard in the stomach and punched her across the jaw. "Where. Is. She?" Buffy screamed, enunciating each word with her fists and feet.
"Where do you think she is? Dead!"
Quickly switching out of slayer mode into scorned lover, Buffy slapped Glory across the face and pushed her away so fiercely that the g-d's head broke a picture hanging on the wall across from Buffy's bedroom. Snatching her chance, Buffy flew into her room, intent on finding her slayer.
"Faith!" the scared slayer yelled, successfully waking the entire neighborhood. "Faith?" she called softer, choking back a sob and falling to her knees.
"Buffy?" somebody called from behind her.
"All three of you - go back into your room!" she exclaimed, jumping up and gesturing vaguely at Willow and Tara.
"But - "
"Dawn! Go away!"
"Hey there, my little key! How's life in the human world? Oh, feeling sane again, eh, Witch?" For her greeting Glory received a punch in the face.
"G...G...Glory?" Dawn stammered, backing towards the master bedroom.
"Yep, it's me, getting beat up by your sister. Something about killing her girlfriend," complete with a dismissive hand gesture. "Royally pissed her off."
"She's not dead! I would feel it if she were dead! Where is Faith?!"
"Aw, come on, honey. Who are you trying to convince?"
"Dawnie, come on, let's go...s-she can take care of Glory." Willow and Tara took Dawn into their room - likely to call in the rest of the troops and try to stop the hell g-d with some spells.
"Hey, Slayer, if you don't mind, I'm just going to," she pointed towards the door.
"Like hell you are! Tell me what you did with Faith!"
"Details? Well, first we -"
"You fucking bitch!"
"Tsk, tsk. Rude interruptions will not be tolerated."
"I am going to smash your fucking face in! Tell me!"
"What a mouth! You kiss your dead mother with that mouth?"
"Screw you."
"Oh, is that how you two slayers got together?"
"Glory!"
"I'm sorry, little bitch, but she really is dead. All gone!" And she smiled. Buffy's face fell. 'What if she is dead?' she thought, distraught. 'What if Glory did kill her?' She could not decide what to do with the g-d in front of her. Kill her? What if Faith was hidden somewhere? 'Then I'll find her on my own,' Buffy resolved. 'Death to the super bitch!'
With a new found drive, the smaller blond set her jaw and broke Glory's with her hardest punch to date. "I don't like you," Buffy smiled wickedly. "And I know Faith isn't dead. I also know that I'll be able to find her without you. So now I am going to kill you."
Glory paled. For the first time in her immortal life she was scared. This moment of doubt was all the distraction Buffy needed. She grabbed the object nearest to her - it happened to be a small rug - and used it as a weapon. Wrapping it around the g-d's neck, Buffy twisted and squeezed. She banged Glory's head backward against the wall, shoving her to the ground and kneeing her in the gut on the way down. For her part, the g-dess of bad home perms was struggling to form words - her witty trash talking being one of her biggest assets.
The slayer soon found the rug boring and tossed it to the floor, its fringes having preceded it. She punched Glory again, this time coming under her chin, forcing the already broken jaw into yet a different position and her nose to bleed. Then Buffy looked around her, searching for another household object to use for violence. This time it was a sturdy wooden chair that had, until this instant, been home to Faith's pants and Buffy's shirt. Taking a firm grasp of the back, the infuriated young woman kicked the crumpled g-d a solid number of times. Then she swung the chair down as forcefully as she could, right on top of Glory's head. The g-d shrieked in pain. Buffy lifted it again and again, not even noticing as the blood splattered all across the walls.
"Bitch! You should have left us alone! Don't you learn?" A change was coming over Glory's face, which Buffy also failed to notice. And she was dying. With one final blow from the cracked chair, the blonde slayer broke Glory's skull, letting lose all the blood and brains inside. With that the g-d left this world, and something happened.
"Oh fuck!" Buffy exclaimed, backing up quickly. "No, no, that's a cheap trick. You think I'd believe that?" she shouted at the dead body. "I killed Glory! I did not kill Faith! That's just her face! It's a trick! You here me? A fucking bad trick - and I don't believe it! That's crap! I didn't kill...bullshit, Glory. That's you." Buffy threw the broken shards of wood at the body, ignoring the gap that seemed to be forming itself in her heart. She backed up all the way into her room, leaning against a window and looking into the hallway - the blood, the body, the chair. She whispered to herself, "That's not Faith...that's Glory. I couldn't have killed my..."
